Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 19: The Eye-Catching Sorting Ceremony

After Hermione, Professor McGonagall called out several names in succession. Among them, Neville was still sorted into Gryffindor, and after him was Draco.

Draco shook out his robes and stepped forward confidently.

The Sorting Hat had barely touched his hair when it yelled, "Slytherin!"

Draco glanced back at Amanta and Harry with satisfaction, then walked towards the Slytherin table.

It was obvious that many people at the Slytherin table knew Draco, and many of them greeted him familiarly.

A big guy patted the thin boy next to him and motioned Draco to come over. The boy quickly stood up and sat on the other side of the long table to make room for him.

There are not many people left, Nott, Moon, Parkinson...

"Harry Potter!"

When the Sorting Hat called out Harry's name, there was a murmur in the hall. Many students were discussing in low voices, and some students at the back of the long table leaned over to try to see more clearly.

"Harry Potter? See... I told you I was right."

"Is it really Harry Potter, the Harry Potter? The Boy-Who-Lived?"

Harry glanced back at Amanta nervously, and Amanta patted his shoulder, trying to calm him down.

"Don't be nervous, we can enjoy the delicious food from the opening banquet together later."

This sentence seemed to comfort Harry a little. He clenched his fists and walked over to put on the Sorting Hat. What followed seemed to be the longest sorting time in history.

Amanta saw Harry tightly close his eyes and hold the edge of the stool with both hands. After a long time, the Sorting Hat shouted:

"Slytherin!"

Harry seemed relieved, but this caused even greater commotion in the hall.

"Slytherin? Harry Potter went to Slytherin?"

"Slytherins are not good people!"

"Oh my god, I told you the prophecy was true, Harry Potter is a more powerful dark wizard than He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named..."

Many malicious eyes were cast on Harry, and the twins at the Gryffindor table were whistling at him.

Their voices were quite loud, and Harry obviously heard the gossip as well.

His face was livid, he glared back at a few of the nearest people, and then moved heavily towards the Slytherin.

Fortunately, the Slytherins broke out in the loudest applause yet - this put Harry at ease a lot.

Several senior students stood up from the long table and walked over to shake his hand and tentatively introduce themselves to him.

"Harry! Here."

Draco called him. There were two empty seats next to him. It was obvious that he had reserved seats for them during this time.

Harry sat down next to him, and it was obvious that sitting next to someone familiar made him feel much more at ease.

He grinned at Amanta, who made a reassuring gesture.

Now there were only four people left. Amanta looked at the three people next to her. One of them was the red-haired boy Amanta had seen before. His face full of freckles made Amanta almost certain that he was Ron Weasley.

Soon, Lisa Dupin was sorted into Ravenclaw, followed by Ron into Gryffindor, and another boy into Slytherin.

Amanta held her breath—she was alone here now.

Could it be that...she was the only one forgotten on the admission list?

As calm as she was, she couldn't help being nervous at this moment, with many random thoughts flashing through her mind.

"Amanta Merlin!"

Fortunately, less than a second later, Amanta heard her name.

"Merlin? Oh my god!"

"Which Merlin? The one on the Chocolate Frog card?"

The crowd in the auditorium erupted in the biggest commotion since the separation ceremony began. Many people were stunned and stood up one after another. Many people were pushing the tall senior students in front of them who were blocking their view, trying to break through the crowd and squeeze their heads out to take a look at her.

"Merlin? Oh my god! Merlin! This is more magical than Harry Potter being in the same house as us!"

"My grandmother said that the Merlin family has disappeared for hundreds of years. It is said that they were wiped out during the hunt for wizards in the Middle Ages..."

"Damn it, it must be the same name. If you ask me, it's also possible that they have the same surname."

"No! Look at that thing on her wrist! Merlin's sock! Am I seeing right? That's Merlin's Sage Ring!"

There were sighs of emotion in the auditorium, and many people stared at her with shocked and curious eyes.

After all, whether you come from a wizard family or a Muggle family, it is impossible not to have heard of the word "Merlin". That ancient ancestor is recorded in the history of both wizards and Muggles.

He is also the only wizard who is not feared and disgusted by all Muggles.

After all, they were walking on the land created by Merlin and King Arthur.

The red-haired twins on the Gryffindor bench stood up and shouted at Amanda:

"Miss Merlin, would you like to come to Gryffindor? Our Weasley boy, Ron, is willing to wash your socks every day!"

one of the twins shouted, giggling, and Ron, face red, leaned across the table shaking his fist.

"Oh, what a lovely young lady, please forgive our joke."

The other saluted Amanta with a cynical smile on his face.

Dumbledore stood up from the big golden chair in the guest of honor seat and touched his neck with his wand.

"Quiet! Quiet!"

He must have used an amplification spell, as his broad voice echoed loudly in the hall, drowning out all the conversations.

Perhaps out of respect for the principal, the students gradually quieted down, and many of them waited with bated breath to see which college this mysterious descendant of Merlin would be assigned to.

Amanta was no longer nervous at this time. She walked forward and put the Sorting Hat on her head.

The wide brim of the Sorting Hat immediately blocked her vision. Amanta's eyes were completely dark, and she heard the voice of the Sorting Hat ringing in her ears.

"Ms. Merlin! Oh, what a rare guest! Let me see, which college should I assign you to?"

The Sorting Hat seemed to be examining her little head page by page.

"Oh my God, you have so much knowledge in your head. Compared with other freshmen with empty heads, your brain seems to be more worthy of research... There is no doubt that you have many excellent qualities... You are ambitious, opinionated, knowledgeable, and courageous... Let me see what you usually think about?"

The Sorting Hat paused for a moment, not sure if it was observing or surprised.

"Your idea is really... too bold, too amazing. I have only seen the same ambition and demeanor in Salazar Slytherin himself. I wish you good luck."

"I think it's clear that you have more Ravenclaw and Slytherin in you, Miss Merlin, what do you think?"

Amanta said silently in her heart: "Slytherin."

"Without a doubt... I also think this is the best choice. Your ambition - can make Slytherin glorious!"

"Slytherin!"

shouted the Sorting Hat.
