Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 270 Breaking those inherent prejudices

Amanta looked at Hermione beside her with a thoughtful look in her eyes.

She was somewhat surprised by Hermione's determination and integrity.

But more importantly, her intelligence and independent thinking made her feel that Hermione might be worthy of being included in her plan.

She gently closed the book and looked at Hermione calmly: "Hermione, do you want to join the SO group?"

Hermione blinked, obviously not reacting: "SO team?"

Harry ate snacks on the side and added vaguely: "It's our study group. Amanta set it up. At first there were only three of us, and later Neville and Cedric joined."

Hermione's eyes widened slightly, with a hint of surprise in her tone: "Study group? But... I heard that your group is very secretive, and outsiders are not allowed to join."

Amanta smiled lightly and said calmly: "That's just a rumor. The essence of the SO group is actually just an ordinary study group, but with fewer members. It was originally formed by me, Draco and Harry. We just want to make our study in Slytherin more efficient."

She paused and continued, "Later, Neville and Cedric joined. As you know, Neville is very talented in Herbology, and Cedric is extremely good at Charms and Flying classes. We learned from each other and exchanged knowledge."

Hermione's eyes lit up, and she was obviously very interested in the idea. "That sounds great! Are you really just exchanging academic ideas? Not studying any dark magic, or making any conspiracy plans?"

Harry rolled his eyes, "Of course not! Do you think we are an alliance with the Dark Lord?"

Amanta smiled and said lightly: "It's just a simple academic discussion group."

Hermione pursed her lips, her eyes sparkling with excitement: "If that's the case... I'd love to join! I've always wanted to find a partner who can really delve into magic. Self-study alone is still somewhat limited."

Amanta smiled and nodded, "Then you're welcome, Hermione."

After the Charms class, Amanta packed up her books and her eyes fell on Hermione's back.

She narrowed her eyes slightly, and some thoughts arose in her heart.

Hermione Granger - Although she is from Ravenclaw, her way of thinking is not like those overly rational Ravenclaw students.

The scene where she just firmly defended herself made Amanta feel that perhaps Hermione could become a trustworthy friend in the future.

But at this moment, she has more important things to do.

-----------------

The air in the greenhouse was filled with the scent of moist earth. In the distance, one could hear Professor Sprout's lectures in the Herbology class, as well as the occasional conversations of students.

Amanta leaned against the stone wall outside the greenhouse, quietly waiting for the get out of class to end.

Soon, groups of students came out one after another. She scanned the crowd until she saw that familiar figure——

Kai Bellman.

He was wearing a Ravenclaw school robe that was obviously worn out and bleached, with frayed cuffs and a backpack strap that was about to break. He was short and thin, with a look of perennial alertness on his face, as if he was always ready to face the sneers and ridicules from others.

Next to him, a tall Hufflepuff boy was walking side by side with him, whispering something to him.

It's now.

Amanta stepped forward and called him directly: "Kai Bellman."

Berman paused and raised his head suddenly, his eyes showing instinctive vigilance.

His Hufflepuff friend also frowned and asked in a not very friendly tone: "What do you want with him?"

Amanta ignored the man's hostility, just looked at Berman calmly and said directly: "I want to talk to you."

Bellman narrowed his eyes, with obvious distrust on his face: "With me? Miss Merlin from Slytherin, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Amanta looked calm and said, "I saw the bullying incident in the library a few days ago."

Berman's expression changed slightly.

"You should understand," Amanta continued, her eyes calm, "I'm not just here to chat with you."

Berman subconsciously clenched his fists a little tighter, and a sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth: "So? You also think I'm pitiful? You want to give me some sympathy?"

Amanta did not respond to his provocation, but just stared at him quietly and said slowly: "I will help you."

Behrman was stunned.

The Hufflepuff boy next to him frowned and said warily, "Kai, be careful. I don't think Slytherins will help others for no reason."

Amanta smiled slightly, slowly took out a small bag from her pocket, opened it, and the gold galleons shone brightly in the sunlight.

Berman's breathing suddenly stopped.

His friend's pupils shrank slightly, and he couldn't help but curse in a low voice: "What on earth are you planning?"

