Seeing Sirius and Snape arguing with each other and getting more and more angry, Dumbledore had to speak up to stop them in order to prevent them from really fighting.

"Sirius, Severus, let's do business first. You can bond later."

Hearing this, Sirius and Snape looked at each other, then turned away in disgust at the same time.

Seeing that the two of them had quieted down, Dumbledore dropped two bombs decisively.

He mainly talked about two things, one was that Voldemort might make a comeback, and the other was about Harry.

Sirius and Snape had a premonition that Voldemort was still alive, so they were not too surprised. However, Sirius had some different opinions on Harry's matter...

"You mean he has to go back to his aunt's?" Sirius frowned in dissatisfaction.

This holiday Harry accepted Sirius' invitation and followed him back to the Black family's ancestral home. As they spent time together day and night, their feelings for each other quickly heated up. He wished he could make up for all the years Harry had missed all at once, and of course he didn't want his godson to return to those mediocre and vicious Muggles again.

As far as Sirius knew, Harry's so-called relatives were not kind to him.

"Yes, he must go back, for his own safety," Dumbledore insisted.

"No need," Sirius reached out and scratched his hair irritably, "I can protect him!"

"That's different," Dumbledore sighed softly, "Twelve years ago, I cast an ancient magic on Harry. This magic relies on Lily's blood and works on Lily's sister. Maybe that Muggle doesn't like Harry and is not good to him, but as long as she is willing to accept Harry, this magic will work."

"Harry has to go back every year. As long as he is still willing to call the place where the Dursleys live home, the magic will not fail. Lily risked her life to save Harry, and her blood will still flow in Harry and Mrs. Dursley. Mrs. Dursley's blood will become a shelter. If Harry stays there, Voldemort will not hurt him."

"Lily's sacrifice makes the bond of blood the most powerful barrier of protection I can offer Harry."

Dumbledore's words made Snape's fingers twitch unconsciously. A ripple flashed in his deep eyes, which he quickly suppressed.

"Oh, damn, Dumbledore, you don't know how badly they treat Harry! Those damn Muggles let him live in a cupboard! And make him help tidy and clean like a house elf!" Sirius yelled.

If Harry hadn't tried to stop him, after knowing Harry's miserable life in the past, he would have planned to teach those Muggles a lesson and make them pay for their treatment of Harry over the years.

In fact, Sirius has not given up this idea until now.

"Sirius, no matter how miserable and pitiful Harry was there, at least they took him in." Dumbledore saw through Sirius's thoughts at a glance. "Even after knowing the potential risks of taking in Harry, they were still willing to provide a shelter for Harry."

"In my opinion, they have done enough."

Was he just going to watch Harry return to the house that had caused him so much suffering?

Sirius turned around twice in frustration, unable to find a solution to have the best of both worlds.

Snape, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke up: "You mean, it was Lily who saved him?"

Dumbledore paused, "Yes, Lily's sacrifice left a permanent protective barrier in Harry's blood. This protection prevents Voldemort from touching Harry."

"Sacrifice?" Snape curled his lips coldly. "Is there nothing else Mr. Dumbledore wants to tell us?"

Sacrifice... Can simple sacrifice and protection leave a permanent protective barrier?

Don't be ridiculous! The Death Eaters killed so many wizards, many of whom died under the same wand to protect their children and lovers. Why is it that only Harry Potter has a protective barrier?

Snape, who heard about this for the first time, didn't believe that there were no other secrets.

Sirius, who was spinning in place, also stopped and looked at Dumbledore quietly.

"Lily once borrowed a book from me," Dumbledore stood up and looked out the window, "which recorded a complex and ancient blood magic. After the accident, I found out that she used that magic to protect Harry before she died."

"Blood magic?" Sirius's expression suddenly looked a little strange. "Perhaps you mean sacrificial magic?"

Unlike Snape, who was born in the Muggle world, the Black family where Sirius grew up had a deep foundation, and he was trained as the heir by the entire family. So he realized at the first time how much price the so-called "blood magic" that "could leave a permanent protective barrier" would require the person who used the magic to pay.

"Invisible Sword!" As soon as the words fell, a spell flew towards Dumbledore's defenseless back.

"Armor protection!" Sirius reacted quickly. He quickly cast a spell on Dumbledore and then shouted at Snape: "Damn Snotlout, are you crazy?"

"Maybe I've gone crazy a long time ago!" Snape gritted his teeth. The whites of his eyes were covered with red bloodshot. His face was painful and hideous. The wand in his hand cast various spells again and again. "I went crazy more than ten years ago."

"How dare you, how dare you give her the sacrificial magic!"

One evil curse after another flew towards Dumbledore with Snape's full anger, and Sirius, who was standing in front of Dumbledore, was overwhelmed.

"Severus, this is her own choice." Dumbledore said in a calm and gentle tone.

"The person who decided to use this magic was Lily. She wanted to protect her son and was willing to sacrifice her own life for it."

Snape's arm, wielding his wand, froze for a second, and the next second he was hit by the petrification spell cast by Sirius.

"Severus, Lily is gone. She made her own choice," Dumbledore walked around Sirius and slowly walked to Snape, looking at the man who was about to be overwhelmed by pain with his blue eyes. "Now, are you willing to help her continue to protect her son?"
