Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 10 A Birthday Gift for Harry

"Slytherin."

Amanta replied without hesitation.

Harry followed, his voice hesitant, "I'm a Slytherin, just like Amanta."

"Really?" Their answer obviously surprised Draco. "If nothing unexpected happens, I will definitely be a Slytherin too. After all, my whole family is Slytherin."

The corners of Amanta's mouth rose slightly.

"No one knows what house they will be sorted into before sorting, but... I hope we'll see you in Slytherin."

"it is good!"

Draco and Harry said in unison.

After buying all the textbooks, they went to buy quills, parchment, a large crucible, scales and telescopes for measuring medicines, various potion materials, and went to Ollivander's wand shop.

God, testing wands is the most tiring and dangerous activity.

Harry and Draco tried too many wands, and these naughty wands refused to recognize them as their masters and made all kinds of protests, which almost blew up the whole store.

Especially Harry, his level of trouble was comparable to Amanta's.

It was almost late when the three of them came out of the wand shop exhausted.

Amanta took out the parchment list and counted the numbers on it.

"...a telescope, a balance...oh wait, I don't think I've gone to buy a pet yet."

"Neither do I." Harry continued, seeming a little confused. "Do I have to bring a pet?"

"Well... I'm not sure, but I think we should buy an owl. Wizards use it to deliver letters and packages."

"Draco, what about you?" Amanta asked again.

"My father bought me one a long time ago, it's an eagle owl." Draco was quite proud when he mentioned this, "I think the eagle owl is the most powerful and majestic owl."

Eeyore Owl Shop was dark, and there were so many owls here that it was impossible to count them. Amanta saw twenty or thirty species alone - of course there might be more than that.

As Harry reached into the cage to tease a snowy owl.

Amanta suddenly remembered that Harry grew up in an environment of abuse by the Dursleys and had never received a decent gift.

She said to Harry, "By the way, it was your birthday yesterday... I haven't given you a birthday present yet, how about I give you this snowy owl?"

Harry was a little panicked: "What... no need..."

Amanta winked at him: "It's okay, remember to return it to me on my birthday."

"Yeah, okay..." Harry stammered, silently taking note.

Draco, who was silent on the side, took out a book from the arms of his robes and handed it to Harry.

"This book is for you as your birthday present."

Harry held the brand new copy of Quidditch Through the Ages in his arms and looked at Draco with emotion.

"Draco, thank you too..."

Harry's eyes were full of tears, and his eyes shifted between Amanta and Draco. He was a little at a loss, not knowing where to put his hands and feet.

"You're welcome."

Draco said dryly.

It was obvious that he had put aside his fake smile and arrogance and was not very good at dealing with such situations.

"Maybe we can play Quidditch together in Slytherin, although they don't allow first-years to bring their own broomsticks - that's a really outrageous rule."

While they were chatting, Amanta also chose her own pet owl, a small and cute Eastern Scops Owl. Its round head reminded Amanta of a Ragdoll cat.

After confirming that all the school supplies had been purchased, Amanta said goodbye to Draco and Harry at the door of Eeyore Owl Shop.

Harry was still a little reluctant to leave. When Amanta comforted him that they could meet at the old place, Draco couldn't help but interrupt and said, "The old place? Where do you usually meet?"

Amanta raised her eyebrows, a little surprised: "You want to come too?"

"...Well, I will reluctantly discuss with you the courses we are going to study."

Draco had an indifferent expression on his face, but his eyes secretly glanced at Amanta, as if waiting for Amanta's answer.

Amanta was a little helpless.

"Okay, then let's wait for the owl to contact us."

When Amanta walked towards Florin Fosco's Ice Cream Shop, there were only a few pedestrians on Diagon Alley, so she saw Professor McGonagall standing at the door at a glance.

The sun was about to set and the three of them had wasted too long.

Amanta hurried over and explained, "Professor McGonagall, I made friends with two first-year students at Hogwarts, and we bought school supplies together, so..."

Professor McGonagall interrupted, "Hagrid already told me, it's okay. Have you bought everything?"

"Yes, I have bought everything."

"Then I will take you back now, Miss Merlin."

Amanta once again grasped Professor McGonagall's arm tightly.

After a dizzying experience, they stood at the door of the Taos Orphanage, but this time her discomfort was obviously much better than before.

"Miss Merlin, I hope you enjoy your seven years at Hogwarts."

After Professor McGonagall finished saying this, the hard line of her jaw relaxed, and she gave Amanta a faint smile, then turned around and disappeared into the air just like she had come here this morning.

There is still one month left until school starts on September 1st.

Amanda wrote two notes, asking Draco and Harry to meet at their old place on Privet Drive three days later, and then gave them to her Bertha - yes, the Eastern Scops Owl she had just bought.

Bertha soon brought back replies from both of them.

"Great, I've been reading these textbooks since I got back, History of Magic is my favourite, and I decided to call my owl 'Hedwig' - that's what I found in this book, and I can't stop reading it every night. I can't believe how excited I am to see you all, and I can't wait to discuss all this with you. By the way, the Dursleys haven't bothered me since I came back - they just ignore me..."

This was Harry's reply, filling up two sheets of paper.

Draco's reply was unexpectedly brief.

"it is good."

Amanta turned the light green letter over and checked it carefully to make sure he hadn't written a second word.

"Master Malfoy is really a man of few words."

Amanta sighed.

What Amanta didn't know was.

Malfoy Manor in Whitley, England.

The platinum-haired boy stood in front of the gorgeous and quaint dressing mirror in his room, changing into different robes and brooches over and over again without getting tired of it, examining himself with a frown.

Then he asked Dobby, the house-elf who was standing by and serving.

"Would it be appropriate for me to wear this the day after tomorrow?"
