Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 114: Snape's Careless Lip, Remus' Horror
Since Dudley specifically asked Vernon to sign the form before he left, both Harry and Dudley were able to participate in the event.
The students were looking forward to this time, especially Harry and Ron.
However, there was a small incident - Hermione's cat, Crookshanks, seemed to be particularly disgusted with Ron's pet. Whenever he had the chance, he would pounce on Scabbers, causing the relationship between Ron and Hermione to deteriorate.
Before Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class, Lavender Brown also received news that her rabbit had been killed by a fox.
That day was October 16th.
Although Hermione repeatedly analyzed that the poor bunny had an accident yesterday, Ron had a heated argument with Hermione about Scabbers. Of course, it all ended with Professor McGonagall walking into the classroom.
No one wanted to look embarrassing in front of this strict professor.
Fortunately, the child's temper came and went quickly, and the awkwardness between the two did not last too long.
Time soon came to the Halloween party.
Harry and the others had already boarded the carriage, but Dudley, for the rare occasion, took a nap.
I had a lot of drinks last night. Even though Brother D is so strong, he still woke up two or three hours late. This shows how powerful the drinks in the wizarding world are.
"What about people?"
When he reached the gate, Dudley saw only Filch.
"Just left. How strange! You still get up late one day?"
As the only cleaner in Hogwarts, Filch was undoubtedly the one who went to bed the latest and got up the earliest in Hogwarts. Even he could sigh, and Dudley couldn't help but sigh.
"Can you catch up?"
"I'm afraid you'll have to speed up. Don't you have a broom?"
Filch smiled, which was rare for him. He took the form from Dudley and left the door.
"Then there's no need to rush."
Dudley shrugged, turned and walked towards the common room - he ran down in such a hurry that he didn't even put on his robe. He was just in a vest and shorts. If you didn't know him, you would think he was the landlord of Hogwarts, working as a renter here.
"Dudley? What are you doing?"
As he walked into the corridor, a familiar voice was heard. Dudley looked up and saw Professor Lupin standing at the door of his office, peeking out.
"I forgot to put on my clothes. It seems I don't have time to take a carriage."
Dudley laughed. Since he was going to miss the bus anyway, he might as well chat with Lupin for a while.
"I just received a grindylow, would you like to come in and take a look?"
In the corner of the office, there stands a large aquarium.
A green monster with pointy horns that looked disgusting pressed its face against the glass, making all kinds of weird faces while constantly extending and flexing its long, thin fingers.
"Water monster."
Lupin regarded Grindylow thoughtfully.
"It shouldn't be difficult to deal with it, especially after dealing with Kaba."
"The trick is to break free of its grip. Did you notice how its fingers are incredibly long? Very strong, but brittle and fragile."
As Lupin spoke, the Grindylow bared its green teeth and buried itself in a tangled mass of weeds in the corner of the tank.
"It's naturally going to take some effort to deal with a guy like this underwater."
"But it's not impossible."
Bending his arms, Dudley cheerfully made a gesture of exerting force. His arms, which normally had clear outlines, immediately swelled up, with veins exposed, which made Lupin secretly frightened.
I’m afraid he must have a strength of a thousand pounds!
Not to mention water monsters like the Grindylow, even dangerous giant monsters were dealt with by this guy with just his fists, right?
Even wearing boxing gloves!
This level of achievement is no less than participating in a 100-meter race while wearing heavy shackles like a serious criminal and breaking the world record!
In the wizarding world, it is simply impossible to do.
Curious, Lupin quickly made a pot of tea and invited Dudley to sit down. Dudley did not hesitate and took out some crispy and delicious cookies and desserts from his storage space.
The two chatted while drinking tea. Lupin was particularly interested in the Chamber of Secrets in the school last year. Dudley knew his identity and did not hide it. He told him about how he beat up a giant snake a few months ago and skinned and boned it for a snake meat feast.
"Tuk-tuk."
There was a knock on the door, and a moment later, Snape walked in holding a smoking goblet. Seeing Dudley sitting there, a hint of suspicion flashed in his eyes.
"Ah, Severus, thank you very much, can you put it on the table?"
Daliti took a sniff and found that the wolfsbane potion was not only ugly in appearance but also pungent in taste. However, the herbal flavor was particularly strong and it was still bubbling with activity. It was almost comparable to the "forgetfulness potion" he had brewed last year.
"Wolfsbane potion, right?"
"How does this thing taste?"
Dudley asked cheerfully, rubbing his hands together.
"Dudley? How...how do you know?"
The calm Lupin couldn't help but be shocked.
Except for the school staff, no one knows his identity as a werewolf!
As for the wolfsbane potion, this extremely precious potion with an extremely single use is not even found in mainstream alchemy textbooks!
Lupin didn't notice that Snape turned his head away in embarrassment.
This man is drunk and can say anything.
Especially since Snape was a loner by nature, it was rare for him to have such a "confidant" in school. He wanted to tell Dudley all his life experiences. This kind of thing was naturally just a small episode in their evening cocktail party.
"Oh, don't worry, Professor. I wouldn't say anything about that."
"Just a 'student', simply curious."
Dudley winked and winked at Snape.
Snape curled his lips imperceptibly. It was over. It seemed that the bottle of fire whiskey in his collection could no longer be hidden.
It took Lupin a full half day to calm himself down and he sighed softly.
"I didn't expect your relationship... to be so good."
"Severus, it's not like you to be so close to a Gryffindor student."
"If James were here..."
Hearing this, Snape showed a rare look of anger.
"I think I should leave now."
"If you need anything else, I made a big pot."
After saying that, Snape walked away, slamming the door.
"You really shouldn't have provoked him like that."
Dudley smiled bitterly. It seemed that some traumas and hatreds could not be erased even by time.
"You are such a strange student, Dudley Dursley."
"It seems that you are in the same class as us. Would Severus tell you all these things?"
Lupin's suspicion grew stronger and stronger, and he even reached out inconspicuously and grasped the wand in his robe.
"You have discovered it."
Dudley smiled sheepishly.
Lupin's vigilance was instantly raised to the highest level!
