Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived
Chapter 50 Year-end Dinner
A professor went missing, and the story of what happened to Aris and the others that night somehow spread like wildfire, becoming more and more outrageous. Aris, Harry, Hermione, Ron, and even Draco were always surrounded by many classmates, who asked them questions out of curiosity. Even when they didn't talk, they were willing to stay with them, and would actively invite them to have fun when there was any entertainment.
The scores of the final exams were announced. Harry and Ron both passed the exams. Aris ranked first in the grade, Hermione ranked second by a narrow margin, Draco was third in the grade, and even Crabbe and Goyle passed the exams. Although Neville's performance in other subjects was unsatisfactory, he had a high talent for Herbology and barely passed the exam... So they will be second-year students next school year, but Hermione looked at Aris with some resentment these days.
The rest of the time at Hogwarts was quite comfortable and enjoyable. The five of them were inseparable every day. They would go for walks on the edge of the Black Lake, play flying games on the Quidditch field, and play wizard chess together...Ares and Hermione would also accompany the other three, but relatively speaking, they spent more time reading than playing.
They would also visit Hagrid often. After the defense of the Philosopher's Stone, when they went to visit Hagrid for the first time, Hagrid lay on his wooden table and cried loudly after seeing them. Norrington lay obediently beside Hagrid's legs, roaring from time to time, as if to comfort Hagrid.
Hagrid felt that everything was his fault. Because of his "big mouth", the carefully guarded Philosopher's Stone was almost stolen and five children were almost killed. With the comfort of everyone, Hagrid slowly cheered up.
Norrington, this magical dragon, can walk upright easily on his hind legs. When he stands up, he is already slightly taller than Aeris and Harry. He also shows great wisdom. Just looking at his lively eyes, it is hard to imagine that he is a ferocious beast.
Hagrid made tea for the children. When the children saw the ferret sandwiches that Hagrid took out, except for Aeris, their smiles were a little stiff. Hagrid also took a group photo of them with a borrowed camera. In front of Hagrid's hut, Hagrid set the shooting angle and delay of the camera, and then took a photo with everyone. Fang and Norrington were also in the photo.
The end-of-year dinner arrived as scheduled. This was the last time that the students of Hogwarts would have dinner together in the castle in this academic year. They would start their one and a half month summer vacation tomorrow. This made other students happy, but made Harry frown. He really didn't want to go back to Privet Drive.
"You've heard what Lord Merlin said," Hermione consoled her, "You need to live with your blood relatives for more than half a month before the protective magic on your body will be activated. You don't want your mother's efforts to go to waste..."
Aris could feel that after Hermione's consolation, Harry seemed even more lost.
The dinner began, and Professor Dumbledore began a speech to encourage the students. He stretched out his arms, as if he wanted to embrace all the students in the hall, as if nothing would make him happier than to see the students gathered together.
Then came the year-end settlement of the House Cup, and Professor Dumbledore's gentle voice spread throughout the hall:
"Fourth place: Hufflepuff, one hundred and eighty-five points!"
There was applause in the auditorium
"Third place: Ravenclaw, one hundred and ninety-five points!"
Applause again
"Second place: Gryffindor, 200 points!"
There was applause, but it was somewhat weak.
"First place: Slytherin, two hundred and forty points!"
There was a cheer from the Slytherin table.
Professor Dumbledore said gently: "Well done, Slytherin, very good, Slytherin, but there are some extra points that I think need to be added to the final statistics." All eyes in the hall looked at Professor Dumbledore.
Professor Dumbledore said: "First of all, Mr. Draco Malfoy generously extended a helping hand when his friends were in need, so Slytherin deserves ten points!" There was another cheer from the Slytherin table.
Professor Dumbledore: "The second place goes to Mr. Ronald Weasley. He has shown unparalleled loyalty to his friends and is willing to risk his life for them. Therefore, he gets ten points from Gryffindor!" Ron's ears turned red amid the applause of the crowd.
