Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 82: Snape is a Match for the Game

Amanta was startled and subconsciously glanced at the location of the two people just now.

Those two people have disappeared, but it doesn't matter anymore——

Snape angrily grabbed their collars and carried them out like chickens: "Explain? Huh?"

He glanced behind them. "Where's Potter?"

Damn it, why is Snape here?

Is the potion trade some kind of shady business? ... She remembered that there were several shops that traded potion materials and tools, including some that were not so legal.

Amanta, under tremendous pressure, said, "Professor...you left us in Honeydukes for too long. We were a little hungry, so we went out for a walk."

"...you and my dear godson, wandering all the way to the Hog's Head?"

“We’ve been to other places…”

Draco argued in a weak voice.

"Didn't I tell you that entering the Hog's Head was against Hogwarts rules?"

Snape's look was killing them.

Draco wanted to explain something: "But you really didn't--"

Amanta pulled his hand, signaling him to stop talking.

Although Snape did not tell them this, if they contradicted him when he was angry, their fate would be even worse.

"Humph, now you know. When we return to Hogwarts, I will think about how to punish you. My repeated indulgence has only made you worse. So - where is Potter? Where did you leave him?"

Snape gritted his teeth and abruptly changed the subject.

...Luckily Snape cared more about Harry.

Amanta breathed a sigh of relief and pointed in the direction of the Three Broomsticks.

"He was in the Three Broomsticks pub, where we met Lockhart, who was taking some pictures with Harry."

"The attention-seeking Potter and that Lockhart are a perfect match."

Snape cursed under his breath and ran towards the three broomsticks.

His robes were huge and irregular, draped behind him in a light and flowing motion, and indeed resembled the "giant bat" that Harry always talked about.

Just looking at his back, Amanta suddenly felt that he looked familiar... Could the tall hooded man at the table just now be Snape?

If Snape was that person, what was he talking about with the short, fat man?

……

"Potter, well..."

Hearing this infernal sound, Harry turned back from Lockhart in fear.

"Professor Snape..."

Harry stammered, he felt as if he had fallen from one hell into another.

Snape's face showed an undisguised sneer.

"Very good, Potter... Although I don't expect too much from your slug-filled brain, I am disappointed to see you so eager to show off."

There is no student at Hogwarts who doesn't know this dreaded Potions Professor.

Seeing the arrival of this uninvited guest, the onlookers' enthusiasm for Lockhart faded a little, and they all made way for Snape.

Snape walked unhindered to Lockhart and Harry.

Lockhart looked up from the camera and gave Snape a bright smile.

"Oh, this is... Mr. Severus Snape, a famous potion genius. He was once my senior, and I have heard of his name for a long time when I was in school."

He greeted Snape enthusiastically, and Snape nodded slightly: "Lockhart."

He grabbed Harry's left arm and tried to pull him up from in front of Lockhart.

"I'm here to take Harry back."

Lockhart gave him a look of surprise and put his hand on Harry's shoulder.

"Why rush? We still have plenty of time today. By the way, Severus, are you here to get my autographed photo like Harry?... Oh, I'm so sorry. I gave the last one to Harry. He liked it very much."

Amanta peeked in from the door and saw this scene.

Snape's gloomy face changed dramatically as he squeezed out a word from between his teeth.

"I think you misunderstood, Lockhart. I don't want your...autographed photo."

Lockhart put his index finger to Snape's lips, stopping him from saying anything.

"Severus, I understand that you admire me, but... please don't be so upset because you didn't get the autographed photo, okay? Yes, of course! I want to give you the most surprising gift!"

He met Snape's gaze, which looked like he was an idiot, and gave him his most iconic charming smile.

"From now on, we are colleagues! What's wrong, Severus? Are you too excited to speak?"

"..."

Amanta shrugged and turned back to Draco and said, "Snape is a worthy opponent."

Draco leaned lazily against the door with his arms folded, and smiled at Amanta: "I'm afraid this is the best moment I'm in today."

They waited for a long time before Harry came out, followed by Snape and Lockhart, who was holding Snape's arm and chattering.

Cedric and Andy followed them.

"Uh...well, we suddenly remembered that we need to buy some quills."

Cedric spoke up, glancing nervously at Snape and Lockhart.

Amanta patted his shoulder in understanding: "Go, Snape will send us back."

The short man with the camera seemed to be leaving as well, and Lockhart looked extremely reluctant to see him go.

"Take a few more photos for us? Hmm! Are you leaving? Well, tomorrow's headline will be 'The man who brought the savior and the potion master together in a small bar'. Listen to me, this will definitely cause a sensation -"

Lockhart waved goodbye to the short man who was tapping his camera.

His camera was no longer emitting purple smoke - Amanta suspected that he had taken too many photos today and had run out of the developing solution that made the photos move.

Snape's expression was unusually cold and angry. He frowned and looked at the little guys who had caused him trouble.

"According to Miss Merlin's introduction, I think you have already visited enough places here..."

Before he could finish his words, Lockhart's golden head squeezed in again.

"Are you heading back to Hogwarts? Very well, we're on the way - another hour of intimate time with your favorite idol, Harry. Sometimes I envy your luck."

As they walked back, Lockhart talked non-stop about why he wrote his autobiography, his experiences with the Tibetan Yeti, and finally even started talking about his favorite colors and constellations.

Under his intensely expectant gaze, Harry occasionally responded perfunctorily.

Along the way, almost no one else spoke except Lockhart's voice.

Because of Lockhart's presence, they felt like fools no matter what they said.
