Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 113 Dumbledore: I remembered something happy

Soon, Defense Against the Dark Arts became the most popular course among Hogwarts students.

No one cared that Professor Lupine's robes were patched and frayed.

His next few classes were as lively and interesting as the first.

After learning about Boggarts, they learned about Red Caps - ugly little goblin-like creatures that lurked in places where blood had been shed, such as castle dungeons and the tunnels of abandoned battlefields, waiting to attack anyone who strayed with a club.

After the red hats, they moved on to the kaba—aquatic reptile that looked like a scaly monkey with webbed hands, ready to strangle any unsuspecting person who waded through their ponds.

In short, Lupin's lessons were lively and interesting, and even Dudley, who didn't like studying, listened with great interest.

Soon, a month passed and it was early October, and it was time to prepare for the Quidditch match. Harry put on his team uniform and took his broom to listen to Wood's training early.

Because Dudley was a reserve player, he didn't have to participate in various trainings - after all, every player who competed alongside him knew his athletic ability, and even without training, his level was far ahead of everyone else.

It's even possible to do it without a broom.

If there were no position restrictions in Quidditch, Dudley alone would probably be able to play three positions at the same time.

Oliver Wood couldn't help but shake his head and sigh as he imagined the mighty man swinging an iron baseball bat, beating Bludgers, throwing the Quaffle into the goal, and swallowing the passing Golden Snitch.

If only Quidditch had singles events.

So, apart from attending classes and occasionally cooking, Dudley led an easy life.

By the way, Dobby also settled down in Hogwarts and became Dudley's appointed deputy in the kitchen.

Walking in the corridor and greeting Filch who passed by, Dudley had never felt so comfortable at school.

After all, in the first year, he had to face Professor Quirrell, who had a long face behind his head; in the second year, there were the Chamber of Secrets and the giant snake, so this year was definitely the easiest.

You know, even Death Eaters can't avoid the Dementors outside the school and sneak into Hogwarts to cause damage!

After a while, the original constraints turned out to be real protection.

After stretching comfortably, Dudley was about to go downstairs to participate in the club activities, but he saw a figure he hadn't seen for a long time.

Miss Luna Lovegood was sitting on the railing, swinging her calves idly, her pink and tender feet dangling in the air, looking indescribably comfortable.

The first thing Dudley did was look down - the pair of canvas shoes were placed neatly next to him.

"It seems that Miss Lovegood is lucky. Not many people have bullied you this semester."

Dudley walked over with his shoulders swaying.

"Today the wind is nice and the sun is warm."

Luna yawned slightly and waved to Dudley as a greeting.

"A return gift from last time."

Dudley rummaged through his pocket and pulled out a handful of peanut nougat that he had just made in the cafeteria at noon.

"It's great to be able to work with the elves."

Miss Lovegood took the candy without hesitation and chewed it in small bites, looking very pretty.

Looking at the quirky Luna Lovegood in front of him, Dudley couldn't help but start thinking.

I don’t think I’ve really thought about solving the problem of being single!

Although everyone could see Miss Granger's behavior, to the two of them, they were just "extra close friends" and far from being a real couple, so no one broke that layer of window paper.

Of course, this does not mean that Hermione is less charming than Miss Lovegood in front of her. It can only be said that the beauty of the two ladies is not on the same evaluation level.

"What are you thinking?"

Luna's voice whispered and Dudley blinked and smiled.

"Wondering what fun there will be in Hogsmeade on Halloween."

The corners of Miss Lovegood's mouth curved up in curiosity.

"really weird."

"I thought you were the type who wanted to work hard every day."

Dudley didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Is this how I am seen by other people?

But it was indeed the case. At least, the Gryffindor students could see that tall figure sweating profusely while training in front of the French windows every morning, and the wide field near the Quidditch pitch also became a good place for Dudley to do long-distance running.

Almost everyone at Hogwarts knows that there is a student who insists on physical exercise rather than spell practice, and he attends class every day in spring, summer and autumn.

This even motivated some students to join the physical exercise team.

"You need to rest when you need to rest."

Shrugging, Dudley thought of a good topic.

"Did you see the Dementors at the school gate?"

"This is all Cornelius Fudge's fault. You know, he sent a special car to take us to school..."

Miss Lovegood in front of me is obviously not good at chatting with others. If you want to be friends with her, you must be able to find things to talk about.

Luna's eyes lit up when she heard Dudley's sharp comments about the Ministry of Magic.

Not to mention the scene in the corridor, Lupin walked into Dumbledore's office somewhat awkwardly.

"Remus, welcome. I heard that your recent classes are very popular among students."

Dumbledore sat in a large chair and looked gently at Lupin, his former student.

"Professor Dumbledore... I mean, Headmaster, do you know who Dudley Dursley is?"

"You know, in my class, he..."

Lupin quickly described Voldemort in the classroom.

Dumbledore's white beard twitched.

"You... you're laughing?"

"Isn't this kind of thing...very strange?"

Professor Lupin was a little anxious.

"Perhaps, Remus, you don't know yet, but this Dudley Dursley is Harry's cousin."

"And this kid... haha, without any magic power and without any knowledge of the magical world, he urged Hagrid to write to me and asked me to let him enroll in Hogwarts."

As he spoke, Dumbledore couldn't help but sigh.

So many things have happened in the past three years, but it all depends on Dudley's help.

This dispelled his last bit of doubt.

"And my temper—Remus, you know it well."

"You remember the Shrieking Shack, right? The one with the Whomping Willow."

Lupin nodded quickly.

"The Whomping Willow is now Dudley Dursley's boxing sparring partner."

This wizard with werewolf blood finally showed an expression of obvious surprise.
