I almost touched the moon
Chapter 17 Give me your hand
After changing into ski clothes and snowshoes, they took the cable car up the mountain together. Wen Song noticed that Cheng Che only took a single board, and she felt disappointed for a moment. In fact, she really wanted to see him ski double boards.
On the cable car, two people sat side by side, keeping an arm's length apart. Neither of them was outgoing and lively, so it was inevitable that they felt a little awkward at this distance, and each of them looked to one side, pretending to look at the scenery.
Cheng Che kept glancing at the people around him, and couldn't help but lower his head and smile. Wen Song also smelled the same perfume on him as herself, and turned back to look at him. Their eyes met inadvertently, and they smiled at each other shyly.
"Let's go to the greenway or blueway first." Cheng Che suggested, "Sis, if you don't know how to snowboard, it's better to start from the basics. Which one do you want to go to?"
"Let's do it, Lan Dao." Wen Song said, "But won't that be too unfair to you?"
"No." Cheng Che smiled, "I will accompany my sister today, but if you don't want to learn, we can change to double boards and go to the top of the mountain."
"Okay." Wen Song gave him a heads-up in advance, "But my balance is very poor, I will probably keep falling."
Cheng Che said, "What's the big deal? I also fell a lot when I first started learning to ski. And my sister can ski on two boards, so she can learn to ski on one board very quickly. Don't worry, I will definitely teach you."
While he was speaking, he kept looking at Wen Song with clear eyes and a smile. Wen Song was also somewhat touched by his smile and blushed unconsciously.
She remembered this scene for many years.
Even though she had forgotten whether she had finally learned how to snowboard that day, she always remembered that they were sitting on the cable car with the snow-capped mountains of Salzburg behind them, his bright and confident smile when he looked at her, and the faint scent of Byredo Gypsy Water on his body.
When Wen Song arrived at the beginner's slope, she couldn't put on her skateboard on her left foot, perhaps because she was not familiar with it. Cheng Che noticed this, took off his skateboard, and walked in front of her, "Let me help you."
Before Wen Song could agree or refuse, he had already knelt on one knee in the snow to fix her left foot. "Cheng Che..." Wen Song was about to say I can do it myself, but he interrupted her.
"Okay." He looked up and smiled, "Let's see if it's too tight."
"No...just right." Wen Song's voice was a little low because he was embarrassed, "Thank you, sorry for the trouble."
"It's okay. There seems to be something wrong with the lock of this board..." Cheng Che laughed twice and asked, "Sister, can you stand firmly now?"
Wen Song nodded and said, "Okay, but I don't know how to slide."
Cheng Che asked again: "Sister, can you skate on one foot on flat ground?"
"Yeah, I can do this." Wen Song said a little embarrassedly, "But I can't do it with my feet..."
"It's okay." Cheng Che said gently, "Just take your time. I will teach you."
Noticing that she was a little unsteady on her feet, Cheng Che reminded her in a gentle voice, "Don't straighten your knees. Bend them slightly and lift your toes. Make sure to tighten your core and concentrate your strength on your lower body." At the same time, he stretched out his hand, ready to support her at any time.
Wen Song adjusted his posture according to his instructions. Although he couldn't move freely, at least he wouldn't fall as soon as he got on the board like before.
"Sister is very talented." Cheng Che said seriously, "Why did you fall so often before? It must be because the coach didn't teach you well."
"You want to take this opportunity to praise yourself." After spending some time together, Wen Song was no longer so distant from him, and occasionally he would be in the mood to joke with him.
Cheng Che smiled and said, "Although I am indeed a very good coach, I also need smart students to teach well. Sister, try to maintain this movement, and then use the back edge to exert force, just like me." As he said that, he slowed down the speed and demonstrated it to her.
When Wen Song heard his words, he felt a flash of disappointment.
She never liked snowboarding. She wanted to learn it because Skyline liked it. So when he came to Munich, Wen Song went to the coach to learn how to snowboard, but she couldn't learn it. In the end, she could only guide him on double boards, and Skyline naturally fell many times in the snow, which wiped out the little interest he had just developed in skiing.
She smiled, not wanting to recall the past, and slid forward like Cheng Che did. When she had walked down the slope for more than ten meters, she fell down as expected.
