The Charles Becomes a Wizard
Chapter 14 Snape
Time flies, and more than half a year has passed in the blink of an eye. While running his own business, Ciel also strives to absorb knowledge from the magic world. His life is filled with work and study. Occasionally, he has to squeeze out time to go out and "accidentally meet" the unsuccessful savior and listen to Draco's complaints through a one-way mirror. His life is even more fulfilling than his previous life.
"Hey, Charles, did you hear what I said?" Draco in the one-way mirror sounded a little dissatisfied.
"I heard it." Ciel sat at the large desk and flipped through the documents in his hand without looking up. He simply summarized Draco's complaints that he had spent half an hour on: "Before Mr. Malfoy went on a business trip, he gave the task of teaching you to your godfather. You felt that his teaching method was too strict and you didn't like it."
"That's right!" Draco nodded heavily. "I don't know what my father is thinking. He clearly told me before that I didn't need to learn so many things in advance. But now he has assigned me a lot of tasks after only being away for a week..."
In fact, Draco was not opposed to accepting the learning task of the heir in advance. Even though he was spoiled by Lucius and his wife and became a little ignorant, he was still a qualified nobleman. He grew up in a pile of smart people, and even if he was naive, there was a limit. He knew very well that the heavy and complicated things he needed to learn were the foundation of the nobility and the basis for the long-term survival of the Malfoy family. So even if he was exhausted every day and wanted to collapse, he still persisted.
The main reason why he couldn't stand it after just a few days was because of his godfather...
"I remember you respected your godfather very much." Charles had some impression of Draco's godfather.
Severus Snape, a famous potion master in the wizarding world, a winner of the Order of Merlin, a man who was obviously not short of fame and fortune, but for some reason he was willing to serve as the Potions Professor at Hogwarts for so many years... It's not that there is anything wrong with the profession of professor, it's just a waste of talent, just like asking a professional medical professor to teach first-year students how to count. It's outrageous no matter how you look at it.
"That's right..." Draco replied sullenly. But the godfather's aura was too terrifying. Standing in front of him, even breathing became cautious. And once he made a mistake that seemed simple to him...
Draco shuddered suddenly. He looked at Ciel who was concentrating on his work in the two-way mirror and suddenly said something whimsical: "How about I stay at your house for a few days?"
Ciel's fingers resting on the document paused for a moment. "Why do you suddenly think of this? There is no way to train in magic here."
"Anyway, my godfather is mostly at Hogwarts during the day, and only comes to Malfoy Manor through the fireplace at night, so he doesn't have much time to take care of me." The more Draco thought about it, the more he felt that this was a good idea. The pressure brought to him by his godfather was too great, and he had no confidence that he could successfully hold on until his father returned from his business trip. "If there is no way to train in magic, I can also move up the progress of learning ancient Latin and drawing magic patterns, and practice spells when my father comes back."
"And I haven't visited your family yet." Seeing that Charles was about to refuse, Draco added, "I will bring the book you haven't finished reading with you."
"...Will Mr. Malfoy agree?" Charles changed his words immediately.
Mr. Lucius Malfoy, who was far away on the other side of the ocean, agreed.
It was obvious that the Malfoy family would have closer exchanges with the Muggle world in the future. He had always wanted Draco to know more about the Muggle world, and now that his little idiot had brought it up first, there was nothing wrong with getting in touch with them in advance.
In fact, compared to the old-fashioned and conservative wizarding world, the speed of development in the Muggle world shocked Lucius. He even began to regret not purchasing properties in the Muggle world earlier. How many opportunities to earn gold Galleons had he wasted over the years!
Since the biological father agreed, the godfather certainly couldn't say anything.
So the next morning, two figures, one large and one small, suddenly appeared outside Phantomhive Manor. Vincent, who got the news, immediately asked the butler to invite them, and soon Draco and Snape walked into the reception room.
Severus Snape is a tall man with shoulder-length black hair that looks greasy and sticks to his face. There are two deep marks between his eyebrows. His face looks a bit bitter, and his big hooked nose is particularly noticeable.
His manners were fairly polite, and when he spoke to Vincent he was not as condescending as Lucius had been at first. Judging from his clean and tidy shirt and trousers, Charles felt that this man must have lived in the Muggle world for some time.
But, should we say that he is worthy of being a potion master? He has a slightly bitter herbal smell on him.
Snape seemed to have other things to do, and after a few simple greetings, he left Phantomhive Manor alone. Seeing that the two children were getting along well, Vincent said hello and went back to the study.
"Huh." Draco couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
"Is it that exaggerated?" Charles laughed at him.
"The Godfather is really scary when he curses!" Draco swore. "I can swear on Merlin's stinky socks."
You don't have to.
Ciel arranged for someone to deliver Draco's luggage to the guest room, and then asked, "Do you want to take a rest first or just walk around?"
"I am not tired."
Ciel nodded and took Draco to familiarize himself with the environment in the manor. Then the two of them met Eric who was stabbed to the ground by his opponent in the fencing room.
Draco: “!!!”
Draco looked at Eric, who was sitting on the ground in his fencing suit, then turned to look at Charles beside him. The two identical faces made him confused for a moment.
"This is my brother, Eric Phantomhive." Ciel reached out and pulled Eric up, then looked at the other tightly wrapped fencer and introduced him to Draco: "This is his fiancée, Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia Midford."
"Are you Ciel's new friend?" A chuckle came from behind the mask. The man with fierce moves raised his hand and took off the mask on his face, revealing a cute girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"This is Draco, Draco Malfoy."
After the two sides exchanged greetings, Elizabeth and Eric put on their equipment again and continued today's training.
Ciel saw Draco's eyes shining as he watched the two fight, thought for a moment and asked, "Do you want to try? Even though I can't compare to them, I know a little bit."
