HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts
Chapter 10 Harry is targeted
Second period, Professor Snape's Potions class.
Professor Snape's black robe created a gust of cold wind in the Potions classroom as he walked heavily.
Professor Snape's gloomy gaze swept across the classroom and finally stopped on the faces of the Gryffindor and Slytherin students.
"You don't need to wave your wands in my class."
Snape's voice was low and cold, like the chill of winter wind. "I don't expect most of you to understand the essence of potions."
He paused, and his eyes moved slowly around the classroom, as if he was specifically looking at certain students.
Then, he continued: "However, for those few gifted students, I will teach them to manipulate the mind, imprison the senses, hide reputation, brew honor, and even prevent death."
At this point, his eyes turned to Cygnus and Draco.
Cygnus pursed her lips, while Draco raised his chin slightly, his eyes gleaming with confidence.
At this time, Snape's eyes swept across the class, and his tone became more serious, "I have to remind some people not to think that they can be full of confidence and cope with it without attending the lectures just because they are famous in Hogwarts."
At this moment, Professor Snape's gaze was like a circling eagle, sharp and urgent, firmly locked on Harry Potter.
As soon as Professor Snape finished speaking, the atmosphere in the classroom froze instantly, and all eyes turned to Harry Potter.
Harry was still writing something and didn't notice that Snape's eyes were shooting at him like sharp arrows.
His pen danced rapidly on the parchment, as if he was recording some important information.
Hermione nervously poked Harry with her arm, and the pen in Harry's hand fell immediately. He came back to his senses from his thoughts and looked up to see Snape staring at him.
Those black eyes were full of oppression, making Harry feel suffocated.
At this time, Professor Snape had already walked down from the podium and came to Harry with steady steps.
His robe rustled as he walked, like a poisonous snake slithering in the grass.
The atmosphere in the classroom became increasingly tense. The students held their breath, their eyes wandering between Harry and Snape.
"Mr. Potter, oh, our savior," Snape looked down from above, provocative, "Come, tell me, what can be made by mixing powdered narcissus root and infusion of wormwood?"
Hermione Granger waved her right hand wildly in the air like a good student eager to show off.
Harry froze there, mouth clenched.
Snape glanced at the classroom with contempt, a sneer on his lips: "So, what do you think about the technique of finding bezoar?" he asked in a sarcastic tone.
Hermione's hand rose sharply again, but Harry just shook his head weakly: "I don't know, sir."
Snape was unyielding: "What about Aconitum naviculatum and Aconitum wolfsbane? What's the difference?" Harry looked extremely confused, but Hermione's hand was still raised high, and the expression on her face clearly said: "Choose me, I understand!"
"Reputation is not the criterion for everything, is it, Mr. Potter?" Snape's words were not without sarcasm. His eyes were searching for something complicated in Harry's green eyes, which were similar to his mother's.
Harry finally shot back, "Obviously, Hermione already knows the answer. It would be a real shame not to let her share her wisdom."
As soon as these words were spoken, snickers broke out in the classroom.
"Silence!" Snape glanced coldly at the classroom, and wherever his eyes fell, the students immediately lowered their heads.
"Put your hands down, silly girl," he sneered unabashedly as he walked past Hermione Granger.
Hermione blushed and hastily dropped her hand from the air.
Snape then sat down in front of Harry Potter with satisfaction. His green eyes were so similar to Lily's.
Professor Snape's cold gaze moved away from Harry and fell on Sigmathe. There seemed to be a hint of expectation in his eyes, and there seemed to be some deep meaning hidden in them.
"Miss Malfoy, since Mr. Potter cannot answer, then please explain the answers to these three questions to us."
Snape's voice was deep and powerful, irresistible.
Without hesitation, Cygnus stood up and adjusted the collar of his robe, his movements graceful and deliberate.
"When powdered daffodil root is added to the infused leaves of wormwood, the water of life and death is obtained, which is a strong sleeping potion."
Snape nodded with satisfaction and motioned for her to continue.
Segnus smiled slightly and continued to answer:
"The first trick to finding bezoars is to know that bezoars only exist in the stomachs of rams. As for Aconitum naviculatum and Aconitum damicornis, there is actually no difference. They both belong to the genus Aconitum and have the same toxicity and medicinal value."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Slytherin students started to applaud. The applause was like lighting a fuse, and the whole classroom exploded in an instant with thunderous applause.
"So, why not write down all these little details?" Professor Snape's eyes were as sharp as a knife, staring into Harry's eyes, his cold tone leaving no room for doubt.
Before he finished speaking, he turned around and strode back to the podium, the feather pen in his hand dancing like flying, while writing something, he announced coldly:
"Gryffindor students, because one of you has been disrespectful to a teacher, the house has to unfortunately deduct ten points from you."
Draco Malfoy couldn't help but smile smugly, he liked to see Gryffindor being humiliated.
