【One Piece】Dawn in the Darkness

Ace and Luffy disguised themselves and sneaked into the city, intending to sell the bear skin, but they ran into thugs who wanted to rob them. They didn't seem to recognize them. Ace and Luffy smiled at each other, excitedly pulled open their disguise cloaks, and assumed a fighting stance.

"Little brat, hand over the goods in your hands."

Ace smiled brightly and called out to Luffy next to him, "Luffy!"

"Yeah!" Luffy immediately realized what Ace meant and responded.

The two brothers smiled excitedly. Ace jumped up first, twirled the pipe in his hand, and attacked the leading thug. The thug was unable to react in time and was knocked to the ground by Ace in an instant.

Then Luffy smashed another gangster's face with his pipe. The gangster fell to the ground and covered his face in pain. When the other gangsters saw how brutal these two kids were, they turned around and ran away. Luffy and Ace chased after them.

"They are too weak." Luffy said with a grin.

"That's because we've become stronger!" Ace said proudly, and then he ruthlessly plundered the treasures from these gangsters.

"After we sell this bear skin, we'll go eat ramen!" Ace gave Luffy a bright smile.

"Ohhh!! Ramen!!" Luffy shouted excitedly.

"We're back!" Luffy pushed the door open and went in, only to find Dadan and the group of bandits kneeling neatly on one side, feeling something was wrong.

"You're finally back, Luffy, Ace!" Garp said with a grin.

"Grandpa!" Luffy shouted in surprise.

"Stinky old man!" Ace said coldly from behind, "Why are you here?"

"How dare you talk to your grandpa like that, you little brat!" Garp raised his fist angrily and smashed it on Ace and Luffy's head without mercy.

"Bang! Bang!"

Ace and Luffy had visibly large bumps on their heads. Ace looked at Garp. Even though he was afraid of Garp's fist, he still stood in front of Luffy without hesitation, blocking him and protecting Luffy behind him. He angrily shouted to Garp, "You old man, you are not allowed to hit Luffy!"

"Call me grandpa! You little brat!" Karp raised his fist and signaled.

"Grandpa, why are you back?" Luffy asked puzzledly while chewing the meat in his hand.

"Of course it's grandpa coming back to see his adorable grandson!" Karp said while picking his nose.

"He wants to beat us up." Ace complained silently. Every time Garp came back, he would beat them up first.

Garp didn't take Ace's words to heart, he was thinking about the purpose of his coming here.

"Ace! Luffy! Do you want to become stronger?" Garp looked at Luffy and Ace very seriously.

Dawn Island has been discovered, and CP may visit here again at any time. He must transfer these two little guys and make them stronger as soon as possible.

Ace looked at Garp in surprise, not knowing why he suddenly asked this, but looking at the expression on Garp's face, he knew he was serious this time.

"Really? Grandpa, I want to become stronger!" Luffy said happily.

"Old man, what happened?" Ace asked confusedly.

Garp laughed out loud to cover up his mistake, "Hahaha, you two will start the devilish training with me starting tomorrow!"

Ace looked at the smelly old man and noticed that he didn't even ask them to be marines, was it because of what happened before?

"Stinky old man, is he related to the person who came here to ask about Lucci before?" Ace asked directly.

Garp paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "Okay, after you finish eating, go to bed quickly. We will leave tomorrow morning." With that, Garp threw Ace and Luffy into the room where they were to sleep.

Luffy looked at Ace and asked in confusion, "Ace, what were you talking about just now?"

Ace looked at Luffy's big eyes, said nothing, and touched his hair, "Nothing, Luffy, let's go to bed. We don't know what the old man will do tomorrow."

"Yeah," Luffy nodded before jumping on his mattress and getting under the blankets.

Ace followed and laid down on his mat, covered with a blanket, Luffy put his arms around his waist once he was laid down, Ace didn't push him away, he put his hand on Luffy's head and stroked his black hair.

"Ace, I miss Lucci and Sabo." Luffy whispered softly while lying on Ace's chest.

Ace paused, his heart seemed to be pulled, he looked at Luffy's trembling shoulders, he felt heartache, he also missed Sabo and Lucci, Ace's eyes were slightly moist, but as Luffy's only brother, he couldn't show it in front of Luffy, he promised Lucci and Sabo to take good care of Luffy.

"Luffy, I will always be with you." Ace put his hand on Luffy's back and comforted him softly.

"Ace, you promised me that you would never die." Luffy choked slightly.

"Well, I promised you, I will never die. I can't abandon a coward brother like you. I promise you, I will never die, Luffy." Ace said firmly, patting Luffy's back.

"Yeah," Luffy nodded heavily, then slowly fell asleep.

Ace looked at Luffy lovingly as he slept. He recalled the strange look on the old man's face today, and felt that he seemed very sad, but he seemed to want to hide it from us. His sudden return this time seemed to be related to the people who asked about Luffy in the village last time. He knew that the old man might want to protect them. No matter what, he would take good care of Luffy. He could not lose Luffy again. He was his only brother. Ace thought about it and slowly fell asleep.

Garp sensed through his observation Haki that Ace and Luffy were asleep, so he turned to look at Dadan.

"Hi! Mr. Karp!" Dadan was startled by Karp's serious voice.

"I will take Ace and Luffy away tomorrow. They may not come back here for a few years. After we leave, don't mention Ace and Luffy anymore. I have already made arrangements with the village." Garp said seriously.

"I understand." Dadan said in a deep voice.

Garp walked into the room where Ace and Luffy were sleeping, gently picked them up, and walked towards the boat they came in. Garp took the two of them onto the warship, and then asked his deputy to drive the boat.

The next morning, the bandits from Dadan's house found that they did not hear the noise of the two children, so they came to ask Dadan. Dadan looked at the sky that was just getting light, spit out a few circles of eyes silently, looked at the bandits in front of him, and said in a deep voice, "From now on, whether it is Ace or Luffy, even Lucci and Sabo, never mention them again."

"Bang! Bang!"

"You little bastards! Are you still sleeping? Get up now!" Garp waved his fists and hit Ace and Luffy.

"Ah! Grandpa! I've eaten the devil fruit, why is it still painful?" Luffy complained, holding his head.

"You can't defend against the fist of love!" Cap said proudly, clenching his fist in front of his chest.

"Grandpa, where is this?" Luffy quickly ran to the edge of the boat and looked curiously at the endless sea outside.

"Of course it's in the sea." Karp picked his nose and answered as a matter of course.
