Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me
Chapter 30: The Giant Monster Beats the Fool Barnabas
Amanta rubbed Harry's hairy head.
"There is no black or white definition of spells. The nature of the spell is determined by the user's intention. In fact, many decent wizards have also used dark magic."
She gave a simple example.
"Suppose you were present when your parents were murdered... and you were already a full-fledged wizard by then."
"In the face of this situation, can you restrain yourself from using some very harmful spells, and only use some simple binding spells to tie him up and wait for the arrest of the Ministry of Magic Aurors?"
Amanta looked at Harry's eyes, which were red with anger, and sighed:
"You can't do it, and most people can't do it either. The people who can do it... are very few."
She didn't want Harry to be too righteous.
He is so righteous that he would feel miserable, guilty and self-blaming over the black and white of a spell.
Dumbledore is one of the few who can defeat his opponents using only white magic.
But it is undeniable that if he used a more lethal spell, the efficiency would be much faster.
This is also one of the reasons why Voldemort can dominate the wizarding world.
It is difficult to uphold absolute justice like Gryffindor does, and one may even tie one's own hands and feet in the pursuit of so-called justice.
So they are Slytherins.
Slytherin will do whatever it takes to protect the one he loves.
But she had some regrets.
"I think it's probably difficult for me to use the dark arts."
"I have read the rules for using black magic. Black magic requires the user to have extremely strong emotional power, such as hatred or the desire to destroy the other party - I have not experienced this emotion yet."
But this point - it doesn't seem so regrettable at the moment.
"From your description, I seem to be very suitable for using black magic..."
Harry said with a dark look on his face.
Although he understood Amanta's meaning in theory, he still couldn't accept it psychologically.
Amanta patted his shoulder.
"I'm just saying, don't limit yourself because of something that doesn't make sense."
"Which wizard is good or bad is not determined by the spells they cast, but by their actions."
Draco scooped a spoonful of soup and said in a bland tone:
"What you discussed was very interesting, but I still have to remind you that this is Professor Quirrell's class."
He looked at Harry.
"The pain in your scar at the last start-of-term feast may have something to do with Professor Quirrell."
Amanta raised an eyebrow: "Indeed, I am quite interested in what he hides under his scarf."
"How about we find a chance to secretly uncover it and see?" Harry suggested boldly.
Draco rolled his eyes at him.
"Do you want all the Slytherin points to be deducted?"
……
During the Charms class in the afternoon, the short Professor Flitwick stood on a thick pile of books. When he called out Harry and Amanda's names, he screamed excitedly, fell to the ground and disappeared - this caused a big commotion.
When the class was over, Pansy passed by her with a gloomy face.
"I hope you won't get too complacent."
She said this and walked away quickly, as if she didn't want to look at them any more.
Draco called her from behind: "Pansy, see you in the common room tonight. I have something to tell you."
Pansy stopped, turned around, grinned, raised her voice and said to them loudly: "Okay!"
She glanced at Amanta smugly, and Amanta shrugged indifferently.
The second period was the Herbology class. While teaching them to identify two-eared grass and sap-flowing grass, Sprout praised them casually:
"A boy this morning, I think he was from the Longbottom family, could tell the difference between scurvy and lovage at a glance in the first class."
Amanta winked at Draco.
Draco pouted.
"Well, you're always right."
Amanta is not very good at herbology. In her opinion, these grasses... don't seem to look much different.
Compared with the typical examples in textbooks, they have almost no similarity.
Especially the smaller sleepy beans, which look almost exactly like parasite berries.
For the first time, she felt frustrated in her studies.
"I really don't understand why we need to learn herbal medicine. Would we hike out into the wild and grab a handful of grass to determine if it has some special function?"
Amanta, who never fights among herself but chooses to attack others, can't help but begin to doubt the practicality of these courses.
"I think so too - you can buy dozens of these at the drugstore in Diagon Alley for just a few Galleons."
Draco echoed as he was swinging a disobedient jumping bulb left and right.
The jumping bulb seemed to be trying to break free from his hand. It struggled and jumped violently in all directions, almost hitting several people around it.
Only Pansy giggled and brushed off the dirt that splashed on her body.
"Draco, you are still so naughty."
Harry looked intently at a shrunken fig tree that had lost all its leaves. It was now spitting out purple fruits from the center of its flower.
"Actually, these plants are... quite interesting, aren't they?"
At this time, Bryce behind him was frightened by a few jumping toadstools and was chased all over the greenhouse.
Amanta shrugged.
"It's really interesting."
……
After dinner in the auditorium, today's activities came to an end.
Amanta suggested to Draco and Harry: "I know a place that would be perfect for the SO group. Would you like to go with me to look for it?"
The morning's affairs had been delayed by Peeves and Filch, and she was still thinking about this matter.
After all, only by finding a venue as soon as possible can they carry out their SO group extracurricular activities.
Harry and Draco were fine with it.
"Where are we going to look?" Draco asked.
"Go to the eighth floor and find a tapestry of a giant monster beating up a fool with a club."
"what?"
Draco and Harry asked in unison.
"The trolls beat up Silly Barnabas," Amanta replied. She began to doubt their intelligence. "It tells the story of a wizard named Silly Barnabas who tried to teach the trolls to dance ballet, but was beaten up by the trolls."
Harry couldn't help laughing: "Hahahahahaha...he is really imaginative, teaching the troll to dance, and ballet at that! I can't believe what that scene was."
Draco mused.
"I seem to have heard this story before, but what does it have to do with the place we are looking for?"
"Opposite that tapestry is the Room of Requirement. I read about it in Hogwarts: A History. It can be transformed into whatever the user wants, depending on their intentions."
Amanta felt a little guilty when she introduced it.
After all, she didn't know whether there was really such a record in "Hogwarts, A History of the School".
Fortunately, these two people were used to Amanta's reading so many books that they did not doubt her words at all.
"It sounds amazing, let's go find it." Harry said impatiently.
Draco felt the same way.
"Hopefully we won't run into Peeves again."
