Rocot: Reborn

"Locked?!" Dr. Li exclaimed, looking at the blood-soaked man in front of her in disbelief. It wasn't that she was kind and soft-hearted, but the meaning of the three words "Locked" was too heavy, heavy enough to make her throw away her fear and even forget to breathe.

The man standing in front of her had a face covered in blood and dust. His once sharp eyes were now filled with fatigue and pain. His clothes were tattered, as if he had been through a brutal battle. But his cold eyebrows and the hint of evil smile at the corner of his mouth proved that he was the once powerful king of the night - Rocot.

"Is it really you? You are not..." A young researcher couldn't help but speak, but closed his mouth under Dr. Li's sharp gaze.

"Why, are you disappointed to see me still alive?" Roccod sneered, his tone full of undisguised sarcasm. He struggled to stand up straight, looked around, and finally his eyes fell on the flashing red alarm light on the console. A trace of anxiety flashed in his eyes, "Don't turn it off... Hurry... Stop it..."

"Stop? Are you kidding me? Do you know what you are saying?" Dr. Li suppressed his inner shock and asked sternly. This time-space tunnel is connected to a very dangerous place. If you are not careful, it will trigger time-space turbulence and drag the whole world into an abyss of no return!

“I know! I know where it is connected to, and I know what it means!” Rocot screamed, and his violent coughing made him spit out blood again, “But now, you must trust me and cannot close it!”

"Believe you? Why?" Dr. Li sneered, his eyes full of suspicion and vigilance. In the past, Roccod was known for his insidiousness and cunningness. Who knows if he is acting in this weak look now? Who knows what his purpose is in coming back here?

"Why? Just because..." Roccod suddenly stopped, took a deep breath, and seemed to be trying to suppress something. After a moment, he raised his head, his eyes became extremely sharp, and he said word by word, "Just because... it is connected to - destruction!"

There was a dead silence in the control room, and everyone was stunned by Rokod's words. Destruction? What does this mean? Could it be that at the other end of the time tunnel, there is a terrifying existence that can destroy the entire world?

Just when everyone was in doubt, the alarm on the console suddenly became more shrill, the data on the screen began to jump wildly, and the entire control room shook violently, as if it would collapse at any time.

"Oh no! The space-time tunnel is about to collapse!" a researcher shouted in horror.

Dr. Li's face turned pale, and she realized that the situation had reached a critical point. Should she trust Roccod and gamble the fate of the entire world? Or should she close the time tunnel immediately, but it might trap the only man who knew the truth in that unknown dangerous place forever?

"Doctor! What should we do?!" The researchers looked at Dr. Li anxiously, waiting for her final decision.

Dr. Li bit his lips tightly, his eyes moving back and forth between Rockwood and the console, his heart in a dilemma.

At this moment, a deafening explosion suddenly came from outside the control room. The entire control room shook violently and the lights on the ceiling began to flicker.

"Damn! Someone's invading!" a researcher exclaimed.

"Their target is... the time tunnel!" Another researcher pointed at the surveillance screen, his face becoming extremely ugly.

On the screen, a group of people wearing black combat uniforms and holding high-tech weapons were rushing madly towards the control room. Wherever they passed, gunshots rang out and blood and flesh flew everywhere. It was like hell on earth.

"Who are they?" Dr. Li was shocked and angry. She had never thought that someone would dare to break into this heavily guarded research institute.

"Yes... yes..." A researcher pointed at a figure on the screen with a trembling hand, his voice full of fear, "It's the Obsidian Legion! It's Rocot's... army!"
