Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 10: Snape: It was a close call. I almost went online with my real name.

Most of the freshmen came from Muggle families, and their understanding of magic was only very superficial, which made Harry feel relieved.

After all, not everyone has a family background like Ron and Draco. Even for young wizards from wizard families, they may not be much ahead. The Transfiguration class has already filled these young boys with little experience with the world with a curiosity about magic. Therefore, the Potions class, which does not have a prominent visual effect, does not seem that attractive.

Dudley yawned loudly. He didn't know whether he was like this before he traveled through time or whether Dudley was born with a hatred for knowledge. In any case, he slept soundly in Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class and didn't notice Professor McGonagall's calmness at all. He almost broke his teeth, but could only helplessly deduct two points from Gryffindor.

However, this could not make up for his sleepiness, at least when Snape walked into the Potions classroom like the wind, he saw at a glance the tall figure leaning over the table, almost blocking the view of the students in the back row.

"This course doesn't require you to wave your wand around foolishly or chant spells."

“So, I think many of you won’t understand…”

Just as Snape was about to continue, Dudley's rough shout suddenly rang out, and all the students in the classroom couldn't help but cover their mouths and laugh. Even the suppression brought by Severus couldn't stop them from laughing.

Ron poked Dudley's waist quickly, only to see Dudley mumbling and talking in his sleep as if singing.

"I will beat you with a steel whip!"

The strange tune finally made the students unable to hold back their emotions and they burst into laughter. The Potions classroom was filled with a rare happy atmosphere.

"Wake up!"

Hermione behind him couldn't bear to watch it anymore and patted Dudley on the back. Dudley shivered a bit, then he rubbed his sleepy eyes and sat up straight.

"Ah, what nice weather it is, dear Professor Snape."

When he looked up, he saw that almost distorted sallow face. Dudley was stunned for a moment and greeted him with a smacking mouth.

"It seems that some of you already possessed extraordinary abilities before coming to Hogwarts."

“And have enough confidence.”

"Think you can ignore my lectures."

Slowing down his pace, Severus slowly came in front of Dudley, staring at the young man who made him particularly unhappy with his eyes.

He originally wanted to embarrass Harry. Although this kid had the eyes of his beloved, he was still the descendant of that person. Snape did not have any special feelings for Dudley. However, his lazy look was enough to annoy him.

"Mr. Dudley, our new celebrity."

"Tell me, if you mix narcissus root powder..."

After a little thought, Snape decided to embarrass this attention-seeking boy in an area he was familiar with.

"Some powerful sleeping pill? Potion of the Living Hell, or water of life and death?"

Dudley's voice was very soft, at least compared to his strong muscles and tall stature, it was indeed a little strange.

Severus was stunned. Was he being subjected to Legilimency?

How did this Dursley kid know what he was going to say?

"correct."

"Next time, remember to let the person asking the question finish his or her words."

Students in the classroom blinked their eyes. To be fair, most of them had no idea what that scary-sounding name Dudley mentioned. However, Snape's answer made the Gryffindor students cheer uncontrollably.

"quiet."

Shaking his head vigorously, Snape forced himself to calm down, stopped the noisy students, and turned his attention back to Harry Potter.

"It seems your Muggle cousin has a greater talent than you."

"If I want to find a bezoar, do you know where I can find it?"

He looked deeply into those familiar blue eyes, but that unignorable face made his heart, which had softened a little, become hard and cold.

Harry said nothing, he just shook his head.

"I don't know, teacher."

"What's the difference between Aconitum scaphoides and Aconitum wolfsbane?"

Severus continued to ask aggressively, and even Malfoy, who was at odds with Harry, sensed a hint of tension and looked over here with interest.

Hermione, who was sitting next to Harry, had already raised her hands up like a sapling. Harry glanced at her and continued to shake his head.

"I don't know, teacher."

Snape then stopped questioning and shook his head slightly.

"it's a pity."

"Apparently being famous isn't enough, is it, Mr. Potter?"

The laughter of the Malfoy trio was heard from the other end of the classroom. Harry was about to speak when suddenly Snape's figure was covered by a taller body.

"They are only freshmen, Professor Snape."

"I think this is only the first class of Potions. The freshmen need more basic knowledge."

Snape slowly turned his head and saw that Harry's cousin, the tall, troll-like boy, was looking at him with a smile.

However, at some point, Dudley took off his oversized and thickened plain work robe, revealing the tight sports vest underneath.

And his arms, which were almost as thick as Severus' thighs, had muscles that were bulging with veins.

Although he was also startled, there was no strange expression on Severus' face. He cleared his throat vigorously. After all, he was also an experienced wizard, and he was determined to show this undisciplined Gryffindor student some skills.

"Didn't the Half-Blood Prince back then also start with the most basic knowledge?"

Dudley said this lightly, and Snape's wand froze in mid-air.

The classroom suddenly became quiet.

After a long moment, Snape slowly turned around and put his wand back under his black cloak.

"Five points from Gryffindor for the actions of Dudley Dursley and Harry Potter."

Severus didn't know why he let Dudley Dursley go. When the get out of class was over, he finally remembered that the boy in front of him, his mother, seemed to be called Petunia Dursley?

There was nothing wrong with this surname, but Snape quickly pieced together from his memory the surname of the person he loved most before they got married.

Evans.

Penny Evans?

Lily's sister?

Snape shuddered, suddenly finding himself in need of the unlikely fireplace in the Slytherin common room.

I hope that the boy named Dudley is kinder and, of course, better keep his mouth shut.

Otherwise, the first Slytherin to suffer social failure would appear in the newspapers of the wizarding world.
