【One Piece】Dawn in the Darkness

"Wow! What a big town!" Luffy shouted in surprise.

"Did the pirate era start here?" Sanji said with a smile, "It seems that you can buy a lot of good food here."

"Okay, I'll go see the execution platform!" Luffy said and rushed into the town.

Nami, Usopp and Zoro also entered the town together to buy what they needed.

"I'll buy you a drink!" The store manager's eyes widened and he chuckled, "The future Pirate King!"

"But I don't drink." Luffy said simply.

"Then drink this!" The store manager smiled and took out two glasses of milk. He handed one to Luffy and raised the other to clink glasses with him. "To the eternal Pirate King!"

"Hehe, cheers to the eternal Pirate King!" Luffy repeated excitedly, clinked glasses with the store manager, and drank the milk in his hand.

"You'll find the scaffold in the town square!" the old man said, laughing.

"Thank you, old man!" Luffy jumped off the chair and ran outside.

The old man looked at Luffy's leaving back and murmured, "Looks like I can close the store later, right, Roger."

"Ki, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Nami, I'm sorry." Luffy yelled, and when the knife was close to his neck, a huge smile appeared on his face "I'm dying

"Luffy!!"

"What nonsense are you talking about, idiot!" Sanji shouted in horror.

"What!?" Zoro stared in horror with eyes wide open.

Suddenly, a thunder sounded in the sky, followed by a huge bolt of lightning that struck the execution platform where Luffy was. The platform collapsed, and Buggy, who was standing on the platform, fell to the ground with his body charred.

Everyone stood there nervously, holding their breath, staring blankly at the scene. Qi was the first to react and rushed towards Luffy. Sure enough, after a while Luffy stood up, picked up the hat on the ground and put it on his head.

"Hahahaha, I still survived and got a bargain." Luffy said with a smile while standing in his place.

"You idiot!" Qi angrily punched Luffy on the head, then dragged him towards the port, "Zoro, Sanji, run, the navy is around!"

Sanji calmed down. He looked at Luffy who was carefree and excitedly running after Qi and asked, "Hey, do you believe in God?"

"Stop talking nonsense, there will be more troubles on our way forward." Zoro said as he ran.

"Run!" Luffy turned back while running and shouted to Zoro and Sanji behind him with a bright smile.

"Here it comes!" Sanji and Zoro shouted together. They would not deny the fear in their hearts when they realized that they were really going to lose Luffy, nor would they deny their strong desire to protect Luffy. On this day, they swore in their hearts that they would use their lives and dreams to protect their captain.
