America 1881: Legend of the West

Chapter 333 The first operation of the Border Detective Agency

There was a gunshot.

The gang member targeted by Chen Jianqiu fell to the ground.

The bullet penetrated directly through the back of the head. The whole head was like a watermelon, with blood splattering everywhere.

The first person to react was "Handsome Boy" Nicholson, who squatted closest to the gang member.

He witnessed with his own eyes how people around him were being shot.

Nicholson subconsciously moved his position and looked behind him.

But unexpectedly, a bullet shot over and knocked his hat off.

It was White who fired the gun. When Nicholson moved, he saw a yellow cowboy hat peeking out from the edge of the barrel.

Nicholson broke out in a cold sweat. Without thinking, he rolled and ran to the back of another bunker.

"Back there!" he yelled at Carson.

There was no sound from Carson's side, but there was movement from Donovan in the room.

He was half-kneeling against the wall by the door, his arms hanging down, and his wounds were bleeding.

There were at least five guns pointed at the door.

All of them were experienced gunmen, and one of them had just set fire to his house and killed his mother and sister.

Donovan knew he was dead.

However, the gunfire outside the house gave him a glimmer of hope.

White comes to his rescue.

"Damn it, White, I'm in the house over here! Come and save me!" Donovan's voice came from the window.

But the next moment, he paid the price for his cry for help.

Jesse James appeared in the house, directly opposite him, with the black hole in his hand pointed at him.

Flames erupted from the muzzle of the gun, hitting Donovan with one hit and knocking him to the ground.

"I found you, bastard! This is my ranch!" The legendary gangster looked ferocious and stared at the detective who was tired in the corner with red eyes.

He reached in through the back door and heard Donovan's voice.

Jesse stepped forward and sprayed Donovan again, then spat on the body.

At this time, outside the house, "Handsome Boy" Nicholson and "Bull" Steve were looking for traces of the gunman who attacked them.

Behind them before, outside the pasture, was a patch of shrubs and grass half as tall as a man. It was impossible to tell where the enemy was.

"Outside! I am Law Enforcement Officer Carson of Dodge City. I am enforcing the law here. If it is convenient, we can talk."

Carson's voice came from somewhere in the ranch.

Chen Jianqiu and White had already changed positions. They were squatting in the grass one behind the other.

He seemed to be waiting for something.

But White seemed unable to bear it any longer.

It seemed to him that there were at least four people in the pasture opposite, but only two on his side.

He was ready to take a gamble: "I am Pinkerton Detective White. There are at least seven or eight guns pointed at you now. Hand over Jesse James, otherwise, you will bear the consequences."

Chen Jianqiu glanced at White, his expression a bit intriguing.

But he suddenly realized something was wrong.

The feeling of danger is just for a moment.

Without thinking, Chen Jianqiu put his foot on White's back in front of him, and used the force to roll backwards.

White instantly lost his center of gravity and fell forward to the ground.

He was just about to turn around and angrily scold Chen Jianqiu for his sudden attack. He was blind, how could he give his back to such a person.

But there was a gunshot, and a bullet flew past him and hit the place where he was squatting.

Immediately afterwards, the other two gang members followed with guns.

It is not easy for Carson to succeed Wyatt as the law enforcement officer of Dodge City. He can accurately determine the enemy's location based on sounds.

"Go! Both directions!"

Chen Jianqiu began to move quickly in the grass, while White went in the other direction.

Nicholson, the "handsome boy" who was closest, observed the movement in the grass.

It seemed that the two people on the opposite side were busy running for their lives, so he decided to deal with one of them first.

So, he stood up, raised the repeating rifle in his hand, and aimed at the moving grass.

The gunman's nickname comes from his blond hair and handsome face.

This stands out among the rough old men in the West.

A gust of prairie wind blew into the farm, ruffling his golden hair and bringing with it a loud gunshot.

Nicholson's face, which fascinated thousands of Dodge City wanderers, was instantly shattered.

