【One Piece】Dawn in the Darkness

Odd was sitting on the railing fishing with the duck while Luffy was sleeping on the bow of Merry's boat.

Just then Sanji came out of the kitchen with cookies, cakes and other snacks. The one who was with Qi ran fast. When he saw the cookies and cakes in Sanji's hands, he ran over excitedly.

"Yours are in the kitchen." Sanji looked angrily at Duck and Usopp who rushed in front of him, "This is what I prepared for Miss Nami and Miss Vivi."

After Sanji finished speaking, he suddenly realized that Luffy, who usually rushed out when he smelled the aroma of food, didn't appear. Sanji placed the biscuits and cakes in front of Nami and the others, then turned around to look for Luffy, who didn't rush out when he smelled the fragrance as usual.

"Where is Luffy?" Sanji looked at Qi who was sitting on the railing fishing.

"He's sleeping on the bow, what's wrong, Sanji?" Qi asked confused.

"I prepared food, but Luffy didn't show up." Sanji said worriedly "That's weird."

Qi quickly secured the fishing rod in his hand, jumped down from the railing, and walked towards Luffy who was lying on the bow.

"Hey, Luffy, get up and eat some meat." Qi jumped onto Merry's sheep's head and gently pushed the sleeping Luffy. He saw the boy rubbed his eyes, closed his eyes and mumbled something.

"Ouch, I want to sleep." Luffy muttered softly.

"Are you tired? Then go to bed." Qi looked at Luffy's tired expression and felt a little confused. Normally, Luffy would not act so tired. Maybe he really wanted to sleep. He pulled Luffy up and carried him to the boys' dormitory.

"What's wrong with Luffy?" Sanji looked worriedly at Luffy who looked tired behind him.

"He said he wanted to sleep for a while. Maybe he was too tired today." Qi said to Sanji, "Let him sleep for a while and call him for dinner."

"Yeah." Sanji nodded, put aside his worries, walked towards the kitchen, and continued preparing dinner for everyone.

Time passed quickly and soon dinner was ready. Sanji walked out of the kitchen and shouted, "Guys, dinner is ready."

Everyone else walked towards the kitchen one by one, and except for Luffy, who was usually the most active in eating, everyone arrived in the kitchen.

"Qi, is Luffy still sleeping?" Sanji asked Qi who came in from the kitchen door. He did not see Luffy behind Qi.

"Luffy hasn't come yet?" Qi frowned. This was too strange. Luffy couldn't be so slow at mealtime. Even if he was sleeping, he would be the first one to rush up when he smelled the aroma of meat in the air. "I'll go call him."

Qi walked quickly towards the boys' dormitory. When he opened the door and saw Luffy sleeping on the bed, he was relieved and shouted, "Luffy, if you don't get up, Usopp will eat your meat."

But Luffy on the bed didn't give him the response he deserved, so he walked over to Luffy who was sleeping, pulled him up, and sat on the bed "Hey, Luffy, get up!"

"Well... I still want to sleep." Luffy lowered his head, his eyelids drooping, as if he could fall asleep at any time, mumbling "But I'm hungry..."

"Dinner is ready, stop being a bitch," Kei said with a smile as he saw Luffy sleepily raising his arms like a little kid wanting him to carry him to the restaurant.

"Walk there by yourself next time." Although he said that, Qi still carried Luffy on his back and walked towards the restaurant.

"But are you feeling uncomfortable, Luffy?" Qi asked with concern as he walked towards the restaurant. "You feel hotter than usual."

"Yeah." Luffy just responded with his eyes closed. He felt that he had no strength in his body and his head was throbbing with pain, which made it impossible for him to concentrate on responding to Qi's concern.

As soon as they entered the restaurant, everyone's attention shifted to them and Qi put Luffy down.

Luffy yawned and sat down in his seat, and Sanji immediately placed the food that had been prepared in front of Luffy.

"Thank you Sanji! I need food." Luffy said as he tried to shift his attention to the meat in front of him. Although he didn't know why he felt uncomfortable, he would recover as long as he ate enough meat.

The others sighed quietly in relief as they watched Luffy pick up his fork and begin to eat the food in front of him.

Usopp was telling Luffy his latest story as he ate his plate of food, and everyone in the restaurant was happily chatting about their delicious dinner or something new they had recently discovered, trying to get Luffy excited, but at this moment Luffy suddenly stopped eating and slammed his head next to his food.

"Luffy?!" everyone shouted in surprise. Normally Luffy would not go to sleep before finishing the food in his hand.

Qi quickly checked Luffy's condition, and when he heard snoring, he immediately understood "Luffy fell asleep."

"But it's weird?" Nami said "He usually doesn't give up his food."

"I think he should go to sleep," Zoro commented, usually a good night's sleep would do the trick.

"Luffy must be too tired from today's battle." Vivi said. After all, they were all very tired today.

"Well, I'll take him to bed." Qi said with a frown. He felt that something was wrong with Luffy's condition today. He shouldn't act so tired because of today's battle.

"When he gets up, I'll make him some extra food." Sanji said as he helped Qi put Luffy on his back, but when he touched Luffy's body, he found something wrong and said puzzledly, "His body is a little hot."

"Wait!" Nami said hurriedly. She felt something was wrong when she heard Sanji's words and said in surprise, "Is he sick?"

"Huh?!" The others looked at Nami in surprise.

"But Luffy has never been sick." Qi said confusedly, he had never experienced it either.

Nami went over and reached out to touch Luffy's forehead "He has a low fever. Let him get some sleep and see if it goes away in the morning."

"Don't you have a ship doctor?" Weiwei asked in surprise.

"We haven't found it yet, but we really need to get a ship doctor on board as soon as possible." Sanji looked at Luffy who was leaning on Qi's back worriedly.

The next morning, after a full night's sleep, Luffy felt a little refreshed, but he still felt very tired, even with a slight pain. After a while, he felt a little dizzy, but it didn't matter, he thought. Luffy had a bright smile on his face, it must be because he hadn't eaten meat today.

"Sanji, meat!" Luffy walked into the kitchen and pestered Sanji for food. Soon the food he needed was placed in front of him. When he ate the fifth plate of meat, he felt full and couldn't eat anymore. Luffy frowned and looked at the meat in the plate in confusion.

Sanji looked at the remaining food on Luffy's plate with some confusion, he usually didn't leave meat "Why don't you eat it, Luffy?"

"I don't want to eat anymore. I feel very full." Luffy said with a frown.
