Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me
Chapter 327 Finding Clues That Peter Was Alive
The scene gradually turned into a pillow battle.
Amanta rubbed her temples, the veins on her head throbbing because of their noise.
The film ends with the Thestral carriage falling to the ground.
The Thestral carriage stopped in front of the gate of Malfoy Manor, and the black metal gate creaked and opened automatically.
Lucius was the first to help Narcissa out of the car, and Draco followed closely behind. He glanced at Julius behind him with a complicated expression, obviously wary of this uninvited guest.
Julius, on the other hand, looked calm and composed. He followed slowly, looking at the magnificent manor with a forced smile: "It is indeed the style of the Malfoy family."
Draco glared at him and ignored him.
Several people followed Lucius into the manor, and the house-elves immediately came to greet them, packed their luggage and delivered them to the designated rooms.
Julius' room was arranged in a wing of the manor, a little away from Draco's room, while Amanta and Harry still lived in the guest room next to Draco.
After a day of rest, Amanta, Draco and Harry finally found the right time.
After dinner, Lucius and Narcissa were meeting guests while Julius went back to his room alone.
The three of them slipped into Draco's room silently.
Amanta sat on the sofa and waved her hand to set up a few anti-eavesdropping spells: "Okay, now no one can eavesdrop."
"Draco, how is your investigation going these days?" Harry asked impatiently.
Draco sat down, crossed his arms, frowned and said, "I have investigated some things during this period. Well, the case of Black betraying the Potters to Voldemort has been completely closed within the Ministry of Magic."
"Even though there were no eyewitnesses or direct evidence, the enforcement team arrested him simply because he laughed uncontrollably on a bombed-out Muggle street."
Hearing these words, Harry couldn't help but clench his fists and his eyelids twitched.
"I asked, and that's because... he was chasing Peter! And Peter cheated and ran away!"
Draco continued, "That year, it was the day after the death of Mr. and Mrs. Potter. The Magical Law Enforcement Team arrested Black on the spot and ordered him to be sent to Azkaban without any trial - oh, guess who gave the order?"
He paused, his eyes sweeping across their faces.
"Barty Crouch."
Harry's expression changed instantly.
"Barty Crouch? The name sounds familiar. By the way, for that Christmas dinner, are we..."
He opened his mouth, a little dazed.
"We personally took his son back to Azkaban." Amanta spoke up, finishing his unspoken words. "By the way, didn't Crouch fall from power for harboring a criminal?"
Draco shook his head, pressing the knuckles of his index and middle fingers to his temple in pain.
"No. Little Batty didn't even betray Old Batty. He has been acting crazy since he was arrested, and Old Batty took advantage of the situation and said he knew nothing about it, and put the blame on his dead wife."
"People in the Ministry of Magic believed such a poor excuse?" Amanta raised her eyebrows.
Draco said, "No, but the majority of people still support old Barty. Most importantly, there is no evidence to prove old Barty's crime, so of course he cannot be convicted. So after the Ministry of Magic investigated, he was reinstated."
"Actually... it's not that there is no evidence," Amanta said thoughtfully, "Maybe others don't know - but we happen to know one."
Draco shrugged.
"To make Winky betray her former master? I think that's harder than climbing to the sky."
Harry bit his lower lip. "No evidence? That wasn't the case when they convicted Sirius!"
"Harry, calm down. Now is not the time to be protesting for Black."
Amanta put her hands on his shoulders and patted his back.
"It has already happened. The most important thing now is to clear Black's name. You don't want your godfather to be considered a traitor who defected to Voldemort, do you?"
Harry choked and gradually calmed down.
Draco glanced at them and continued, "A while ago, I asked my father indirectly. From what he said, some people in the Ministry of Magic suspected that something was wrong with what happened back then, but they had no evidence and did not dare to question it."
"Nonsense, of course they don't dare." Harry took a pillow and hugged it in his arms, and couldn't help but say irritably.
Amanta lowered her eyes, calmly hiding her contempt behind her thick eyelashes.
"Yes. If they really find out that they made a mistake, it will not only be a legal issue and involve a large number of people. More importantly, the credibility of the entire Ministry of Magic in the British wizarding world will be completely shaken."
She rubbed her brows and said, "So, this case also requires a single eyewitness to prove everything, and the only eyewitness present is Peter Petillo."
"Everyone thinks Peter Pettigrew has been dead for a long time." Draco reminded, "We also have no evidence that Peter is still alive. Unless he appears in broad daylight in front of everyone, the people in the Ministry of Magic will never admit it."
Harry clenched his fists tightly and gritted his teeth, "But we know Peter is still alive! He also kidnapped Amanta!"
"It's a pity that this matter has not been made public." Amanta shrugged.
Harry's eyes were burning with anger: "This is not fair! He should stay in Azkaban! Sirius endured so many years of torture in Azkaban for nothing!"
"Calm down, Harry." Amanta sighed, "Do you have a better idea? If the Ministry of Magic admits that they have arrested the wrong person, their credibility will completely collapse. Without hard evidence, they will never overturn their own decision."
Draco also said: "Yes, we need evidence, otherwise who will believe it? Even if my father may have doubts, he will never help overturn the decision of the Ministry of Magic, because it will not benefit the Malfoy family in any way."
There was silence in the room for a while.
Harry clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles turning bluish-white, but he was powerless to refute.
Amanta thought for a moment: "Maybe...we can try to find Peter."
Harry looked up suddenly, hope glittering in his eyes: "You mean, catch him directly?!"
"The only way is to find clues that he is alive and let the right people see it with their own eyes, so that the Ministry of Magic can no longer pretend to be deaf and dumb."
Amanta said calmly that she knew it was not easy.
But even if they didn't take action, Peter would soon appear again.
This year's Goblet of Fire... Voldemort's resurrection ceremony, Peter will appear again. She shifted her gaze and stayed on Harry's innocent and indignant face for a while.
Gotta find a way.
Otherwise at least... in the final, Cedric will die.
The room fell silent.
"Speaking of which." Amanta took out the broken piece of map from the Sage's Ring and spread it on the table.
"I recently studied this fragment carefully. The topography and patterns on it are highly consistent with the tribes recorded in some books. I suspect... this may be a map that records the strongholds of various mysterious non-human tribes."
Draco touched his chest subconsciously: "You mean, this map can guide us to find them?"
Amanta nodded slightly: "At least, it can provide clues about these tribes. This map... may be an important guide from my mother. Maybe we will need their help in the future, but Voldemort also covets these forces."
Harry's eyes lit up. "Then let's study it quickly! And Draco, your Gaunt coat of arms!"
Draco poured cold water on him: "The problem is that this map is incomplete. We can't interpret much with just this little information."
Amanta sighed slightly, her expression calm: "So, we need more information... Maybe we can go to the Malfoy family's library to see if there is any record of this kind of map."
Draco nodded: "Okay, I'll find a chance to take you in tomorrow."
"Speaking of these tribes and stuff... and the crown." Harry suddenly remembered something and frowned, "When I go back to school these few days, I'm afraid those mermaids will... Have you found a way? How to safely remove the Azure Eye?"
Draco shook his head. "Not at the moment. I've looked up a lot of ancient books, but this kind of inlaid magic gems usually have very strong binding magic. Forcible removal may destroy the entire crown, or even cause irreversible consequences."
Amanta said: "According to the information I have learned, it is not impossible. If we can find the original magic used to make the crown, we can find a way to safely remove the binding."
Harry scratched his hair in annoyance.
"It's easy to say, but this thing is too old, where is the record?"
