Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 8: First meeting with Draco

"Did I hear you correctly? Your last name is Merlin? Are you from the Merlin family? My father said... the Merlin family disappeared a long time ago. I thought they only existed in legends... Oh, why are you here alone? Where are your parents?"

Obviously, Amanta's identity aroused his interest, which was exactly what Amanta wanted.

"I'm an orphan. Professor McGonagall came with me."

"Feel sorry……"

"It's the only thing they left me."

Amanta raised her arm and showed Draco the emerald vine bracelet lying quietly on her wrist.

"What is this? Wait, I seem to have seen this in a book, "Forgotten Ancient Magic and Spells"? Or something else, never mind, this is... the Sage's Ring that Merlin is said to have possessed?"

Amanta nodded.

Draco's suspicions were confirmed, and his light grey eyes widened.

"Merlin's beard... Oh my god, I have to tell my dad about this. He will never believe what I saw. It's more incredible than a slug dancing in front of me."

"Tell me what? My dear Draco."

A lazy voice sounded behind the two of them. Lucius Malfoy stood silently behind them, and his cold eyes swept over them.

When he glanced at Amanta's left wrist, which had not been lowered yet, his cold gray pupils suddenly contracted.

"…'Sage's Ring'?"

Lucius's eyes revealed a hint of obsession from disbelief, but he quickly restrained himself.

The look he gave Amanta turned into one of distant politeness and a hint of tentativeness.

"Lucius Malfoy, I am deeply sorry for Draco's disrespectful behavior."

Lucius reached out and gave Amanta a quick handshake before turning to Draco, his tone stern.

"Draco, I think you know the consequences of losing your composure in front of this lady."

Draco no longer had the arrogance he had just now. He lowered his head and looked at the ground. He was so obedient that he seemed like two different people.

"Yes, father, when you get home... copy the Malfoy house rules twenty times."

Draco uttered the second half of the sentence reluctantly.

"Miss, what is your name?" Lucius withdrew his gaze with satisfaction and looked at Amanta.

Amanta had just been busy watching the show, and now she realized what was happening and quickly introduced herself: "Amanta Merlin, you actually misunderstood, I get along very well with Draco."

Hearing the word "Merlin", Lucius nodded meaningfully and put on his best fake smile.

"The Merlin family...what a mysterious, long-lost family. Miss Merlin, are you also a first-year student at Hogwarts, like Draco?"

"Yes, I think Draco and I will be able to meet again at Hogwarts soon."

Hearing this, a faint blush appeared on Draco's pale face, and Amanta noticed that the tips of his ears were red again.

"Yes, I heard that Harry Potter is one of the new students this year. You two must be the celebrities of Hogwarts this year." Lucius changed the subject and said, "It is an honor for Draco to meet Miss Merlin. To express my apology, can my Draco go shopping with you? The bill will be paid by Malfoy Manor."

Anyone with a discerning eye could see that Lucius was taking the opportunity to get Draco and Amanta to befriend each other so that he could take advantage of the Merlin family's halo and win over more connections.

But this was exactly what Amanta wanted. Her original plan was to find Draco or Harry today and find a way to follow them.

What's more, the generous Malfoy family also waived a large amount of expenses for her to buy school supplies.

She responded with a polite smile, "Thank you for your kindness. I am glad to be able to shop with Draco."

"Draco, remember that you are the heir of the Malfoy family. Don't bring shame to the Malfoy family."

After Lucius warned Draco, he picked up the snake-head cane beside him and left in a hurry, as if there was something important waiting for him to do.

"call……"

Draco breathed a sigh of relief, but also felt a little disappointed.

"My father is always so busy. It's not easy for us to get together, but he can't spend more time with me..."

Amanta patted his shoulder with a little sympathy.

"Now that I'm with you, shall we go?"

"okay."

Draco shuddered all over and subconsciously took a few steps. Then he remembered something and looked back at the Nimbus 2000 in the window reluctantly.

Amanta twitched her lips and reminded him, "Where are we going now?"

"What did you buy?"

Draco looked at Amanta and saw that she had nothing in her hands. He said in a suspicious tone, "You haven't bought anything yet?"

"Yeah, that's about it. I only bought the wand."

Amanta admitted it openly.

"Okay." Draco said reluctantly, "Give me your admission letter and let me know what to buy."

"Didn't you bring it?"

Amanta was a little surprised.

"Of course. How could the noble Master Malfoy buy these things himself? Dobby will buy them for me. Oh... but I think I have to buy a wand myself and have a tailor-made school uniform." Draco said slowly.

Amanta naturally knew that Dobby, whom Draco mentioned, was one of the house-elves at Malfoy Manor.

House-elves are a special race who do all the household chores and chores at the behest of their masters, the old, wealthy wizarding families.

They fear being freed and consider it the greatest shame to be driven out of the families they serve and receive payment.

But Dobby is an exception.

Dobby is a house-elf who loves freedom very much and is eager to work for reward. In the original plot, at the end of Harry's second year at Hogwarts, Lucius accidentally gave Dobby a sock, thus freeing Dobby.

But this is all for later.

Amanta is still unsure of what kind of butterfly effect her actions will have in the future.

She suggested, "How about we go uniform shopping together?"

Draco obviously had no objection to this.

The two of them stepped into Madam Malkin's robe shop together.

"Oh, what lovely little wizards you are. Come in."

As soon as I opened the door, the owner of the shop, Madam Malkin, a smiling witch in a purple dress, came to greet me.

Madam Malkin led them past racks filled with robes of every color and style. The shop was filled with a faint scent of violets. They walked through the crowded rows of racks and came to the room behind the lobby.

There were a few empty footstools, some measuring tapes floating nearby, and a full-length mirror with a bronze frame tilted to the side.

"My dear, come and take your measurements. You must be here to order your Hogwarts uniforms. Come on, try them on."

Before Amanta could say anything, Madam Malkin saw through their intentions, perhaps because their age was too obvious.

The teenage wizard is just the right age to attend Hogwarts.
