Naruto: We are invincible
Chapter 139 Assassination Mission
Nao stopped and said with a smile:
"sorry for disturbance."
"No, it's okay." Gang Zitie's cheeks flushed slightly. The girl in front of him was so beautiful that he was a little overwhelmed. "Excuse me, what are you doing in Konoha?" He tried to appear calm.
"Can't you come if there's nothing else?" Nao asked with a smile. Her eyes suddenly turned blood red, and three black magatama spun rapidly in her pupils. A powerful pupil power instantly controlled Gang Zitie.
"Of course, have fun." Gang Zitie said stupidly.
Nao smiled slightly, turned around and walked into the village.
Gang Zitie finally came to his senses. He shook his head vigorously, trying to clear his mind, but what had just happened kept replaying in his mind like a movie.
"What a strange girl..." he muttered to himself, then turned back to his post.
"I miss it so much..." Nao couldn't help but sigh as she looked at the familiar scene in front of her.
It was lunch time, and the streets were bustling with people coming and going, filled with laughter and joy, as if nothing had changed. Only the new face on the Hokage Rock reminded her that ten years had passed.
Nao almost forgot the warmth and bustle of Konoha Village. She wandered aimlessly on the street, watching the vendors on the roadside greet customers enthusiastically, listening to the children's cheerful laughter, and smelling the aroma of various foods in the air. She felt extremely relaxed and comfortable.
She walked into a meatball shop, bought a few strings of sweet meatballs, and continued walking while eating.
Suddenly, her steps stopped and her heartbeat began to accelerate uncontrollably.
She saw two people. No, to be more precise, two people who made her feel extremely familiar, yet extremely scared.
Walking in front was a tall man with blond hair, two clear marks of a beard on his face, and a pair of deep blue eyes full of determination and confidence.
Following him was a beautiful woman with long black hair and a pair of white eyes as pure as snow. One could tell at a glance that she was from the Hyuga clan.
Boom, boom, boom...
Nao could feel her heartbeat getting faster and faster, almost jumping out of her throat. She tried hard to control her emotions and not let herself reveal any flaws. She knew that the two people in front of her were both powerful ninjas. If she was not careful, she would be discovered by them.
Boom, boom, boom...
Nao took a deep breath, and time seemed to stand still at this moment. She passed by the two people, and at that moment, she could even smell the faint fragrance emanating from Hinata.
She suppressed the fear and uneasiness in her heart and continued to move forward until the chakra of the two people disappeared from her perception. She finally breathed a sigh of relief, leaned weakly against the wall, and gasped heavily.
"It's so dangerous..." she thought to herself, if they had discovered me just now, the consequences would be disastrous.
"If I remember correctly, the Ninja School should be just ahead." She adjusted her mood and walked towards the direction of the Ninja School.
## Ninja School ##
"come on! Come on!"
As soon as Nao reached the school gate, she heard cheers coming from the playground.
Several students were doing running training on the playground, and their instructor stood by and encouraged them loudly.
Nao ignored them and walked straight to the teaching building.
The scene in the school was still the same as before, full of youthful atmosphere. She walked slowly along the corridor, and finally, she stopped at the door of a classroom, focused her chakra on her ears, and listened carefully to the teacher's lecture in the classroom.
"Now, who can tell me what the 'Will of Fire' is?" Iruka asked.
A girl with a ponytail immediately raised her hand.
"'The Will of Fire' is a phrase that the Third Hokage often says. He said that every ninja in Konoha Village should love the village, believe in their companions, and devote everything they have to protect the village, just like their predecessors." The girl recited fluently, "The Third Hokage said that this is the source of Konoha Village's strength and the spiritual pillar that supports Konoha Village's continuous progress."
"Very good, your answer is correct." Iruka nodded with satisfaction, "'The Will of Fire' is our belief, the beacon that guides us forward, and the belief that gives us strength and allows us to fight to protect everything we cherish!"
"'Will of Fire'?" Nao muttered to herself. How come she had never heard of this phrase before? It seemed that times had really changed. Even the teaching content of ninja schools had undergone earth-shaking changes.
##remember##
Nao received the mission from Fugaku and hurried to the cemetery. She stopped in front of Uchiha Nana's tombstone.
"Sister, if it were you, what would you do?" Nao murmured to herself facing the tombstone.
"Nao."
A gentle voice suddenly sounded behind her. Nao turned around and saw a beautiful woman standing behind her. She had long, shiny black hair and a pair of black eyes full of tenderness and kindness.
"Mikoto-sama." Nao quickly bowed to the clan leader's wife.
"What's wrong, kid? Are you troubled by anything?" Mikoto asked with concern.
"No, it's nothing, Lady Mikoto." Nao lowered her head, not daring to look directly into Mito's eyes. Although she tried her best to conceal her emotions, Mito still noticed something strange.
"That's not what your eyes say. I'm not referring to your Sharingan," Mikoto explained.
"I...I..." Nao paused to gather her thoughts. "I'm not sure if I want to complete the mission that Fugaku-sama has given me." She explained and Mito nodded.
"I can only tell you one thing." Mikoto's words caught Nao's attention. "Never do something you think is wrong. If you feel deep down that what you are about to do is wrong, don't do it. You will regret it for the rest of your life." Mikoto said sadly and Nao was curious.
"Have you ever encountered something like this?" Nao asked.
"I once betrayed my best friend. We grew up together and were like sisters. We went to ninja school together, trained together, we talked about clothes, weapons... and boys. However, she and her husband died because of me, which is why I now have these cursed eyes." Mikoto said, opening her Sharingan and showing her Mangekyō Sharingan in front of Nao for the first time.
"So beautiful." Nao was attracted by the pattern in Mito's eyes. "It looks like a blooming flower." Nao said, and Mikoto nodded slowly. "Did you get these eyes because of this choice?" Nao wanted to know, but Mito quickly denied it.
"I was faced with a choice, between my clan and Konoha." Mikoto explained, and Nao nodded. "Itachi chose Konoha, and I chose my clan. We both made our own choices. So... you have to think carefully and make your choice, because you will live with it for the rest of your life." Mito finished explaining, and turned to leave.
"Please wait a moment!" Nao suddenly called out, stopping Mikoto. "Thank you," she said sincerely. Mikoto smiled and nodded, and continued walking forward until she disappeared from Nao's sight.
