HP Princess bravely enters Hogwarts

Chapter 55: Winning over Percy Weasley

Snape stood there quietly, his eyes slightly narrowed, his gaze as sharp as a torch, fixed on Gareth.

He was a little surprised that this freshman could perform the "Oolong Out of the Hole" move so smoothly.

Gareth was a top student in the first grade. He was respectful and polite, always with a gentle smile on his face. He was also humble and polite to his classmates. This reminded Snape of someone.

Tom Riddle

I remember Dumbledore once said that Voldemort was a very popular person in school and was simply the perfect child of other people's families.

Look at Gareth Selwyn now. His actions are exactly like those of Voldemort. It makes people wonder if he will be the third Dark Lord.

But it is too early to draw conclusions now. I hope Dumbledore will not train another Dark Lord.

Segnus' eyes were like the frozen lake, without any ripples. His voice was three parts boredom and seven parts coldness: "You lose."

Gareth, who was sitting opposite her, forced a smile, but it was so shallow that it failed to reach his bottomless eyes.

He straightened his back and gave Segnus a standard gentleman's salute, with a calm and elegant gesture.

Turning around, Gareth walked down the duel stage with firm steps. His footsteps echoed in the quiet space and gradually disappeared among the crowd.

She watched Gareth leave, but a subtle wave of emotion arose in her heart.

In this game, everyone is her pawn, including Gareth.

As soon as the smoke of battle cleared, Gilderoy Lockhart jumped onto the stage eagerly, trying hard to maintain his elegant demeanor.

He waved his hand and said casually, "Hey, kids, that duel just now was really exciting! I have to say that I have a first-rate eye for selecting people! Well, let's stop here today."

Before he finished speaking, Lockhart walked quickly towards the office, and the students cast curious glances at him.

Siegnas stood in the crowd with a barely perceptible smile on her face.

Astoria's eyes sparkled with twinkling lights. She almost jumped to the side of Segnus, her voice full of uncontrollable admiration:

"Sister Segnus, you are really amazing! If possible, could you spare some time to teach me?"

Cygnus turned his head, his eyes fell softly on Astoria, the corners of his mouth rose slightly, and he nodded affectionately.

Draco next to him looked between Cygnus and Astoria, his lips moved slightly, as if he wanted to say something but swallowed it back.

In the end, he still didn't say the words he wanted to stop Segnus from teaching others.

The Slytherin team marched in orderly steps towards the dark cellar.

Hermione from Gryffindor stood there, watching Sensei's figure gradually go away.

There was a hint of doubt in her eyes, like dark clouds covering the sunshine, and her heart was slightly disturbed.

"It seems like there's a new face around Sensenas." Hermione muttered to herself, the corners of her mouth unconsciously drooping slightly.

As soon as she finished speaking, she turned around decisively and walked away quickly.

She knew that the task that Segnus had assigned to her was still to be completed.

Percy Weasley was slumped in an ancient armchair in the Gryffindor Common Room, his eyes fixed on the pages of How to Achieve a Higher Honor.

His brows were slightly furrowed, and his lips moved silently, reciting the words in the book.

Just then, Hermione Granger pushed open the door of the lounge, and a breeze blew gently with the scent of the corridor outside.

Percy just glanced up and gave her an almost imperceptible nod, his eyes quickly returning to his book.

Hermione slid lightly into the sofa, a sly smile on her lips, "Prefect Percy, what I am going to say next will definitely interest you."

Percy was buried in a thick book, and this sentence was like a small stone that broke the calm surface of the lake.

He blinked, raised his head in confusion, and turned his gaze from the densely printed words to Hermione.

As far as he could remember, the girl in front of him had always been a Gryffindor plus point machine, very smart and clever.

Hmm, Hermione Granger, the name rolled around on the tip of her tongue.

Percy's gaze was fixed on Hermione, whose sharp eyes seemed to be able to see into people's hearts.

Hermione was touched by this attention, smiled slightly, and continued in her respectful tone: "You see, someone with real ability like you will definitely not be satisfied with staying in the shadow of others, right?"

A faint smile appeared on Percy's lips, and his original vigilance was dispelled like mist by the morning light. After all, the second-grade girl in front of him was sincerely praising his talent.

He raised his eyebrows slightly: "Oh, you are quite good at talking."

Hermione continued her offensive, her voice carrying an alluring charm, "To be honest, I have always admired you."

She paused, "Your intelligence, your ambition, and your unwillingness to be ordinary, these are what I have been pursuing."

Percy's mouth just curled up into a smug smile, but as the words fell, the smile seemed to be frozen and froze on his face.

A hint of barely perceptible panic flashed across his eyes, but was immediately covered up by the serious mask he had just put on.

Percy frowned slightly, as if he was a little unhappy, as if the little abacus in his heart was inadvertently hit.

As soon as Hermione finished speaking, the corners of her mouth slightly raised, and she looked at Percy meaningfully, "Just think about it, Percy, a Hogwarts student who got twelve Os, how glorious that would be, and the status would definitely be unrivaled."

Percy's heartstrings were touched by these words, and his mind pictured that small, noisy home, filled with ordinariness and insignificance.

He didn't want his life to be like that of other people in his family, unknown and without any achievements.

He longed to get to the top, to have power and influence - to become Minister for Magic, for example.

Percy's eyes flickered slightly, as if a fierce battle was going on in his heart.

Hermione saw it and had a clear idea in her mind.

The corner of her mouth rose slightly and she slowly extended a hand towards Percy.

"Come on, Percy, become one of us."

Hermione's voice was low, like a cradle rocking quietly in the night, making people want to get closer.

"You know, the trust of the Malfoy family is not something you can get easily. It will not only make you stand out from the crowd, but also make the road to your ambitions much smoother."

Percy slowly reached out and finally shook Hermione's hand.

"This isn't betrayal, it's not hanging out with that Malfoy guy." Percy thought to himself, as if explaining to an unknown audience, "All I want is to make the plan go more smoothly. Mom and Dad, they will understand me, right?"

Hermione saw through his inner struggle. She smiled slightly and said in a seductive tone:

"Percy, just imagine what Mr. and Mrs. Weasley will be like when you really become the person of your dreams? They will be so proud of you."

She stared into Percy's blue eyes, which were as deep as the ocean, trying to pull him into the abyss and sink with Cygnus.

"You, Percy Weasley, will be the object of admiration of all your brothers. You will be the pride of Hogwarts and the glory of Gryffindor. You may become a legendary figure like Dumbledore, with your name and image printed on every wizard card."

Percy walked into the Gryffindor boys' dormitory silently, holding a heavy book.

His face showed no emotion, but Hermione knew it clearly.

Percy has agreed to join Cygnus' team, and she has done a great job in completing the tasks assigned by Cygnus.
