Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me
Chapter 304: Gathering at Diagon Alley Café
Harry sneaked out of the Dursleys' back door, kept his head down and walked through the narrow street. When he was sure that no one was following him, he quickly ran to the nearby park.
He immediately saw Amanta waiting on the bench. She was wearing a simple light beige dress and an off-white hat. She was holding a book and reading it. She had a calm expression and seemed out of place in the noisy Muggle world around her.
"It's finally out."
Harry panted and sat down next to her, complaining unkindly.
"Uncle Vernon almost forced me to scrub their entire garage. God knows, is his crappy car worth scrubbing so many times?"
Amanta closed the book, looked up at him, and raised her eyes slightly: "So, you slipped out directly when they weren't paying attention?"
"Uh... that's not the point." Harry quickly changed the subject, "By the way, where's Draco? Aren't we going to Diagon Alley today?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the air around him seemed to be stirred by some magical power and instantly twisted.
A slight "bang" sound was heard.
The next second, a short figure with gray-green skin and eyes as bright as light bulbs appeared in front of them.
"Dobby!" Harry exclaimed.
"Yes, Dobby is here!" Dobby nodded excitedly, "Master Draco asked me to pick you up. He has been waiting for a long time!"
Amanta stood up, glanced around, and after making sure that no Muggles noticed them, she nodded and said, "Okay, let's go."
Dobby nodded repeatedly, then took their hands and Apparated with them skillfully.
Almost in an instant, their feet touched the ground.
The surroundings had changed from a stuffy little park to a familiar bustling street.
Diagon Alley was still bustling with shops, and wizards were bustling about, holding or carrying various desserts, potions, and even parchment and broomsticks.
Draco stood at the door of an exquisite cafe, wearing a fitted dark robe, his blond hair shining, his arms crossed, and an impatient look on his face.
"You're finally here." He glanced at Harry and snorted, "Can you not be so embarrassed, Harry? Standing next to you, I feel like my taste has declined."
"Sorry, I don't have as much time as you to dress up." Harry rolled his eyes and straightened his wrinkled T-shirt.
Amanta chuckled, walked in front of them, and opened the door of the cafe first: "Let's talk inside."
They chose seats by the window and sat down. The cafe was filled with a faint aroma of cocoa. There were exquisite little sugar bowls and cream pots on the table. The waiter waved his magic wand lightly, and the menu automatically floated over and landed in front of them.
"What would you like to drink?" Amanta casually flipped through the menu.
"I want a mocha and a chocolate cake," Draco said without hesitation.
Harry flipped through the glasses casually: "Uh... I'll have an Americano. I need to sober myself up."
Amanta's mouth twitched, "Are you sure? Last time you drank hot Americano, your face wrinkled into a wrinkled Harry biscuit."
Draco scoffed. "He thought he was going to have a hot Americano, but he added five spoonfuls of sugar."
Harry glared at them and decisively switched to caramel latte.
Amanta helped herself to a cup of Earl Grey tea, with a slice of lemon tart.
After placing the order, the three of them looked at each other, and after seeing each other's eyes, the atmosphere gradually became serious.
"We need to talk." Amanta spoke first, "Voldemort will take action sooner or later, and we must be prepared in advance."
"Are you talking about the Death Eaters?" Draco raised his eyebrows, picked up the coffee cup and took a sip, trying his best to look calm and composed.
Harry frowned: "Draco, is there anything you haven't told us?"
Draco put down the cup, stroking the rim with his index finger. He was silent for a moment before speaking: "...There is no new movement for the time being, but the Death Eaters will not disappear forever. They will come again."
Amanta sighed softly: "By the way, I checked some books, and there is no simple way to remove the Dark Mark, unless..." She paused, "unless the caster removes it himself, or... dies."
The atmosphere suddenly became heavy.
Harry clenched his fists subconsciously: "No, we must continue to find a solution. We can't let you continue to suffer."
Draco looked at them, his lips curled up in a mocking smile: "Why, Harry, are you going to kill the Dark Lord for me?"
"Of course! Don't you think I can't?!"
Harry glared and his voice suddenly became louder, causing several customers in the store to look in his direction.
Amanta immediately made a gesture to him to keep quiet.
"Hush, Harry, don't forget where we are."
Harry silently loosened his fist, and Draco sighed helplessly: "Harry, calm down."
Amanta noticed from the corner of her eye that several wizards had unconsciously glanced over here, and she immediately signaled them with her eyes.
Fortunately, Harry quickly regained his composure.
Seeing her gesture, he hurriedly began to complain: "Yes, let's not talk about this anymore. I have to complain - you can't imagine what kind of hell life I'm living in the Dursleys' house."
Draco raised his head slowly: "Oh? Did your uncle make you a slave again?"
"Slaves are treated better than me." Harry picked up a piece of cake indignantly, "They force me to clean the garage, clean the windows, cook, mop the floor, wash the dishes, wash stinky socks..."
"Dudley tries to play a trick on me every day, but never succeeds. I bet his IQ is even lower than that of a slug."
Amanta couldn't help laughing: "You can add some bitter melon powder to their rice, which is said to make your taste buds go awry for an hour."
Draco sneered: "Just put a micro sticking spell in his shoes so he can't get rid of it all day."
Harry: "..."
After a while, he spoke tremblingly: "How come you two guys are worse than me?"
"By the way," Draco suddenly spoke, looking a little more relaxed, "Do you know? My father is planning to watch the Quidditch World Cup next month. He might take me with him."
"Quidditch World Cup?" Harry's eyes lit up instantly. "Oh my God, I dream of going to see it!"
Amanta also showed some interest: "I heard that the competition this year is particularly fierce, and many people have already started betting in advance."
"I'll go back and ask if I can take you with me." Draco shrugged, a hint of teasing on his face, "Although you may have to improve your clothing style to avoid embarrassing me."
Harry was so excited that he ignored Draco's sharp words: "Please, please! I must go!"
Amanta smiled faintly: "If you can go, it is indeed a good plan."
Draco felt a lot better when he saw how excited they were.