Professor Dumbledore: "The third place goes to Miss Hermione Granger. You are brave and fearless, and you remain calm and collected in any situation. Therefore, you get ten points from Gryffindor!" Hermione's little face flushed as she looked at the classmates who were applauding her.
Professor Dumbledore: "The fourth place is Mr. Aris Grindelwald. He has demonstrated unparalleled magical talent and saved his friends from danger many times. Therefore, Gryffindor gives him ten points!" Aris smiled at the students who applauded him.
Professor Dumbledore: "Fifth place, Mr. Harry Potter. He was able to resist the temptation of a dangerous magical item and successfully protected the school's important property. Therefore, Gryffindor gives him twenty extra points!" Harry smiled shyly amid the applause of the crowd.
Whispering in the hall: "Gryffindor and Slytherin are tied..."
Professor Dumbledore: "Finally, Mr. Neville Longbottom, it takes ten points of courage to resist your enemies, but it takes twelve points of courage to resist your friends. Therefore, Gryffindor adds another twelve points!" After a moment of being stunned in disbelief, Neville lay on the table in front of him and cried inconsolably. The hall erupted in loud applause and cheers, as if to lift up the magical sky above the hall.
Professor Dumbledore finally said: "If I'm not mistaken, the decorations in the hall should be changed." He clapped his hands lightly, and the banners and curtains of the silver and green Slytherin snake used to decorate the hall were changed into the red and gold Gryffindor lion.
The unforgettable night always passed, and the next day, Hagrid came to see off Edwards, Harry and the others, and distributed the developed photos. With the melodious sound of the train whistle, they left the Hogwarts Castle where they had lived for a year.
In a carriage, Aeris cast a traceless extension spell to turn the small space into a large room, and then used a splitting spell to split several tables and chairs so that everyone could have a seat. Aeris looked at the dozen people in the room helplessly and said, "Can't you go to other carriages?"
Fred said cheekily, "We have to take care of our sniveling brother too!"
George echoed: "Poor little Ronnie, what will happen to him if he leaves us?"
Under Ron's murderous gaze, the twins laughed out loud.
"I want to have a fight with Potter!" Draco said carelessly.
Harry was speechless: "Thank you!"
With a group of funny people around, the journey time passed quickly. When they got off at Platform 9 3/4, Harry couldn't help but wonder: "Did the train speed up?"
"Goodbye, Potter~"
"Bye, Grindelwald..."
"See you next year, Potter~"
"Come over to my place if you have time during the summer vacation, Grindelwald..."……………………
Ron's tone was bitter: "You two are really famous..."
Harry smiled sadly and shook his head.
The crowd dispersed and left the platform one after another, entering King's Cross Station. A chubby red-haired witch, leading a beautiful red-haired little girl, was waiting for her sons. The red-haired little girl jumped and pointed at Harry, shouting, "Harry Potter..."
They all approached the witch, who spoke softly to Harry, "How's the semester going, dear?"
"Colorful!" Harry replied. He was about to say something else when an impatient roar rang out: "I don't have time to wait for you all afternoon, kid!" A fat figure waved at Harry in the distance, as if he was unwilling to come closer to the crowd. Harry said goodbye to everyone with a bitter face and walked away, looking back every few steps.
The witch said to Edwards, "Ron often mentioned you in his letters. Thank you for taking care of our Ron." Edwards smiled and said, "You are so polite, Mrs. Weasley. I like your sweater very much..."
An elf-like figure came skipping in front of Eris. It was Ariana. This little girl was very friendly and greeted everyone with a sweet voice. Selena also came over and greeted everyone.
Ron patted Aris on the shoulder and said, "I'll write you a letter, buddy!"
"Me too!" said Aeris, smiling.
Hermione's tone was a little aggrieved: "Don't you guys write to me?"
Aeris thrust a note into Hermione's hand and said jokingly, "We can just contact each other over the phone, Miss Know-It-All."
After saying goodbye to everyone, Aris followed Selina home...
