Rocot: Reborn

The chaos was like an invisible wave, beating the crowd into pieces. Rocco pulled Alicia along, weaving through the crowd like a slippery loach, always finding gaps to avoid the panicked crowd.

"Let me go! Where are you taking me?!" Alicia was dragged by Rocot and ran. Her high heels made a "tapping" sound on the ground, which was out of tune with the noisy environment around her.

Rocot turned a deaf ear to him. His hawk-like eyes were fixed on the short and fat man, like a cheetah waiting for the best opportunity to hunt.

"Damn it! Why are there so many people in this damn place!" The short and fat man was panting. His fat body looked particularly clumsy in the crowd. While cursing, he desperately pushed the people blocking his way.

A cold arc appeared on Locke's lips. He had expected that a pampered guy like the short and fat man would never gain any benefit in such a chaotic scene.

"Rocot, what are you going to do?! Let me go, I want to go back!" Alicia struggled hard. She didn't understand why Rocot wanted to drag her into this chaos.

"Shut up!" Rocot spat out these two words coldly, with unquestionable majesty in his tone.

Alicia was stunned for a moment. She had never seen Rocot be so cold. His eyes seemed as if he was looking at a stranger, an unimportant person.

Her heart seemed to be tightly grasped by an invisible hand. An inexplicable grievance surged into her heart. Alicia's eyes were misty, but she still forced herself not to let the tears fall.

She didn't understand why Rocot had become such a different person in such a short time.

There was a loud bang and a scream broke out in the crowd. Roccod was quick-witted and pulled Alicia behind him. With a spin, he hid behind a huge load-bearing pillar.

"What's going on?!" Alicia asked in shock, her face pale.

"Someone fired a gun." Rocot's expression was solemn and his tone was cold, as if he was talking about something that had nothing to do with him.

Alicia followed Rocot's gaze and saw several bodyguards in black holding guns and confronting another group of people not far away.

There was a man lying on the ground, with blood spreading from under his body, which was particularly dazzling under the colorful lights.

"They are coming for that man." Rocot retracted his gaze and said calmly.

Alicia followed Rocot's gaze and saw the short and fat man hiding in a corner, shivering. The metal suitcase in his hand fell to the ground, and the things inside were scattered all over the floor.

"That's..." Alicia covered her mouth in surprise. She recognized that those things scattered on the ground were crystals shining with faint blue light.

"Energy core..." A trace of greed flashed in Rocot's eyes, but it quickly disappeared and he returned to his usual calm.

"Locked, let's go. It's too dangerous here." Alicia pulled Locked's sleeve, with a hint of pleading in her tone.

Roccod looked down at Alicia, a complex emotion flashed in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared. He gently patted the back of Alicia's hand and said gently, "Don't be afraid, I'm here, nothing will happen."

His tone was so gentle, so reassuring, as if everything was under his control. Alicia's heartbeat involuntarily accelerated a few beats, and a blush appeared on her cheeks.

However, at this moment, Rocot's eyes suddenly became sharp, and he suddenly pulled Alicia behind him. At the same time, a black shadow fell from the sky, and the sharp blade in his hand stabbed straight into Rocot's chest.

"Be careful!" Alicia exclaimed and closed her eyes subconsciously.

There was a crisp sound of metal collision, but the expected pain did not come. Alicia opened her eyes carefully, only to see a dagger firmly against Rocot's chest, less than one centimeter away from his heart.
