Naruto: We are invincible

Chapter 187 Autopsy Report

"You should focus on the present and 'appreciate every moment' like you said. Instead of worrying about the past and the future, just enjoy the present. No matter how short it may seem to you." Naruto replied and the nine-tailed fox just snorted after hearing his words.

"And... maybe I'll find a way to keep you with me through the years." Naruto grinned and the nine-tailed fox smiled as well.

"I'll remember that." The nine-tailed fox said, turned and left, leaving Naruto lost in thought.

##End of memories##

'What kind of trouble have I gotten myself into now?' Naruto thought as he, Hinata and Sai were heading to the examination room for the second stage of the Jounin Exams.

Naruto wondered what immortality would be like.

Watching others die while he remained, unaffected by time and immune to disease. Forced to adapt to the changes in the world around him. And when Konoha Village was no more, where would he go from here? Naruto may be many things, but he's not naive, and he knows that the age of ninja will eventually come to an end.

Naruto could only imagine what would happen next. Would the knowledge that formed chakra disappear, giving way to a single energy?

Will humans completely forget about chakra and continue to live as ordinary "civilians", leaving behind the ninja way of survival?

Naruto had a lot to consider if he wanted to fulfill his promise to the Nine-Tailed Fox.

But he knew one thing for sure, if he wanted the nine-tailed fox to stay with him for years to come, then he would find a way to keep Hinata by his side as well.

The two arrived at the examination room for the second stage of the Jonin Exam.

He looked around. The place looked a little desolate, too desolate for him.

Naruto noticed that his team was the only one that had arrived. He looked at the sun to confirm the time and double checked the slip of paper he had been given to confirm that they were in the right place.

They were in a desolate plain, with only a high mountain in front of them and an abyss on the other side. Curiosity drove Naruto to the abyss and looked down. They were about thirty or forty meters above the Raikage Tower.

"Welcome everyone," Naruto turned around after hearing the voice and saw several Chuunin running towards them.

"You are on time. If you will follow me to the edge of the mountain, I will explain the contents of the next stage of the exam there." The Chunin said, and Naruto, Hinata and Sai followed him silently to a small wooden house at the foot of the mountain.

Naruto looked up curiously but couldn't see the top of the mountain as the clouds blocked his view.

"The next stage of the test is very simple. This mountain is called Crystal Peak. There are twenty flags on the top of the mountain and each team can only take one. Your task is to climb this mountain or go around it and reach the forbidden forest on the other side." The chunin explained and everyone listened carefully.

"To pass this stage of the exam, we need to collect at least two flags and find the hidden tower in the forest. We have five days, right?" the Chunin asked.

"You said we need two flags?" Hinata asked and the chunin nodded. "We can only take one from the top of the mountain, which means the other one has to be snatched from the other team, right?" Hinata asked.

"That's right." The Chunin said. "You can either climb to the top of the mountain and immediately secure one flag for yourself and then grab the other, or you can choose to go around the mountain and grab both flags from the other team. The choice is yours." The Chunin explained and Hinata nodded.

"What are the rules of engagement?" Sai asked.

"All teams will fight on their own. The only requirement is that when you reach the tower with both flags, the team must remain intact and everyone must be alive." The Chunin said, and Sai gave him a weird smile. "Alright."

The chunin cleared his throat. "Any questions?" he asked, but everyone shook their heads.

"Very good. Each team will be randomly assigned to a location at the foot of the mountain. The test will begin soon." The Chunin said and stood aside.

"What should we do?" Hinata asked her teammates.

"This is the highest mountain in the world. It is about meters above sea level. For an ordinary person, it would take several weeks of training to reach the top." Naruto said thoughtfully.

"Even if we are ninja, it would be foolish to climb this mountain without making sure everyone is aware of the potential dangers." Naruto explained.

"But if we get to the top of the mountain, we can secure a flag for ourselves," Sai said.

"And considering no one has been here before..." Hinata added and Naruto nodded.

"I think we can try to head towards the top of the mountain. The trail is very slippery, so be careful using your chakra. The temperature will drop sharply as we climb higher. You all know the cold-resistance technique, right?" Naruto asked, and Hinata and Sai nodded in response.

"As we climb upwards, the oxygen concentration will begin to decrease, so you need to use chakra to wrap your lungs to compensate for it. Finally, be careful of the strong winds that may appear at any time on the mountain. It can blow you down the mountain or even cause your death. Do you understand?" Naruto asked and received another affirmative nod in response.

"Okay. Let's go then," Naruto said as his team found their position at the bottom of the mountain, waiting for the Chunin to give the signal to start.

"Begin!" the Chunin yelled, the loud ring echoing in the air.

Team Naruto immediately jumped up and rushed to the mountainside, channeling chakra into their feet in order to keep a firm grip on the slippery rock wall.

They climbed upwards at a great speed, intending to grab a flag for themselves as soon as possible.

## Meanwhile, in Konoha ##

Tsunade sighed, took a sip of sake, rubbed her shoulders to try to ease the stiffness, and picked up another report. She began to read, her eyes gradually widening.

AUTOMORPHIC REPORT

Executor: Takashi Takahashi

Assistant: Tanaka Takarin

Date: 94/5/16

Time: 3:20 pm

**SUMMARY REPORT**

Name: Hinata Hiashi Forensic case: 2514-542

Date of birth: January 1 Age: 8

Gender: Male Bloodline: White Eyes

Evidence for treatment: None

External examination: The deceased was dressed in grey pants and shirt, consistent with the traditional attire of Konoha prisoners. Considering the short time of the deceased's incarceration, the clothing was in good condition.

The deceased was a 44-year-old male who was fully grown, 175 cm tall and weighed 64 kg. The body contained scar tissue and numerous other wounds that had never fully healed, consistent with the deceased's medical history. The right arm had been medically amputated.

Internal inspection:

Skeletal system: The deceased had multiple fractures, mainly in the arms, legs and ribs. The seventh to twelfth ribs showed multiple fractures.

Cardiovascular system: The heart weighed 300 grams and was normal in size and structure. Further analysis revealed a slight blockage in the coronary arteries. This impeded blood flow to the heart, preventing the heart muscle from receiving oxygenated blood.

Opinion: Normally, this level of blockage should not be fatal to a professional ninja. I infer that the malnutrition and poor living conditions of the prisoners may have exacerbated the problem.

Cause of death: Acute myocardial infarction

Status: Destroyed according to protocol