"I've looked into it." Amanta's voice was calm, and her tone was as gentle as if she was stating a fact without any emotion. "Your mother is in St. Mungo's Hospital. She is in a serious condition and needs urgent treatment. But your family doesn't have enough money, and the hospital is considering sending her home."

Berman's pupils trembled slightly and his whole body froze.

Amanta gently shook the bag in her hand, and the gold galleons made a crisp clinking sound: "This money is enough for her to continue her treatment."

Bellman stared at the bag of gold Galleons and his breathing became faster.

His Hufflepuff friend grabbed his arm and whispered, "Don't touch that thing! She must want you to pay for something!"

"Yes, I have to pay the price." Berman murmured in a low voice, his eyes flickering and his voice slightly hoarse, "But if this is money to save my life, I have to take it no matter how high the price is."

He raised his head and looked at Amanta with complicated eyes, his tone was filled with restrained suspicion: "What do you want me to do? Kill someone? Help you make a shady deal? Or be your running dog?"

Amanta replied calmly: "Nothing."

Berman was startled, looking a little bewildered.

Amanta put away her smile and said calmly: "I give you money because you need it, not because I want you to do anything. I won't ask you for anything, you can even think of it as money you found."

Berman stared at her, his lips trembling slightly, his voice a little dry: "...What do you mean?"

"Literally." Amanta gently handed him the bag of gold galleons, her eyes slightly scrutinizing, "But if you must pay something, don't die in front of others."

Berman clenched his fists suddenly, lowered his head, and his chest rose and fell slightly, as if he was suppressing something.

The Hufflepuff boy next to him wanted to say something else, but Behrman had already slowly reached out his hand and took the bag of gold Galleons.

"……Thanks."

His voice was so soft that it almost sounded like it was blown away by the wind.

Amanta raised the corner of her mouth slightly, said nothing more, and turned away.

Behind her, Berman's hand was still tightly holding the bag of gold galleons, his fingertips were white and his eyes were slightly red.

His friend still looked at the bag of gold Galleons with a complicated expression and whispered, "Do you trust her so much?"

Berman smiled bitterly and said in a hoarse voice: "I don't believe her, but I have no choice."

He lowered his head, looked at his slightly trembling fingers, and a vague smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, muttering to himself:

"…No matter what her purpose is, at least she is the first person who is truly willing to help me."

-----------------

In the dark corner next to the greenhouse, a pair of deep black eyes were watching the scene.

Julius stood in the shadows, watching quietly as Amanta handed a bag of gold Galleons to Behrman, watching the Ravenclaw boy's hand tremble slightly as he held the bag, and watching his friend show a doubtful and complicated look.

Then, Amanta turned and left, her steps steady, her back like a determined warrior, as if all this was her own choice and her path.

Julius smiled.

The smile was faint, revealing a hint of undisguised sarcasm, and carried the patience and indifference of a controller.

"Amanta..." He murmured in a low voice, his voice so soft that it seemed like a whisper, "Do you really think that you can resist me? Do you really think that you can succeed if you don't choose to act according to my ideas?"

His eyes were deep and dark, with a kind of insight, as if he had already seen through her struggle and unwillingness.

"This is nothing but your powerless struggle."

He chuckled softly, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes.

She might be able to resist his words, resist his inducements.

But what she was doing… in the end, was still moving in his direction.

She chose to "help" a boy whose ancestry was discriminated against?

Did she choose to "break" those inherent prejudices?

She chooses to “provide strength to the downtrodden”?

——Isn’t this exactly what he wants to see?

She thought she had different ideas from him, but she was actually confirming his words in her own way.

"…Go on, Amanta."

Julius leaned lightly against the stone pillar, a meaningful arc on the corner of his mouth, his eyes sinisterly fixed on the receding figure.

"I'll wait and see how long you'll struggle."

He raised his hand gently, and his fingertips touched a small silver badge on his waist - that was the badge of Ravenclaw's house. His fingers slowly stroked the eagle-shaped badge, his eyes dark.

She thought she could still escape from his plan.

But she didn't know that she was already in the game.
