America 1881: Legend of the West

Chapter 332: How can we accomplish great things together with the insects?

"Donovan, don't just sit there, come and help us!" Tom ran around holding a lit torch.

This torch is improvised.

A piece of wood was picked up from nowhere, a piece of clothing was wrapped around it, and then soaked in a kerosene barrel for a while.

He looked back and saw Donovan sitting on a barrel, somewhat dissatisfied.

"Are you blind? Didn't you see that I was looking at Jesse James's wife and this woman?" Donovan pointed his gun at the old lady who was tied up next to him.

Looking at the billowing smoke, he was satisfied.

Firstly, he was secretly proud of his plan, and secondly, he followed the guidance of Alan Pinkerton, the boss of the detective agency.

In this way, the legendary thief will come whether he comes or not.

"If you burn our house, my brother will definitely kill you all."

Jesse James's sister stared savagely at Donovan.

Her cheeks were swollen and her mouth was bleeding.

"Oh, really? Then you'll have to see this scene with your own eyes later." Donovan sarcastically said, "But it's not us who die, but your brother's polished commander."

"What do you think the newspaper headline should be? The heroic Pinkerton detective kills the legendary thief? Oh, no, it's not impressive."

Donovan has already begun to think about it, and he now wants Jesse James to fall into the trap.

Then, his wish came true.

There was movement on the grassland in the distance.

Faintly, people and horses appeared in the field of vision.

Tom raised the telescope in his hand and looked in that direction.

"Donovan, it seems to be Jesse James." He said excitedly, but then his expression changed, "But, why are there seven or eight people behind him?"

"What? Seven or eight people?" Donovan was stunned upon hearing this.

He jumped down from the barrel in a hurry, walked over to Tom, and snatched the telescope from his hand.

As expected, Jesse James's standard goatee face appeared in the telescope, but behind him was a group of people.

These people don't look like aliens.

"What should I do?" Tom asked from the side.

"Why do you ask what to do?" Donovan was a little upset.

There were several more people on the opposite side than here, which was completely different from what was originally expected.

This is a bit troublesome.

Tom turned around and beckoned everyone to prepare to retreat.

Donovan took off his telescope and looked at Tom: "What are you going to do?"

"Run, there are more of them than us."

Donovan almost lost his breath and fainted: "Run? You, a Pinkerton detective, saw a criminal running? Will we still be able to handle the case if word spreads about it? Will Harry skin you?"

He took a deep breath: "It's okay, his mother and sister are in our hands, and we are on defense, they are on offense, and we have the terrain advantage."

In a blink of an eye, Jesse James and Carson had arrived near the ranch.

He was filled with rage as he looked at his burning ranch and the two cowboy corpses lying on the ground.

He stared at the only building in the ranch that wasn't on fire.

The people who kidnapped his mother and sister should be near that building, behind those boxes and barrels.

"Jesse James! Your mother and sister are in our hands. If you still want to save their lives, come here alone. One for two, you won't lose!"

Donovan's voice came from the side of the building.

"Donovan, do we really want to trade with him? Will the people behind him let us go?" asked Tom, who was guarding the old lady and the woman behind him.

"Stop it, wait until he gets closer, and kill everything with one shot." Donovan replied.

But what they could think of, how could Jesse James, an old gangster, not think of it.

He didn't talk nonsense to these people at all, and gave Carson a look directly.

Carson led people around from the side.

As for himself, he slowly approached from the front with a gun.

He watched for any possible enemy.

"Fuck, Donovan, Jesse James is really here!" Tom saw the legendary thief from the side, his hands were shaking with excitement, and he shouted to Donovan.

"Then what are you waiting for? Shoot!" Donovan raised the spear in his hand.

"boom!"

Behind him, Tom's gun rang out.

Donovan winced.

He exposed half of his head and looked forward, only to find Jesse James standing there properly.

"Can you please aim again?" Donovan turned back, preparing to angrily scold his partner.

However, he saw something he couldn't believe.

Jesse James's mother fell in a pool of blood.

"mom!"

A woman's shrill cry pierced the sky and echoed over the pasture.

Tom looked at Donovan blankly: "You asked me to shoot!"

Donovan knew that everything was over, and now, there was no end to the fight.

He raised his hand and shot the distraught woman to death.

If you don't do it, you won't stop. Burn your house and kill your people. Come on!

Jesse James, who was outside the ranch, heard the crying and already knew what had happened.

He suddenly felt dizzy, his legs softened, and he fell to the ground.

Dad is dead! My brother is dead! The younger brother who followed him died! Now mom is dead! My sister is dead too!

"I'll kill you!"

Jesse James climbed up from the ground, his cheeks trembling, his eyes red, and shot dead a Pinkerton detective who stuck his head out and was about to shoot him.

Carson heard the gun barrel here and rushed over.

The gangsters, who were no longer concerned, began to besiege the Pinkerton detectives in the ranch.

Soon, at the cost of four people, they surrounded the building.

On Detective Pinkerton's side, four people also died, but this meant that they were almost completely wiped out.

Donovan, the only one left, had no retreat and his arm was injured.

"I surrender! I surrender!" He had retreated into the house and shouted outside.

Four people died in Carson's body, which was a bit painful.

He was calculating whether Jesse James was worth the price of more than four people.

They have a very negative attitude towards building attacks.

Where there is a wrongdoer, there is a debtor, so let the legendary gangsters solve the problem on their own.

If he couldn't even deal with an injured Donovan, then he could consider kidnapping this person directly for a bounty.

Not far from the pasture, White squatted alone in the grass, staring intently in the direction of the pasture.

He followed the traces of his colleagues all the way.

On the way here, he heard gunshots coming from the ranch in the distance.

It seemed that the battle had already occurred, and his undercover agent would probably lose his life.

He had no intention of saving his colleagues.

That telegram made him no longer want to work at Pinkerton Detective Agency. Even being a groom was better than being a dog for these idiots.

All he wants now is to catch or kill Jesse James, so that he can give an account of his past efforts, avenge the undercover agent who may have died, and secondly, he can exchange for a small bounty.

White slowly approached the pasture.

But the battle situation in front of him gave him a headache.

Pinkerton's detectives were decimated, and Carson's men, plus Jesse's, were five more.

These five people are all experienced gunmen with many battles.

One against five, it seems like there is no chance of winning.

Moreover, even if he finds a chance to kill the legendary thief, he doesn't seem to have a chance to escape.

The remaining four people will kill him soon.

White squatted in the grass, helpless.

Suddenly, he heard a sound in the grass behind him.

White became alert and turned his head to the left.

Then he was tapped on his right shoulder.

White was startled and turned around again, only to see a yellow-skinned face.

It was the Chen Jianqiu who had been thrown out of the sky by him since he broke into Dodge City.

"Hey, why didn't you call me when you were on a mission? If I hadn't happened to pass by the door of your hotel, I would have missed this opportunity."

Chen Jianqiu looked at him with a smile.

"Let's take care of these people."

White felt faintly disappointed in his heart.

But he quickly corrected his thinking.

Because the prerequisite for disappointment is to have expectations. What can he expect from the young man in front of him?

I originally had a mission to check on him.

If he is not rich, then he is.

White suddenly took a breath.

The smile on Chen Jianqiu's face was still there, but the overall feeling he gave people was a completely different person.

He took out the two golden revolvers from his waist.

"How can you achieve great things if you always work with insects?"

Chen Jianqiu raised his gun and pointed it at the only gang member not far away who was now exposed to their sight.

He pulled the trigger.
