Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me
Chapter 323 Durmstrang is Your Home
Just as Amanta was about to take a break, she heard a quarrel outside.
She frowned, put on her robe, walked to the door and gently pushed it open.
The lights in the corridor outside were dim. Draco and Julius were standing face to face, their swords drawn. The atmosphere was so tense that they seemed as if they were about to pull out their wands for a duel at any moment.
Harry stood aside, rubbing his eyes and muttering, "Come on, it's the middle of the night, can you two stop making trouble?"
Amanta glanced at the scene and walked over: "What's going on?"
Draco crossed his arms, his face livid, and snorted, "I knew there was something wrong with him! Why did he sneak out in the middle of the night instead of sleeping? What on earth do he want to do?"
Julius leaned against the wall, looking lazy, with a smile on his face: "I just came out to get a book. Besides, don't forget... This is my tent, what's your business?"
Draco gritted his teeth and sneered, "I don't believe this is a coincidence. When the Death Eaters were wreaking havoc outside, your tent was completely unharmed. Did you know what would happen tonight?"
Harry yawned loudly and lazily tried to smooth things over: "Forget it, Draco, maybe it's just a coincidence? At least, we can still sleep well now, right?"
Amanta narrowed her eyes and looked between the two of them for a moment. In the end, she did not make any comments, but looked at Julius calmly: "Since it's just to take the book, did you get it?"
Julius smiled slightly and waved a light brown book in his hand: "Of course."
Draco stared at the book, obviously not believing what Julius said.
At this moment, a faint voice came from the room——
"Draco..."
Everyone's expression changed and they all looked into the room.
Draco turned suddenly and rushed into the room in two steps, followed by Amanta and Harry.
Narcissa's eyelashes fluttered as she slowly opened her eyes. Her pale face looked weak, and her voice was filled with fatigue from not fully waking up: "Where is this...?"
"Mother!" Draco rushed over and hugged her tightly, his voice unable to hide his excitement and worry, "You finally woke up! You were unconscious all night, I thought--"
Narcissa patted his back gently and said soothingly, "Silly boy, I'm fine."
She raised her eyes slightly and saw several people in the room with a puzzled look on her face, "Where... are we?"
Amanta took a deep breath and said softly, "This is Julius' tent. Our tent was burned down last night. He took us in."
Narcissa's eyes fell on Julius, who still had that gentle smile on his face and nodded slightly at her: "Madam, you are finally awake, how do you feel?"
Narcissa looked at him, her eyes darkened slightly, and after a moment, she whispered, "No matter what, I still want to thank you... for taking us in."
Julius smiled and said calmly, "Madam, you are welcome. I just did a small thing."
There was silence in the room for a few seconds, and the atmosphere inexplicably calmed down.
Harry broke the silence, scratched his head and said, "Since Madam Narcissa is awake, can we go back to our rooms and sleep? I'm really tired..."
Draco let go of Narcissa, pursed his lips, and finally nodded, whispering: "Well, go to bed early."
Amanta glanced at Narcissa, and after confirming that she was stable, she sighed softly, "That's it for tonight. We can talk about it tomorrow if there's anything else."
Draco was silent for a moment, but finally nodded reluctantly to Julius as a token of thanks.
Everyone left the room one after another and returned to their own rooms.
When the door closed, Amanta looked back at Julius. His figure was reflected in the dim light, his expression was obscure, and the corner of his lips still had that half-smile, as if everything was under his control.
……
Amanta slowly opened her eyes, but was not yet fully conscious.
I moved my fingers and realized that my body was extremely heavy.
She had consumed too much magic power last night, causing her to feel indescribably tired.
She sat up slowly, feeling the blood gradually flowing back to her limbs, then she pushed aside the quilt and slowly got out of bed.
She glanced at Narcissa next to her.
Narcissa was still sleeping, her face was pale, but her breathing was even and she seemed much more stable.
Amanta breathed a sigh of relief, tiptoed to the bathroom, quickly washed and changed her clothes, pushed open the door, and prepared to go downstairs.
However, just as she reached the stairs, she suddenly stopped.
Strange voices were heard coming from the living room downstairs.
She subconsciously held her breath, stood behind the stair railing, hid in the shadows, tilted her ears, and listened attentively to the conversation downstairs.
"...coming to the UK for treatment was the right decision." A middle-aged man's voice sounded, with a rather emotional tone, "We originally thought you wouldn't live past the age of fourteen, and so many doctors in Northern Europe were helpless... Now seeing you like this, it's really God's mercy."
Amanta's heart was shocked and her eyes narrowed.
Julius's illness?
Was he ever that ill?
Julius' voice sounded immediately: "Yes, I am lucky to be alive. The environment of Hogwarts is very suitable for me. At least... it is much better than Durmstrang."
Another slightly sharp middle-aged female voice said with some doubt: "Durmstrang is our home. You are an outsider in Britain after all. The courses at Hogwarts tend to be safe and neutral, and you... don't you think you can't learn more powerful magic there?"
Amanta narrowed her eyes.
She was not familiar with Durmstrang.
But she had heard that the school was famous for its advocacy of dark magic and dueling skills.
For many ancient families, that school was more "pure" than Hogwarts. Even before Draco enrolled, he had always longed for and praised Durmstrang.
Julius chuckled and said calmly, "Father, Mother, don't you know best?"
"Bullying and class system among students at Durmstrang are more serious than anywhere else. There, bloodline and strength are the criteria for measuring everything. If you are not strong enough, you will become the kind of person who is stepped on."
He paused and continued slowly, "I don't like that kind of place. Besides... I made a lot of friends in Hogwarts, such as Amanta and the others I took in yesterday."
"Friend?" His mother raised her voice, seeming to be quite interested in the word.
Julius said with a hint of disapproval: "Didn't you always think I was too withdrawn? Now I am fine. Not only has my condition improved, but my personality has also become much more cheerful."
"The atmosphere of Hogwarts is much more suitable for me than Durmstrang."
There was a brief silence in the living room.
Then, his father sighed and seemed to compromise: "...Since you have made up your mind, we respect your choice."
His mother said in a rather helpless tone: "That's it, we have to leave immediately and return to Northern Europe. You stay in England for a few days and wait until Hogwarts starts before going to school."
"Yeah." Julius responded calmly.
His father added, "We were in a hurry and left in a hurry. We haven't even greeted your friends formally yet. This is really rude."
Julius said calmly, "It's okay. They should be waking up soon. I'll talk to them later."
His mother didn't say anything else, and only added one sentence at the end.
"You should be careful in England and don't get into trouble."
"Of course." Julius smiled.
