Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 324 Let’s Have a Formal Chat

Amanta stood in the shadows at the top of the stairs, digesting everything she had just heard.

She suddenly remembered something strange.

Julius had changed.

From the initial indifference, alienation, gloom and loneliness, to now... at least on the surface, he is polite, gentle and calm.

That kind of change was not just ordinary growth or a simple change in personality, and it was even less likely to be a "cure". It was more like...

A person, under the influence of some uncontrollable external force, adjusts himself to adapt to the way of survival in the environment?

This is not normal.

What's more, his illness.

It was a disease that even the therapists in Northern Europe were helpless to treat, but after he came to the UK, he was completely cured?

She frowned slightly, and just as she was about to continue analyzing, a voice came from downstairs -

"Don't hide, Amanta."

Julius spoke slowly and calmly, as if he had known that she was standing there eavesdropping.

Amanta clenched her palms imperceptibly, but finally walked out slowly and walked down the stairs until she was face to face with Julius.

"Did you hear everything?"

Julius leaned on the sofa, his tone flat, his slender fingers turning a cup of undrinkable tea, the amber liquid swaying on the wall of the cup, the light and shadow reflected on his cold white fingertips, looking particularly strange.

Amanta nodded.

"What disease did you have?"

She didn't beat around the bush, staring into Julius' eyes, trying to peel back his false shell.

Julius was silent for a moment, tilting his head slightly, with a faint smile on the corner of his mouth.

"Yes, it's just as you heard," he said casually, his voice light, "I have suffered from an incurable congenital disease since I was a child. Doctors said I would not live past the age of fourteen, but it turns out that they were wrong."

He raised his eyes to look at her, his dark pupils were bottomless.

But Amanta was not satisfied with this answer.

"So, how did you recover? What disease did you have?" She stared at Julius. "All the doctors were at a loss, but how come you recovered completely after arriving in England?"

"It's not important." Julius smiled, picked up the teacup elegantly, and took a sip, seemingly not caring about the topic at all. "What's important is that I'm still alive and well, right?"

Amanta narrowed her eyes, vaguely realizing that he didn't want to discuss this issue in depth.

He is avoiding.

She didn't like this feeling, but she also knew that if he didn't want to talk, she wouldn't get an answer even if she pressed him.

So she changed direction.

"So what was the real reason you asked us to come here yesterday?" she asked directly, "What did you want to talk to us about?"

Julius chuckled, put down the teacup, folded his slender fingers, supported his chin, and looked at her with a half-smile.

"You've been running away, Amanta."

His voice was very soft, but it was like a knife that could cut through people's hearts accurately, directly dissecting a corner of her heart.

Amanta frowned and looked at him coldly: “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Julius's eyes lingered on her face, as if he was admiring some interesting scenery.

"You know," he said slowly, as if patiently guiding a misguided child, "you are resisting your true potential and clinging to what you think is justice and friendship."

"But you know what? This world is never black and white."

"I'm not resisting anything." Amanta's eyes were as calm as water, but there was a hint of impatience.

Julius smiled faintly, as if her denial was not worth mentioning at all.

"Then let's talk about the Gaunt coat of arms, the crown, and the blue eye." He whispered, tapping his fingertips on the table. "Do you really think that you three alone can control these ancient powers?"

Amanta's heart sank.

She subconsciously stood up straighter, and her tone became a little colder: "What do you want to say?"

Julius stood up, walked in front of her, and looked down at her condescendingly.

His gaze was not aggressive, but full of deep inquiry, as if he wanted to dismantle and analyze her soul.

She was vaguely aware that he was testing the boundaries of her consciousness.

Using an extremely covert and almost imperceptible mental invasion method, she quickly emptied her mind into a blank space that was disguised.

"Amanta, the wizarding world needs change. Don't you want to truly become a leader of this era?"

Julius slowly withdrew his gaze and fell on the silver hair button behind her head, his eyes darkened.

"Stop being tied to those who are dragging you down, and cooperate with me."

Amanta lowered her eyes in thought.

Soon, she suddenly raised her eyes: "I am interested in... How much do you know about the Gaunt coat of arms, the crown, and the blue eye?"

Upon hearing this, Julius raised the corners of his lips slightly, with a smile that was neither deep nor shallow, and a little nonchalant.

He gently shook the teacup in his hand, and the amber liquid slowly swirled, reflecting in his pure black pupils.

"You want to know?"

Amanta nodded calmly.

Julius smiled, as if he had seen a fearless hunting falcon.

"That won't work. If you want to get information from me, you have to show some sincerity."

Amanta didn't respond directly: "If you don't tell me, I will find the answer myself."

Julius raised an eyebrow, seemingly not surprised by her confidence, but rather amused.

He shrugged, with a smile on his lips, and said lightly: "Then I wish you good luck, Amanta. When you can't find it, come to me again."

His eyes were deep, and there was an indescribable certainty in them, as if everything was under control.

Amanta stared at him, pondering the implications of his words.

Julius definitely knew more than he let on or let on.

But he didn't intend to reveal it easily.

He wanted to guide her, test her, and let her approach him actively, rather than giving her the answer directly.

Waiting for her, walking step by step towards the chess game he had set up.

Amanta pursed her lips. She had to admit that Julius was indeed more difficult to deal with than she had imagined.

Just as the confrontation between the two was at a stalemate, hurried footsteps were heard from upstairs.

Then, a platinum-haired boy rushed down the stairs.

He had a stern look on his face, his eyes fell sharply on Julius, and without saying a word he stood in front of Amanta.

"What are you talking about?" Draco asked, his face full of vigilance and displeasure, and he was obviously wary of Julius.

Julius glanced between Draco and Amanta, his smile subtle, mixed with a hint of mockery.

"Don't be so nervous, Malfoy, I'm just having a casual chat with Amanta."

"Just chatting?" Draco snorted, squinting at him, totally unconvinced by what he said, "You never talk 'just chatting', Hoffman."

He deliberately emphasized the word "just chat", obviously wanting to remind Amanta not to easily believe Julius's friendliness.

Amanta glanced at Draco, then at Julius, and found that the latter was not angered by Draco's provocation. Instead, he had a nonchalant smile on his face, as if Draco's hostility was just a child's unreasonable behavior to him.

At this time, Harry from upstairs also came down in a daze.

He rubbed his hair sleepily and looked at them in confusion, "What's going on? You guys were arguing so early in the morning?"

He spoke lazily, obviously not fully awake yet, but when he saw Julius, he immediately frowned and became alert with a bad look.

Julius looked at the two people in front of him, Draco who did not hide his hostility on one side, and Harry who was obviously on guard on the other.

He sighed softly and shook his head as if helpless.

"You two are always on guard against me like this," he sighed, with a hint of deliberate grievance in his tone, "Am I that scary?"

Draco sneered: "You know it in your heart."

Harry blinked and finally woke up completely. He leaned lazily on the stair railing and looked at Julius: "So, what do you want to do?"

Julius smiled slightly, as if he had expected their reaction. He shrugged and spoke slowly.

"Since you're all here, why don't we have a formal chat?"

"What are you talking about?" Draco stared at him warily, as defensive as a cat with its fur standing on end.

Julius looked at Amanta, his tone lingering and full of meaning.

"Let's talk about the future of the wizarding world and what you really want."
