Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 3 Greene's House

"Hello, Aris!" The beautiful middle-aged woman came to Jim, "My name is Selena, and I will be your mother from now on!" She smiled gently.

"Mother..." Aerys called out very stiffly. Selina took Aerys in her arms and said to her husband, "Go and complete the adoption procedures, dear! I'll hold our little gentleman!"

"Please put me down, mother! I can walk by myself..." Aeris struggled tentatively, and his usually pale face was now red.

"Our little gentleman is shy..." Selina giggled and put Eris down. Eris was between the couple, holding their index fingers with his two little hands.

Aeris felt as if he was dreaming. He was about to enter a new life and leave this place that he loved and hated.

The adoption procedures were completed smoothly without any accidents. Even when he got into a very beautiful car, Aries' little head was still dizzy.

They drove into a posh neighborhood in London and stopped in front of a large villa. On the lawn in front of the villa was a large sign that read: "Greene's House."

After Jim parked the car in the garage, the couple led the little one into the villa.

The villa was very clean and elegant, with shiny floors and wall tiles, and a faint fragrance in the house. Although the furniture looked a bit plain, Aries had no doubt that the value of the most inconspicuous armchair here was enough to cover the monthly expenses of the orphanage he had left.

"Welcome home, little gentleman!" Selina touched Aris' head and said softly.

"Let's celebrate our child's birthday!" said Jim happily.

Aris looked at Jim in confusion. Jim blinked at him and said, "Today is your birthday, Aris. We celebrate your birthday every year. Why are you crying?"

Eris, who has lived two lives, has never had anyone celebrate his birthday. In the world where he was called Cao Nan, no one ever cared about the day he was born. After traveling to this world, Eris didn't even know the day he was born. Eris touched his face, and before he knew it, his face was covered with tears.

Selina took out a handkerchief to wipe the tears from Aris's face and said distressedly: "You must have suffered a lot, dear! You must be strong..."

"Thank you, Dad and Mom!" Aeris said with a smile after wiping away his tears.

"Get busy! Honey!" Jim said happily, waving his hand. He turned on an old-fashioned phonograph, and melodious, classical music sounded in the room of the villa. The couple had taken off their coats, put on aprons, and after placing Aries in a large armchair, they started to get busy in the kitchen.

Aeris looked around curiously in the armchair, feeling very excited. He had a home and his parents were very kind to him. Although he didn't know what kind of world he had traveled to, what did it matter?

Eris has no intention of being the protagonist of the world. He is lucky to grow up with the company of his loving parents, and to accompany his parents as they grow old. He lives a peaceful, happy and healthy life.
