Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 5: Hero's Relics

Except for that door, there is space for opening and closing the door, and on both sides of the door there are square display cabinets with more than ten layers.

The space of this room is very large. There is a gorgeous round table in the center of the room. In the center of the table is a transparent glass box. Inside the glass is a cloak-like thing neatly folded. Although it looks shabby, the patterns on it are intricate and exquisite.

Jim admired the pattern on the cloak-like object, as if muttering to himself, or as if saying to Aeris: "It's beautiful, isn't it? Do you know what this is? This is the cloak that Arthur Pendragon, the great knight king of Great Britain, wore when he was conquering the world."

Aeris looked at Jim in shock, somewhat incredulous. Jim, noticing Aeris's look, smiled smugly and said, "Incredible, isn't it? Do you know the story of the Knights of the Round Table?"

Aris nodded subconsciously, then quickly shook his head when he realized what was happening, and said, "I only heard it occasionally in the bedtime stories in the orphanage." Aris told a not very clever lie, there were no bedtime stories in the orphanage!

"That was a glorious era!" Jim didn't care much. He left the round table and walked towards other display cabinets, with Aries following closely.

"This sword tip is part of the sword of Gawain, the Knight of the Sun; this hilt belongs to Lancelot, the Knight of the Lake; this exquisite little harp, I bet it is the relic of Tristan, the Knight of Mercy; this bull helmet belongs to Mordred; this armor fragment is from Agguin; this one is from Percival; this one is from Galahad; this one is from Gareth; this one is from Bedivere..."

Jim was still listing the treasures in each display case, and Aeris was completely confused. What are these? "Sacred relics"? Have I come to the world of "Fate Grand Order" or something similar? It's not impossible to be in the Type-Moon world.

That would be really fun. The worldview of Fate is so vast. If something goes wrong, someone will come and destroy it. Can you bear it or not?

Feeling the special vibrations emitted by each "relic", Aeris felt that the peaceful life he expected seemed to be getting farther and farther away from him.

Before Aris could come to his senses, Jim picked him up and asked with a smile, "Are they all fascinating? Huh? Are you so excited that you can't even speak? I know the feeling very well!"

Aeris nodded helplessly. Jim pointed at a blood-red spear head, which shone with a sharp light under the light. "This is the weapon used by the Celtic warrior Cu Chulainn." Jim introduced, "After so many years, it is still sharp..."

"And this!" Jim's eyes were full of memories. Aris looked in the direction Jim pointed, and there was a large, antique, old golden key in the glass cabinet.

"This was given to me by my friend in Iraq," Jim continued. "It is said that this is the key to the treasure house of the hero king Gilgamesh. When I was young, I went to the Mesopotamian region to look for the legendary treasure house. Wasn't that stupid?"

Aris shook his head hastily. “Hahaha!” Jim laughed heartily. “You must have dreams, so that life will not be boring…”

The father and son I just met today were in Jim's Treasure House, appreciating various "heroes' relics" and chatting happily until late at night.

"Bang, bang, bang!" There was a knock on the door, and Selina complained outside the door: "I'm sorry to disturb you, but our little gentleman still needs to grow up, dear! Don't you have an important meeting tomorrow? As the CEO, it would be inappropriate for you to be late or absent, right?"

"Coming soon!" Jim led Aris's little hand to the door, saying as he walked, "Happy times are always short!"

Mr. and Mrs. Greene arranged for Eric to go to bed. After saying good night to each other, when Eric lay in his soft and comfortable big bed, he still felt a little unreal. "What a magical day!" Eric murmured to himself and soon fell asleep.
