Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 52 Flourish and Blotts Bookstore

Early Tuesday morning, after having breakfast, Aris and Harry went out together to the Leaky Cauldron. There were not many people in the bar in the morning. Tom, the nut-like owner, greeted the two of them. Aris and Harry responded politely and went straight to Diagon Alley.

They first went to Gringotts to withdraw some money, and then went shopping for school supplies together. On the way, they met Hermione, and then met Ron outside Madam Malkin's robe shop. Harry was very happy to meet his long-lost friends. He bought four big strawberry cream ice creams, and the four of them enjoyed the sweet taste while strolling around buying school supplies.

Finally, Ron brought them to Flourish and Blotts. There were crowds of people outside the bookstore. Aris saw a banner outside the bookstore: Gerald Lockhart's "Amazing Me" Book Signing

"The extracurricular reading materials we want to buy are all from this person, right?" Aris said.

"You don't know Gerald Lockhart?" Hermione asked excitedly.

"Should I know?" Aris looked at Harry and Ron in confusion.

Harry and Ron shrugged their shoulders at the same time, without commenting.

Ron led them through the crowd and found Mrs. Weasley, who greeted them warmly: "Harry, Aris, dear, how was your summer vacation?"

"Not bad!" said Aeris, and Harry shook his head with a wry smile.

A short reporter squeezed past, Aris frowned, and a vase-like wizard appeared in the front. He smiled, showing his shiny teeth, causing quite a commotion.

The vase wizard seemed to see Harry, and he muttered to himself: "This can't be Harry Potter." The short reporter just now pulled Harry over roughly and made Harry stand together with the vase wizard.

Harry was very resistant, and the vase wizard said: "Keep smiling, Harry, our photo will be on the front page of the Daily Prophet."

After the photo shoot, the vase wizard said loudly: "I, Gerald Lockhart, am very honored that the famous Harry Potter came to buy my book "Magical Me". Of course, Harry Potter would never have thought and would not have believed that I would give him all my works, completely free of charge. Taking advantage of this exciting moment, I announce that I have accepted the invitation of Hogwarts. I will be the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts in the new school year of Hogwarts. The students of Hogwarts will get a real me who can do magic!"

After another commotion in the crowd, Harry fled back in embarrassment with a very ugly face. He put all the new books he got into the cauldron of the Weasley's little daughter and whispered, "These are all for you. I will buy more..." The little girl's face turned red.

After Aeris, Harry and the others bought all the extracurricular reading materials, they were waiting for Mrs. Weasley and the others outside. A sarcastic voice sounded in a drawling tone: "Isn't it exciting? Potter, the famous boy who survived, comes to the bookstore to buy a book and can make the front page of the Daily Prophet. Tsk tsk tsk..." Draco walked over slowly.

"Drago!" Aess greeted, "I haven't seen you for so many days, can't you be more friendly..."

"He's right, Draco," an adult version of Draco came over. He should be Draco's father. Mr. Malfoy continued, "You should be more friendly when facing your classmates."

Mr. Malfoy suddenly reached out, pulled Harry in front of him, carefully lifted Harry's bangs, and carefully observed the scar.

Miss Weasley exclaimed at the side, and Mr. Malfoy's attention was attracted. He let go of Harry and looked at Miss Weasley with interest, muttering to himself: "Red hair, old robes, second-hand books." He took out a tattered textbook from Miss Weasley's cauldron, and then said, "You must be Miss Weasley!"

Mr. Weasley came over. He glanced at Mr. Malfoy and had no intention of talking to him. Mr. Weasley said, "Kids, this place is too messy. Let's go out."

"Why are you in such a hurry, Arthur?" said Mr. Malfoy. "You've been working overtime late again. I hope the Ministry of Magic has paid you the corresponding salary, but it seems that they haven't." After saying that, he smacked his lips contemptuously.

"Lucius," said Mr. Weasley, "what exactly are you trying to say?"

"Just some pleasantries between old friends," said Mr. Malfoy, stuffing Miss Weasley's book back into the cauldron, but the worn tome seemed to have something extra.

Mr. Malfoy said sarcastically: "If the Ministry of Magic can't even pay a decent salary, why bother to tarnish the reputation of wizards?"

"We have different ideas about bringing wizards into disrepute," said Mr. Weasley gravely.

"It's indeed different," Mr. Malfoy said with a wry smile, "I'm not as depraved as you. Let's go, Draco." After that, he walked out of Flourish and Blotts without looking back.

"See you at the start of school, Grindelwald and Potter." Draco said hello and left.
