Reborn Troops
Chapter 7 Eternity
Zhou Wanwan stared at the strange man, she could feel the confidence and determination emanating from him. She knew that he was her only hope.
"What are your plans?" Zhou Wanwan asked anxiously.
The man smiled and said, "First, we have to determine the identity and whereabouts of the thief. I will ask around to see if I can find any clues. And you have to remain vigilant and don't let the thief discover our intentions."
Zhou Wanwan nodded, she understood the importance of this plan. She took a deep breath and told herself to stay calm and patient.
In the next few days, Zhou Wanwan continued to work as usual, but she remained alert at all times. The strange man was asking around the streets and alleys nearby for information about the thief.
Finally, one night, the man found some clues and told Zhou Wanwan that the thief might be a person who roamed the area all year round and often appeared in an abandoned building nearby.
"We have to act quickly," the man said. "Tomorrow night, we will go to the abandoned building together, catch the thief, and take back your money. But remember, we have to be careful and don't let him find out where we are."
Zhou Wanwan clenched her fists tightly, and looked at the man with gratitude, her heart full of determination. She knew that this was her last chance.
The next night, Zhou Wanwan and the strange man came to the abandoned building. They hid in the dark and observed the situation in the building.
“He should be inside,” the man whispered, “We have to wait for the right moment to go in and catch him.”
Zhou Wanwan stared at the door of the building, her heart beating faster and a tense atmosphere filled the air.
Suddenly, the door of the building opened and a thin figure walked out. Zhou Wanwan could hardly recognize him because he had changed his clothes and wore a hat low on his head.
"That's him!" Zhou Wanwan said excitedly.
The man gently held Zhou Wanwan's hand and signaled her to stay calm. They followed the thief's footsteps and arrived at a quiet alley.
The man suddenly stopped, looked at the thief's back, and said, "Now is the time for us to act. Remember, we must catch him quickly and accurately, and don't give him any chance to react."
Zhou Wanwan nodded, and she tightly grasped the steel pipe that the man handed to her. She felt her palms were a little wet, but she had no intention of backing down.
The two men approached the thief quietly, and when they were about to take action, the thief suddenly turned back with a hint of alertness in his eyes.
"Who are you? Why are you following me?" the thief asked sternly.
Zhou Wanwan and the man looked at each other in surprise. They didn't expect that the thief would actually discover their presence.
"We are here to recover what I lost," Zhou Wanwan said firmly, "You stole my hard-earned money, and now I want to take it back!"
The thief sneered, took out a sharp knife, and said sarcastically: "You also want to fight me? Then let me see how capable you are!"
"Don't move!" Zhou Wanwan shouted coldly, and she couldn't help but recall the fighting skills she had learned over the years.
The thief was startled by her voice, but soon regained his composure. He waved the knife in his hand, stared at Zhou Wanwan viciously and said, "Let me go, or I will stab you to death!"
Zhou Wanwan sneered and stepped forward fearlessly. She had sharp eyes and agile movements. She accurately judged the direction of the thief's attack and quickly dodged his blade. Then, before the thief could react, Zhou Wanwan suddenly attacked and hit the thief's chest with a palm force as fast as lightning.
The thief stepped back in pain, looking at Zhou Wanwan in surprise, not expecting this seemingly weak girl to have such superb martial arts skills. But he was not willing to fail, he rushed forward again, holding the knife tightly with both hands, trying to give Zhou Wanwan a fatal blow.
Zhou Wanwan dodged the thief's blade by leaning sideways. She kicked the thief's hind legs mercilessly. The thief fell to the ground in pain and couldn't move. Zhou Wanwan looked at him and sneered: "You still want to kill me? Ridiculous!"
The thief shouted for help, but the pedestrians around him stood by and no one dared to help. Zhou Wanwan watched this scene indifferently. She knew the indifference and helplessness of society. However, she was not discouraged and was determined to bring the thief to justice.
Just then, a uniformed policeman came over. Zhou Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that her efforts had not been in vain. The police tied up the thief and recovered Zhou Wanwan's wallet. Zhou Wanwan happily took the wallet, and every penny in it represented her hope for her brother's future.
"Thank you, Mr. Policeman!" Zhou Wanwan expressed her gratitude to the policeman.
The policeman smiled and said, “You did a good job, young man. However, I advise you to be careful. This world is not always so beautiful.”
Zhou Wanwan nodded, took the money in her hand, and prepared to pay for her brother's tuition...
