Naruto: We are invincible

Chapter 141 There is only one truth

"From the moment they planned to launch a coup, they chose this path." Hiruzen interrupted their quarrel. "I tried peaceful negotiations, and Itachi did try to convince them to give up this stupid goal, but they refused to compromise...so I had to take action." Hiruzen explained.

"Why didn't you ask me for help?" Naruto asked.

"What can you do?" Hiruzen asked back. "You are just an eight-year-old child, and you are hated by most people in the village. The world does not revolve around you. When you become Hokage one day, you will understand that many things are not black and white." Hiruzen's tone was stern, which surprised Naruto.

The old man in front of him was no longer the kind grandfather he was familiar with. He was the man who led Konoha to win two Ninja World Wars and the "God of Ninja".

"You are too naive, Naruto." Hiruzen said, slamming his fist on the floor. "One day, you will be forced to make a choice that you will regret forever. You will send your companions on missions that you know are extremely dangerous, but you will be unable to stop them. One day, you will understand the sacrifices that must be made to protect Konoha." Hiruzen explained.

"Is this the price of becoming Hokage?" Naruto thought.

"I'm disappointed in you, Hiruzen." Hashirama said. "This is not the Will of Fire that I advocate. Everyone in the village is family and should not be exterminated like pests." Hashirama explained.

"He did the right thing." Tobirama answered firmly. "How much you think I hate Madara, but he is the only Uchiha I trust." Tobirama's words made everyone else's jaw drop. "He is a man of his words, unlike most of his clan, he would never sacrifice his brother for his own ambitions. Those are just rumors spread by people who are not as strong as him to deceive those who are willing to believe." Tobirama explained.

"Then how do you explain why he challenged me to a duel?" Hashirama narrowed his eyes and looked at his brother.

"I don't know, but he must have his reasons, but we will never know." Tobirama replied.

"Madara is not as power-hungry as those guys. You have also experienced that battle. They used the Mangekyō Sharingan without restraint and were eventually swallowed by darkness. They used Izanagi like a toy and regarded themselves as gods, attempting to dominate everything." Tobirama said gritting his teeth.

"Izanagi?" Kushina asked in confusion.

"Izanagi is a forbidden jutsu of the Uchiha clan, and it is their most powerful illusion." Naruto began to explain. "The Uchiha clan can activate Izanagi by sacrificing an eye, turning imagination into reality."

Naruto's explanation left Kushina and the others who didn't know about this stunned.

"Tobirama is right," Naruto said, causing Hiruzen to look shocked. "If the Uchiha clan really wanted to launch a coup and used Izanagi, Konoha would be destroyed overnight," Naruto explained, and Tobirama nodded in agreement.

"How could this be?" Minato was puzzled. He had never read any information about Izanagi before.

"Imagine if Hiruzen led his troops into battle against hundreds of Uchiha clan members, Hiruzen would definitely have the advantage in terms of numbers. However, just one Izanagi could wipe out Hiruzen's army in an instant," Naruto explained, and Hiruzen was shocked by the power of this technique.

"That all makes sense, but the problem is that they are still alive." Hinata interrupted the discussion.

"What do you mean?" Hiruzen asked, confused.

"Last night, we dug up the Uchiha's graveyard and found that the bodies were fake. Apparently, every Uchiha faked their own death." Hinata explained, but Hiruzen shook his head.

"That's impossible." Hiruzen said in disbelief. "We checked every body and there was nothing wrong. Besides, Itachi couldn't have realized that those bodies were fake, right?" Hiruzen asked.

"This was an assassination attempt. The Uchiha clan had no time to react," Naruto explained.

"How do you know those bodies are fake?" Hiruzen asked curiously.

"Except for the fact that their souls are not in the Pure Land, those bodies are, how should I put it, too perfect." Hinata replied. "I examined Nao's body, and her physical condition was impeccable." Hinata explained.

"Isn't this a good thing?" Hiruzen became even more confused.

"She has no signs of broken bones, no scar tissue, or any other injuries. That's normal for a normal person, but impossible for a ninja. Also, her medical records show that she had broken ribs, but there was no evidence of that on that body," Hinata explained and Hiruzen looked at her in disbelief.

"So," Tsunade said, getting everyone's attention. "You ordered Itachi to exterminate his clan, and he did as you ordered, leaving only Sasuke. As a result, the Uchiha clan is actually still alive, they just faked their own deaths." Tsunade summarized, gathering her thoughts.

" I wonder why Itachi wanted to leave his brother behind? " Minato muttered to himself.

"That was his only request," Hiruzen said. "We have made very excessive demands on him, ordering him to kill his own people, but he cannot do it to his own brother. The agreement between us is that he destroys the Uchiha clan, and in exchange, we have to ensure Sasuke's safety." Hiruzen explained.

"He is a true ninja. I didn't expect him to make such a great sacrifice for Konoha." Tobirama sighed.

"Unless Itachi is in on the scam," Tobirama retorted, and Hashirama shook his head in frustration at Tobirama's stubbornness.

"If Itachi was involved, he wouldn't have kept Sasuke." Naruto retorted. "Who knows, maybe Itachi will turn out to be a good person in the end." Naruto thought, wondering why Itachi would join Akatsuki after everything he had done for Konoha.

"That makes sense," Tobirama admitted.

"Who else knows the truth about the genocide?" Tsunade asked.

"Shimura Danzo, Utane Koharu, and Mito Kado En, because in the end it was the four of us who made the decision," Hiruzen replied.

"I have a question." Kushina asked and everyone looked at her. "If the Uchiha clan is still alive, then why have they been hiding for all these years?" Kushina asked.

"I think Afei has something to do with this." Naruto said. "Don't you think it's strange that Afei appeared in the Hidden Mist Village, and that's where we first met other Uchiha clan members?" Naruto asked, and some people agreed. There are too many coincidences.

"If that's true, then the Akatsuki organization is even more dangerous because there are likely members of the Uchiha clan among them," Tsunade said.

"Until we have more information, this matter must be kept absolutely confidential." Tsunade added, and everyone stood up. Some things are better left buried forever.
