Naruto: We are invincible

"No." The Hokage replied with a smile. "The reason I asked you to come here is that Jiraiya wants you to accompany him to find my successor, Senju Tsunade." The Hokage finished with a silly smile on his face.

"Really?" Naruto thought happily as he went to find his last relative.

"Yes, although she may not be willing to return to the village." The Hokage said with a sigh. She couldn't face what she had lost, so she indulged in drinking and gambling.

"Don't worry, I'll bring her back to the village. I promise." Naruto said.

"I will call a council meeting to grant the promotion. You will be promoted to chunin and have a seat on the council," the Hokage said.

## Council Room ##

About half an hour later, all the family leaders arrived.

"The council will begin now." The Hokage said, then looked at the Genin in front of him. "We are here today to reward these extraordinary Genin for their work during the invasion by giving them promotions." The Hokage began.

"Nara Shikamaru, take a step forward," the Hokage called out, and Shikamaru did as he was told.

"For your outstanding performance in the tournament and your work during the invasion, we promote you to Chunin, congratulations and keep up the good work," the Hokage said before throwing him a bulletproof vest.

"Hyuga Hinata." The Hokage called out and Hinata came out.

"Because of your outstanding performance in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as your calmness when facing powerful opponents, we promote you to Chunin. Congratulations." The Hokage said with a smile.

"Thank you, Hokage-sama." Hinata replied.

"Uchiha Sasuke." The Hokage called out and walked out with a cocky smile.

"You are an exception. After much discussion, and considering the work you did during the invasion, you are promoted to Chunin. However, any disobedience or sabotage will result in you being stripped of your rank, understand?" the Hokage said in a serious voice.

"Of course, Hokage-sama," Sasuke replied, still smiling.

"Finally." The Hokage said, shifting his attention to Naruto. "For not only defeating Shukaku, but also for providing great assistance during the invasion, defeating the Kazekage, and assisting me in my fight against Orochimaru, I grant Naruto the rank of Elite Chunin."

"Because they took away my loneliness." Naruto said. "They saved me from hell, and because of that, they are precious to me, and I would do anything for them." Naruto explained.

"Love... Is this why you are so powerful?" Gaara fell into deep thought.

"Hinata, Grandpa Hokage, Sensei Iruka, Sensei Kakashi, etc..." Naruto said with a smile.

"I don't have anyone who cares like that," Gaara said sadly.

"You just have to look around..." Naruto said, pointing to his brother and mentor.

"Really?" Gaara asked tremblingly.

"Of course, Gaara, we are brothers and we will do anything for you." Kanjuro patted his back.

"Thank you." Gaara said, showing a long-lost smile.

"But you join us." Naruto explained and Gaara nodded. He never really enjoyed his time in the Sand Village, maybe that would change in Konoha.

"What about us?" Temari asked.

"You can stay or go back."

"We'll stay with our brother," Temari and Kankuro said, and Naruto smiled, turning to Maki who had been silent the whole time.

"I-I…can't stay here…I know someone there." Maki said shakily and Naruto nodded.

"I understand." Naruto said, standing up. "I'm going to go look for the Fifth Hokage now, because the old man is retiring. When I come back, I'll take you guys out for ramen. It's my treat." Naruto said.

"Ramen?" Gaara asked. They obviously didn't have that kind of food.

"It's delicious. See you in a few days," Naruto said, leaving the Divine Information Department.

"Naruto...you are a strange person." Gaara thought.

## Sand Village Council Room ##