The body fell lifelessly.

A few hundred meters away from the ranch, a woman in a red dress adjusted the shooting rod expressionlessly, and then stuffed a new bullet into the chamber of the Sharps 1874 in front of her.

At the same time, gunfire rang out from behind the ranch.

Wyatt and several others came over from behind.

Carson's back felt cold. He judged from the sound of gunshots that, together with Sharps who was driving the gun in the distance, there were at least six or seven people outside the ranch.

That Pinkerton detective actually told the truth.

"We surrender! We are willing to hand over Jesse James!" Carson shouted outside the ranch while quietly moving toward the stables that had been burned to rubble.

The legendary thieves in the room had long known that the guys in Dodge City were unreliable.

He picked up the gun and ran toward the back door.

After rushing to the back door, the experienced thief took a deep breath and opened the back door.

The door hit the wall, but he took a step back and did not go out.

Gunshots rang out.

Hanif has been waiting here for a long time.

Jesse James turned and ran.

He ran upstairs along the stairs.

For most people, upstairs is a dead end, but for someone like him who climbs trains and buildings all year round, that's not necessarily the case.

But just as he stepped on the stairs and turned around and rushed to the corner of the stairs on the second floor, he found someone waiting for him here.

The man grinned, revealing white teeth that looked like crescent moons.

"Oh, crap." The legendary thief uttered his last words before he was nailed to the wall by a shotgun bullet.

He is not the only one who is good at climbing stairs, Sean can do it too.

The black man achieved his highest killing achievement in his life - killing the legendary bandit, Jesse James.

Hearing the gunfire in the house, "Bull" Steve was no longer as brave as when he first entered the ranch.

He is now like a frightened bird.

Steve shot into the grass and ran close to the house toward the cattle pen.

Around the corner, he bumped into Wyatt.

The moment the two met, they pulled the triggers in their hands almost at the same time.

Wyatt's marksmanship is not as good as his old friend Holiday, but his ability to suppress one party in places like Dodge City and Tombstone relies on his decisiveness in dealing with problems and his outstanding physical skills.

It is said that the former police sergeant never had a single gunshot wound in his body.

The results speak for themselves.

"Bull" was shot and fell to the ground, and then was shot twice by Wyatt who got up from the ground, killing him.

Carson was the only one left in the ranch.

He is avoiding Holiday's pursuit.

The current Sheriff of Dodge City had taken refuge near the water trough of the still-warm stables, near the edge of the pasture.

He endured the residual heat and listened to the movements around him.

However, the dentist who was chasing him knew him very well. Not only did he not say a word, but he also walked very lightly.

Carson knew that if he continued like this, he would definitely die.

He gritted his teeth, rushed out of the sink in one step, and jumped over to the fence.

The dentist's gun went off.

The bullet struck the fence behind Carson, sending up splinters of wood.

Carson dropped a shit in an unsightly manner.

But he quickly got up from the ground.

If you can't kill him with one shot, stop trying to kill him.

His horse was parked not far away, within easy reach.

You bastards can't kill me. When I get back to Dodge City, I'll call someone over to deal with you.

Carson cursed as he rushed toward his horse.

But when he rushed in front of the horse, slapped the horse's butt and got on the horse.

From the corner of his eye, he suddenly noticed a little golden light appearing in the grass.

"Bang, bang." Two gunshots rang out.

Carson's body flipping in mid-air stopped, and then fell down limply.

His feet were in the stirrups.

The horses started dragging his body across the grassland until it was beyond recognition.

"Damn it, don't delay. Your Honor, Judge Dodge, won't be able to identify the body later."

Chen Jianqiu curled his lips and inserted the two golden revolvers back into the holsters.

He whistled into the pasture:

"The Border Detective Agency's first operation, call it a day!"

Behind him, White also stood up from the grass.

He glanced at the men coming out of the ranch and the bodies that had been killed by their guns.

stunned.