Ron's face immediately turned red, and he complained angrily: "It's all your fault, Hermione. You just raised your hand and Snape deducted our points!"
He looked at Hermione with dissatisfaction, as if she was the mascot of Gryffindor and all the bad luck was caused by her.
Hermione said nothing, but just lowered her head, looking a little aggrieved.
Professor Snape's sharp eyes caught Ron's angry expression, and a sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth:
"It seems that some students still can't learn to be quiet in class."
The sarcasm in his voice grew stronger, "Another ten points from Gryffindor."
The whole classroom fell into silence in an instant. The Gryffindor students all looked at Ron angrily. Ron was about to retort when Harry grabbed his arm forcefully.
Harry shook his head slightly, indicating that now was not the right time.
Ron's face was full of anger. He opened his mouth but said nothing. He could only suppress his anger and sit down.
I don't know how long it was before the bell for the end of get out of class finally rang. Professor Snape put away his quill and left the classroom with heavy steps.
Cygnus straightened his robes and walked in Hermione's direction.
She walked over to Hermione, looked at Ron with disdain, and sneered, "Weasley, you have no ability and you have learned to shirk responsibility. As a boy, your behavior is really cheap."
Ron was stunned by Sensenas' words, his face turned red like a ripe tomato, and he stammered, unable to utter a word.
When Harry saw this, he jumped out to smooth things over. There was a hint of urgency in his voice: "Signus, don't take it personally. Ron just talks too fast and is joking."
Segnus was not so easily convinced. She rolled her eyes and the sarcasm on her face deepened. "Are you kidding? Humph, he did it on purpose."
Draco Malfoy swaggered past with a sneer on his face, and said sarcastically: "Hey, Weasley, where is the pride of pure blood? Being outshined by a Muggle-born is really hilarious."
Blaise Zabini echoed nonchalantly, "That's right, Weasley, are you jealous of Granger's cleverness?"
Ron's face flushed like a boiler about to explode.
He stood up suddenly, his eyes almost spitting fire, and retorted loudly: "You two shut up! Don't pretend to be good people here! Malfoy, Zabini, you are no better than me!"
Following this roar, Ron strode out of the classroom angrily.
Harry Potter instantly shot up from his seat; he could sense Ron's anger and frustration.
He knew that at this moment, what Ron needed most was the company of friends.
Cygnus stood there, following Ron's hurriedly leaving back, a smile of success on his lips.
She gently turned to Hermione, raised one corner of her mouth, and said in the intimate tone that only best friends have: "Look at him, he is always so impetuous and doesn't consider other people's feelings at all."
She put her arm around Hermione's shoulders, as if to convey some kind of comfort: "If it were me, I would never wrong you like this."
Hermione felt the warmth from Cygnus and reached out to hug her back with a grateful smile on her face. "Thank you for your understanding, Cygnus, but Ron just doesn't understand me. He always thinks I'm showing off."
She sighed helplessly, "I just want to win more honor for our college and help my friends."
At this moment, Draco and Blaise exchanged glances not far away. Blaise just shrugged, as if he was accustomed to all this, and did not make any further comments.
Harry hurriedly shuttled through the winding corridors of Hogwarts, and finally caught up with Ron, who was walking heavily, at a corner, panting.
He reached out and gently grabbed the hem of Ron's robe, his eyes full of sincerity: "Hey, don't be sulking anymore, Ron, we all know Hermione has no bad intentions, she's just too enthusiastic sometimes."
Ron turned around with a look of reluctance in his eyes and rolled his eyes: "Do you also think I'm overreacting? I just think that sometimes she, um, shows off her intelligence a little too much."
Harry took a deep breath and put on a conciliatory attitude: "Ron, she really didn't mean it. She is just the kind of person who is naturally curious and always wants to help. And you know Sensei, although she is a little strong, what she said is not unreasonable. We have to admit that Hermione does work hard."
Ron's brows were furrowed, and he pursed his lips as if chewing on Harry's words.
After a while, he finally nodded slowly: "Okay, I understand what you mean, but, Harry, I still think she needs to restrain herself sometimes."
In the Gryffindor common room, the fire was burning brightly. Hermione was sitting on the sofa next to the fireplace, holding a book and reading it attentively.
At this moment, Harry and Ron pushed the door open and walked in, looking cold.
Ron mustered up his courage, walked to Hermione, lowered his head, and said sincerely: "Hermione, I apologize to you for what I said before. I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have questioned your intentions."
Hermione raised her head, looked into Ron's eyes, and smiled slightly: "Actually, I don't care about what you said, Ron. We are friends. I know you sometimes lose control of your emotions, but that doesn't mean you are sincere."
Harry, who was watching from the side, couldn't help but interrupt: "Yes, Ron, Hermione is right. We all know that you are a good person, but you just speak too quickly sometimes."
Although Harry tried his best to coax his two friends, all three of them knew that a crack had already appeared in their friendship.
