Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 15: Happy Times on the Train

"Of course, famous savior, if you don't want to be watched like a monkey, then stay still."

Draco said sarcastically, then looked over to Amanta who was sitting across from him and Harry.

"Amanta, can you do anything about the scar on his head?"

"...I saw a spell in a book before, which can temporarily confuse others."

"It's just that I haven't really used the wand yet." Amanta weighed the wand, as if looking for a suitable grip. "How about trying it now?"

"No, no, no! Forget it..."

Harry quickly covered his forehead in fear and shrank into the corner of his seat.

"I don't want to become a guinea pig for an experiment. Oh, of course it's not that I don't trust you... but after all, you haven't used magic yet, right?"

"Okay, but I think we can start practicing on the train."

Amanta stood up, reached over the small table on the train, and took Harry's glasses.

“Reparo.”

The broken lenses that were held together with tape were quickly integrated and restored to their original appearance when the tape was removed.

Harry took the pair of round glasses that were so new that they didn't look like his own in a daze.

"Amanta! You are so... so amazing." Harry exclaimed.

Draco, who was watching all this quietly, said: "You succeeded in using magic the first time... You do have some talent in magic."

"This shows that you still have a lot of work to do. Come on, it's time to test our learning results for this month."

At Amanta's signal, Harry and Draco also took out their wands and learned to cast spells on the small objects around them.

Harry raised his wand nervously and spoke to his glove.

"Wingardium—Leviosa!"

Draco raised his wand and pointed it at the corner above his head.

"Tergeo——"

This was a cleaning spell, and Amanta could see that Draco seemed unhappy with the hygiene conditions on the train.

After Harry repeated it more than ten times, a thin layer of sweat broke out on his forehead, but the gloves finally responded.

The gloves lay on the table, rolling lazily.

...It's better than doing nothing.

Amanta encouraged: "Not bad, try again."

"Oh, dear, I'm sorry to interrupt your study time. Do you need to buy some food?"

A smiling witch knocked on their compartment door, and Amanta realized that it was already noon.

She had been craving the snacks on the train for a long time, and she even skipped breakfast this morning.

"No, my parents brought me some cheese flambée." Draco frowned and refused, obviously not very interested.

However, Harry and Amanta had already opened the compartment door.

"What's there?"

Harry asked.

"How about some of both?"

Amanta suggested.

"..." Draco rubbed his forehead, feeling a little headache, "I want them all."

Harry and Amanta fell to their seats with a huge pile of food, including Chocolate Frogs, Beebe Every Flavour Beans, Pot Cakes, Liquorice Wands - and a lot of strange and weird foods, which were almost piled up into a small hill.

"Draco you really don't want to come?"

Amanta invited Draco as she took a bite of pumpkin pie.

She didn't ask out loud the confusion in her mind: Is there really anyone who is not interested in these things?

Draco looked at her stuffed cheeks.

...God knows how much of a temptation this was to him when he was eleven years old.

He calmed himself down and recited Malfoy's code of conduct in his mind.

"……No."

Harry opened a packet of Chocolate Frogs and a picture suddenly flew out.

Harry bent down in panic to pick it up, and the pile of snacks next to him fell towards him, almost burying him.

After Harry struggled to get his head out from the pile of snacks, he held up the picture that had just fallen and showed it to Amanta.

"Amanta! Who do you think this is?"

The picture showed an old man with long white hair and a beard, who was pouting at her unhappily.

It says "Merlin" at the bottom, and the back of the card introduces Merlin's life and major deeds.

But what caught Amanta's attention most was that he was wearing the same "Sage's Ring" on his arm as the one on her left wrist.

Amanta held up the picture and looked at it: "Can you give this to me?"

"Of course!"

Harry said happily.

bang bang bang-

There was a sudden noise outside the door.

Amanta turned around and saw a round-faced boy knocking dejectedly on their cubicle door.

"Excuse me, have you seen my toad?"

Amanda was almost certain that the round-faced boy who was looking for a toad on the train was named Neville Longbottom.

Perhaps distracted by Harry and Amanta's snacks, Draco said unhappily, "We don't have any toads here."

Neville's face paled and his eyes welled with tears.

"I'm sorry... I lost it again, my Toad..."

He walked away muttering sadly.

Harry shook his head, "Draco you are very mean, but I still cannot understand why anyone would keep a toad as a pet."

Amanta looked at the luggage rack above her head.

There were three large bird cages there. In the middle one was her owl. Bertha was already asleep, curled up in a little fluffy brown ball.

She then realized… well, all their pets were owls.

bang bang bang-

The compartment door was opened again.

"Did you see a toad? Neville lost a toad."

A crisp girl's voice sounded at the door, but her tone seemed a little too confident and arrogant.

Amanta looked over and saw a girl with fluffy curly brown hair standing at the door. Her front teeth were a little big. Neville, who had just come to find them, stood behind her.

She had to be Hermione Granger.

"No—how many times do I have to tell you that?"

Draco responded bluntly.

Hermione paid no attention to his words, her eyes fixed on Amanta's arm.

"Oh my god, is this the 'Sage's Ring'? The one that Merlin wore? I've seen it in books, and I thought it only existed in legends... God, when I was reading the books, I never thought that I would see it in reality one day."

Hermione covered her mouth in surprise, and Neville was also surprised when he looked over her shoulder.

"Are you a descendant of Merlin?" Hermione looked at Amanta curiously, then sat down on the empty seat next to her.

Amanta glanced at Harry and it seemed... they might not be able to keep a low profile before arriving at school.

"Yes, I'm Amanta Merlin, nice to meet you."

Amanta maintained a polite smile. After a month of practice, she had become much more proficient in controlling her facial expressions.
