I almost touched the moon

Chapter 16 You Don't Have to Be So Careful with Me

At 11 o'clock the next day, Wen Song received a WeChat message from Cheng Che on time, "I'm downstairs. Is my sister ok?"

She replied with an "ok", then picked up her things and walked downstairs. Cheng Che parked the car on the side of the road and stood in the lobby of the apartment waiting for her. When he saw her, he smiled brightly and waved at her, "Sister Wensong, here."

Wen Song also smiled and nodded, and walked towards him. He immediately reached out to take the ski bag from her back. Wen Song thanked him for his kindness and said, "No, I can carry it myself. It's not heavy."

He smiled without forcing her, and then asked, "Sister, have you eaten yet? Do you want to go have brunch first?"

"Okay." Wen Song nodded and said, "There's a good brunch restaurant across the street."

After finishing their meal, Wen Song walked to the car with him. When they opened the trunk to put the ski bag, they were stunned by the scene in front of them.

"Are you moving?" She looked at the trunk full of skis and other equipment, and even though she didn't like to meddle in other people's business, she still asked out of curiosity.

Cheng Che helped her stuff the bag into the trunk and explained, "No, no... Didn't my sister say yesterday that she wanted to snowboard? But generally speaking, people who are used to double boards may not like them very much. So I took them all. It just so happened that I had extra snowboards at home, so I brought one for each of my sisters... In the end, it seems like, it's too many." After saying that, he stuck out his tongue embarrassedly and chuckled twice.

He glanced at the skis she brought with her, then at the two pairs of skis and two snowboards in the trunk. If he hadn't known better, you would have thought he was reselling second-hand ski equipment.

"Thank you." Although Wen Song felt that this scene was a bit ridiculous, he still thanked him for his kindness and got into the car and sat in the passenger seat.

She didn't know if it was her illusion, but she felt that Cheng Che's car seemed particularly clean today. Even the interior looked brand new and it was sprayed with some perfume. She knew it was the scent of Byredo Gypsy Water as soon as she smelled it, which was also her favorite perfume.

Soon after the departure, she felt a little sleepy and leaned against the car window to rest. Although her eyes were closed, she could clearly feel that the driver had turned down the stereo and turned on the heater.

The late spring noon sun shone on her face, warm and comfortable, and before she knew it, she really fell asleep. Wen Song had always been a very cautious person, but unexpectedly, in Cheng Che's car, next to this boy whom she had only seen four times, she slept very peacefully.

Not long after sleeping, she woke up. The car had entered the Alps in Austria. There were towering mountains on both sides, with snow on the top. There were unknown lakes in the valley, ripples in the breeze, and shining in the sunlight. It was a beautiful scenery that would amaze you no matter how many times you saw it.

Cheng Che was also delighted by the scenery and took the initiative to say: "I went to high school in the UK, but the weather there was really terrible. When I was in the first year of high school, I went skiing in Switzerland with my friends. At that time, I thought the scenery in Switzerland was really beautiful, so when I applied for university, I decided to go to school in Switzerland."

"Yeah." Wen Song nodded and said, "It's really beautiful."

"Sister Wensong... is from Switzerland?" He asked cautiously, "Which city is she from?"

"Zurich." Wen Song's voice was a little low and lazy. "My mother immigrated to Switzerland before, so I went with her."

"What a coincidence?" Cheng Che was overjoyed. "I'm at ETH Zurich. So, when I'm in Zurich, can I also play with my sister?"

He thought about what word to use. "Eating together" seemed too fake, and "date" was too ambiguous. After thinking for a long time, he said "playing together." But as soon as he said it, he felt it was too childish.

Wen Song also laughed at this word, looked at him and said, "I usually go back to Zurich for vacation. If there is nothing special, it should be okay."

"That's great." Cheng Che tried to look more reserved, but he couldn't hide the smile on his face. He could only reluctantly change the subject and said, "It's very difficult to become a Swiss citizen. Your mother must be very outstanding."

"Well..." Wen Song's face showed admiration when he mentioned his mother, "She is the most amazing woman I have ever seen..."

After hearing what she said, Cheng Che didn't say anything, but showed an envious expression and smiled at her.

They talked all the way and soon arrived at the ski resort. Wen Song looked at the four skis, two snowboards, and four ski poles in Cheng Che's hands and couldn't help laughing. He said to him, "Don't take my two boards. I'll just snowboard today."

Taking another snowboard from him, he joked, "Now I believe you are really a snowboarder. You really have all the equipment."

"Ah..." Cheng Che felt a little embarrassed by what she said. He would never say that he bought the single board for her early in the morning. He scratched his head and said, "Well... poor students have more stationery."

"Really?" Wen Song was amused by his words and also joked, "People who can master freestyle skiing don't seem to be bad students."

"Sister will know whether I am a bad student or not after seeing it." Cheng Che said as he walked forward and got closer to her. "I can perform a freestyle show for you."

Wen Song's heartbeat quickened because of his sudden approach, and her face even turned red unconsciously. He was so handsome, wearing a white sweater and standing in the bright sunlight, it really looked like the young male protagonist in a Korean idol drama came to life. No... Wen Song shook her head, what on earth was she thinking.

She turned her head away, not daring to look him in the eye, but she was interested in what he said. She really wanted to see him skiing... so she whispered, "Okay, okay."

Cheng Che was at a loss for words because of her reaction, and explained in a panic, "Well, that's not what I meant. No, oh, I didn't mean to show off or anything... It's just that, if sister wants to see it..."

"I want to watch." Wen Song was amused by his sudden confusion, and the panic in his heart faded. Seeing that he was still a little confused, he repeated, "I said, I want to watch you skate freestyle."

Cheng Che finally realized that she was not unhappy, and he smiled with relief, saying to her: "Don't worry, sister, there are not many gangsters here, I won't be hit again."

Wen Song couldn't help but laugh, and noticed that he would think for a moment before speaking to him, so he looked at him and said, "Cheng Che, you don't need to be so cautious when talking to me."

"Ah? What?" Cheng Che couldn't believe his ears.

"I said, you don't have to be so cautious in front of me." She continued to look at him with a faint smile, her tone flat but gentle, "Just be natural."

"Okay." Cheng Che was both delighted and shy because of her words. His ears turned red. He was afraid of being embarrassed, so he said to her, "Let's go quickly. Otherwise, if we go too late, we may have to wait in line for the cable car."
