【One Piece】Dawn in the Darkness

Ace was shocked and had a bad feeling "Stinky old man! We said we can't become navy!"

"When Garp heard them say this, he habitually wanted to give them a fist of love, but suddenly froze for a moment, then said, "I don't plan to send you to the navy."

"Then why are you..." Ace asked confusedly.

"Didn't we say yesterday that we would have training? Now we are on our way to training." Cap said.

"Grandpa, where are we going?" Luffy asked puzzledly.

"Luffy, I'll take you to meet some friends. They must miss you too!" Garp said with a smile.

"Who is it?" Luffy asked curiously.

"You'll know when you get there," Cap said, and then he opened his arms, took both of his grandsons in his arms, and jumped off the boat, landing on the small boat parked below.

Garp rowed the boat to the shore, Luffy jumped off the boat first, and ran around on the beach. Ace followed Luffy closely to prevent him from running into the sea, and Garp lowered the anchor behind him.

"Ace! Luffy! Come here!" Garp shouted, then held them one in each hand and walked towards the forest.

Ace kept struggling from Garp's grasp and demanded to get down, so Garp put Ace down and asked him to follow him.

When Luffy saw Ace going down, he also struggled to go down and walk by himself. Garp casually let go of his hand and asked the two of them to follow him.

"Ace, Luffy! You will train in this forest from now on. You can only return to Dawn Island when you can defeat all the animals in this forest!" Garp said seriously.

Ace looked at Garp in confusion.

"Ah! What if I miss Dadan and the others?" Luffy asked in confusion, tilting his head.

"Luffy, don't you want to become stronger? As long as you can defeat these animals sooner, I will come to pick you up sooner!" Garp smiled and rubbed Luffy's hair.

"Come on, Luffy!" Garp stopped on a rock, "Just say hello to these monkeys first!"

Garp threw Luffy and Ace into a pile of monkeys and let them attack each other.

Ace and Luffy quickly stood up, holding their pipes up in their usual fighting stances, Luffy yelled as he attacked the monkey first, Ace didn't have time to think, and hurriedly caught up to Luffy, charging forward with him.

Ace and Luffy started to attack the surrounding monkeys back to back. The monkeys formed a formation and gradually separated Ace and Luffy and attacked them separately.

A monkey punched Ace in the chest, and Ace hurriedly blocked it with his pipe. He didn't expect the monkey's fist to be so powerful, and Ace was caught off guard and retreated one meter.

Ace's expression turned serious, these monkeys were very powerful, much stronger than the animals on Dawn Island.

Ace jumped up and raised the pipe in his hand to hit a monkey. The cunning monkey dodged Ace's attack nimbly, jumped to Ace's side and attacked him. Ace gritted his teeth, forced his body to twist and roll to the side, and just as Ace dodged, the monkey's fist hit the position where Ace just stood, and hit the ground with the force. Ace was startled, he looked at the cracked floor and swallowed, luckily he reacted quickly, otherwise if he was hit, he would definitely fall down.

"Damn it! Why is it so hard to beat them!" Ace looked at the smug monkey in front of him angrily. After several rounds, he didn't get any advantage over them at all.

Ace saw from the corner of his eye that Luffy was hit by a monkey and his whole body was knocked back several steps. He immediately shouted in panic, "Luffy!!"

Luffy took a few steps back, steadied himself, and responded to Ace, "I'm fine, Ace!"

Ace saw that Luffy was only slightly injured, and the fear in his eyes subsided, but he was still frightened. "Luffy, be careful!"

Don't get hurt as badly as last time. When Ace thought of this, his eyes darkened, and then he frowned. He thought of something, so he shouted to Luffy, "Luffy, come here!"

"Oh! Ace!" Luffy responded immediately, then frowned. Several monkeys surrounded him. "But these monkeys are very difficult to deal with!"

Ace ran towards Luffy while dodging the monkeys' attacks. Soon Ace came to Luffy's side, with their backs to each other facing the monkeys around them.

Afterwards, the two brothers kept fighting with the monkeys until dusk. The monkeys were beaten and covered in wounds. They gradually lost strength and fell to the ground. The two brothers stopped, and Ace and Luffy lay on the ground with wounds all over their bodies to rest.

"That won't do! You can't even beat a monkey. It looks like I have to teach you personally!" Karp said with a frown.

Ace was a little angry. They had defeated the bears and tigers in the forest, but they didn't expect to be defeated by these monkeys. Although he and Luffy did not lose, it was still a shame to end up in a draw.

"Ace and I have become stronger and stronger. We can defeat the thugs in the city and the bears in the forest!" Luffy shouted unconvinced.

"There's nothing to say about defeating those guys. The enemies you will face in the future will be truly powerful ones. If you keep comparing yourself with those thugs, you will never become strong!" Cap said seriously.

Luffy dropped his shoulders, he realized that what his grandfather said was right, they were still too weak.

Ace stood in front of Luffy, using a protective posture to block Luffy a little, and said unconvincedly, "I can still fight!"

Ace raised his head, stared at Garp and asked seriously, "So what should we do?"

Lucci climbed up the mast and looked at the sea in the distance. He saw something that looked like a tall fountain not far away, and it seemed to be an island. That should be the Water City. His fishing boat should be able to reach the island.

Luqi looked at the island in amazement. The whole island was like a fountain, with water continuously flowing down from the top, forming channels and draining into the sea.

Lucci found a remote dock and parked the boat there. Then he picked up the brown canvas bag on the boat, put on his cloak, and quickly entered the alley after making sure no one could see his face. Lucci looked around and finally walked into a remote alley for some reason. He pouted, as if he was lost. Lucci pushed open the door of a tavern marked on the outside. It was very quiet inside. Lucci walked to the bar and said, "Hello, uncle, can I stay here?"

The man standing behind the bar had a dark green hat that was stained with traces of time, which held down his slightly curly white hair. There was a scar on the left side of his face caused by a knife wound that went through his cheek. He wore a black shirt on his upper body and a dark red jacket with light red lines on the collar.