When Cheng Che saw Wen Song, who was always dignified and elegant, fall in the snow and look a little cute and embarrassed, he suddenly felt that the distance between him and her was not that far, so he slid over and helped her up.
Wen Song thanked him for his kindness, pushed his hand away and said softly, "I can do it myself." Then he stood up again and slid forward for a distance.
"She is really... independent." Thinking of this, he began to like Wen Song even more.
In the past, he would sometimes go skiing with the opposite sex. Most of the girls who went skiing together could be divided into two types. One type was the one who was trying to show off on purpose. They were clearly just novices but wanted to challenge the intermediate and advanced ski slopes. This scared him so much that he only dared to stand by and act as a "flower protector" the whole time.
There is another type… She just fell down in the snow and started yelling that she couldn't get up, and she had to ask him to help her up. But Wen Song was different. She wouldn't try to be strong, and she wouldn't play the victim and act weak to attract his attention.
Maybe it was because her balance ability was really poor. After sliding for dozens of meters, she met a group of children practicing skiing. She couldn't dodge in time and could only fall on the snow.
Cheng Che also came to her side, stretched out his hand and said, "Give me your hand, I will slowly lead you and teach you how to turn."
Wen Song stood up and put her hand in his naturally without any hesitation. Skiing hand in hand was a very natural thing. But the moment she touched his hand, she seemed to be able to feel the warmth of his palm even through the thick ski gloves. Was it her illusion? His hand was really hot.
Was he nervous? His palms were sweating, and the hands holding hers couldn't stop shaking. Fortunately, they were covered by ski gloves, so she shouldn't be able to feel it.
Cheng Che took a deep breath, calmed his thoughts, held her hand tightly and said, "Don't worry, sister, I won't let you fall."
After sliding hand in hand on the snow for a long time, Cheng Che tried to let go and said, "I'm letting go, sister, try it."
Wen Song tried it and was indeed much more skilled than at the beginning. Suddenly, a couple slid down the snow track. The boy was holding his girlfriend in his arms like a princess. Because of their weight, they slid down faster.
Wen Song immediately turned to avoid it, but the opponent was sliding down too fast, and she was not skilled enough, so she could only temporarily move to the left, hoping that the opponent would react and avoid her in time. But the opponent didn't seem to have any intention of avoiding her...
Suddenly, someone pulled her arm forcefully, and the next second she fell into a strong embrace and fell on the snow with that person.
Because Cheng Che acted as a human cushion for her from below, Wen Song was not hurt from the fall, but the person she was pinning under was obviously hit hard and let out a muffled groan.
"Are you okay?!" Wen Song immediately stood up, took off his skateboard, pulled Cheng Che up from the ground, and asked with concern, "How are you? Did you get your legs squeezed? Sorry, I really don't have any athletic talent..." His tone was anxious and a little guilty.
"It's okay, it's okay." Cheng Che quickly stood up from the ground and slid forward a few steps to show that he was really fine. He explained to Wen Song, "Don't worry, sister. I'm really fine. I fell much harder than this during practice before. Are you okay, sister?"
"I'm fine." Seeing that he was not seriously injured, Wen Song breathed a sigh of relief, and his heart finally settled down.
Seeing that she was feeling a little disappointed and self-blaming, Cheng Che glanced at the couple who were still doing the princess-carrying skating, frowned and said unhappily, "You have poor skills but you still have to do these fancy tricks. You didn't even apologize for hurting someone. That's really too much."
She comforted Wen Song and said, "It's not Sister's fault. It's because they didn't slow down or give way when they saw people sliding down. That's too much... But, Sister, do you want to try? I have good skills. I won't bump into others, and I won't fall..."
He mustered up his courage to say the second half of the sentence, waiting for Wen Song's reaction with some nervousness and anticipation.
"No, no." Wen Song did not refuse decisively, but thought about it first. This somewhat provocative sentence did not cause her disgust. On the contrary, she really looked forward to it a little bit...
Cheng Che was relieved to see that she was not angry or unhappy, and asked her again: "Sister, do you still want to learn?"
Wen Song glanced at the time, shook his head and said, "Forget it, it's already five o'clock, let's change to double boards. I really don't like single boards."
"Okay." Cheng Che also nodded and said, "Then let's go to the top of the mountain. I also want to ski with my sister."
