Rocot: Reborn
Chapter 41
A green light flashed across a dark and damp underground laboratory.
Roccod's figure suddenly appeared, as if he was suddenly thrown here by time and space, and came to the realm of another world without any trace.
However, before the dizziness of time and space transmission completely dissipated, a sudden severe headache almost made Roccod faint. He clenched his teeth, supported himself with one hand, and slowly opened his eyes after a long while, looking at the world in front of him.
This is a world full of vitality, so vibrant that even in a laboratory a thousand meters underground, one can feel the vigorous breath of life outside, making people wonder whether they are still within the scope of the earth at this moment.
Locot looked around and found that the laboratory was empty. It made sense. A test subject like him would be no different from an ant in the eyes of the masters. Even if the experiment was successful, he would only be pulled out and turned into an object of appreciation.
However, we should leave here first. Rocot stood up and walked slowly towards the door. He seemed to be the only one in this laboratory, but it was not certain outside.
He pushed open the heavy iron door, stepped onto the thick wool carpet, and walked along a long corridor towards another exit of the laboratory.
Roccod found that this place seemed to be deliberately hidden. Not only did it not have a window, but even the ventilation system was completely isolated, and the indoor temperature was controlled only by the central main system. The walls were also polished like a mirror, and there was not even a handle to grab.
However, this layout is quite convenient. Roccod observed the surrounding environment while thinking: "According to the "Records of Strange Events", in the ancient times when technology and magic coexisted, there was a very mysterious creature. They fed on light and could also emit light..."
He said to himself, "Could it be that their technology is still used here?"
Just as Roccod was about to take a few more steps forward, he suddenly felt the ground tremble. Roccod was slightly startled, and quickly hid behind an iron cabinet and listened attentively.
“Boom boom—”
A deafening roar of engines came through the soil thousands of meters underground, making Roccod seem to see a group of giants speeding across the ground. He thought to himself, "Could it be that some master discovered that I had escaped and sent a machine to catch me back?"
Anyway, this was not a place to stay for long, so Rocot decided to leave immediately. He looked around and found that the exit was the closest, so he quickly ran towards the bright secret door. But at this moment, several strange creatures appeared out of nowhere and blocked his way.
These strange creatures, like insects magnified countless times, have a pair of transparent wings and a metallic coat shining with a pale blue light behind them. They have no faces and just stand there mechanically.
Roccod immediately became alert. He slowly approached one of them and found that the creature did not seem to have any aggressive reaction. He immediately felt relieved: "It's just a few dead mechanical frames. It's no big deal."
Then Roccod turned his gaze to the chests of the machines and found some patterns marked on them.
"I see. Are they marking the boundaries?" Roccod thought to himself, "Will I be attacked if I touch them in their territory? They are really strange creatures. However, the photon energy they emit can be extracted..."
He made up his mind, walked closer to the bodies of the creatures, placed his hands on their shells, and began to extract the energy of the light.
"Buzz——"
However, at this moment, there was a shrill buzzing sound all around, and Locot felt attracted by an irresistible force, as if his soul was forcibly pulled out, and then a feeling of dizziness surged into his heart.
After an unknown amount of time, Locot slowly opened his eyes, and in front of him was a crystal column that was glowing with light and emitting an extremely soft white light. His entire body felt extremely comfortable, as if he was bathing in a divine glow.
"Welcome back, Subject 8521." A voice sounded in my head, as if blending into the white mist. "You are about to get a new life. I will give you the opportunity to reinvent yourself."
Locot stood there in a daze. He slowly stretched out his hand and tried to touch the ball of light, but his hand seemed to pass through an invisible barrier and touched the white ball inside.
"Reinventing myself?" Rocot muttered. "No... I already have my own identity."
"Could this be 'their' power?" He suddenly understood something. "No wonder they were sealed into the abyss in ancient times because they were too powerful. And now, 'they' have chosen to descend through experimental subjects. This may be my only chance of winning..."
Rocot suddenly grinned, then closed his eyes and let the white light envelope him.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself lying on a big soft bed.
What surprised him even more was that everything in the room seemed so tiny; even the bed he was lying on was only the size of a small wooden bed.
"What's going on?" Rocot looked at his tender, rosy hands. "And why am I here?"
He suddenly found that his body was as fragile as a newborn baby, which made him feel a little at a loss.
"I don't know either, but they must have some intention!" Rocot said firmly.
He suddenly noticed that there was an open space in the center of the laboratory, where there seemed to be a special magical fluctuation.
Rocot walked down, and as soon as he stepped onto the open space, a dazzling light enveloped him.
"This is it!" Rocot's face changed and he was very surprised.
This was a major event in his life, and his future changed completely from that moment on.
A great voice exploded in Rocot's soul: I am the God of Time...
The sound gradually faded away, and Rocot was plunged into silence.
He took a deep breath, slowly closed his eyes, and concentrated his mind to the limit. Deep in his mind, a voice echoed: Your mental power is very strong, but it still needs to be tempered to reach the true peak!
This is an old voice, like a huge sound coming from ancient times, full of a simple and desolate atmosphere.
"I feel your doubt, I feel your fear, I feel your confusion, I feel your anger..." The old voice kept echoing in Roccod's mind: "Your power can already change the entire planet and even the entire universe, and I will give you even more powerful power..."
"Me?" A thought came to Roccod's mind. He could feel that he was communicating with something, what was it?
Roccod couldn't help but feel a little excited, but he still remained calm and waited for the guidance of the voice.
The voice pondered for a moment, then said: "I am time, space, the future, the past, and the present. If you want to control time, you must master the power of time and space. If you want to control space, you must master the power of time and space."
"Space?" Locot was shocked. He didn't expect that he would have such a great opportunity. He could gain control over the future, past and present. As long as he wanted, he could even become a God of Creation.
But there is a prerequisite for this existence, that is, he must control this power.
"How do you control this power?" the voice suddenly asked.
"How can I control all this?" Roccod was puzzled. He was just a mortal. How could he control the power of gods and demons? He couldn't help but have an idea in his mind: "Can I control this power?"
"You can do it!"
Rocot shouted in his heart: I can do it!
"Yes, you can!" the voice responded in his soul.
Rocot took a deep breath and calmed himself down.
He has decided that he wants to control this power!
"I want to change this world into what I want it to be!" Rocot said firmly.
A trace of determination flashed through Locot's heart. He wanted to become the master of this world!
He wants to take the fate of this world into his own hands!
"So, what are you going to do?" the voice sounded again.
"I want to create a perfect world!" Rocot replied.
"A perfect world?" the voice said doubtfully.
"Yes, a world without any strife, pain, or death," Rocot explained.
"This is impossible!" the voice denied flatly.
"Nothing is impossible!" Rocot retorted. "If I had enough power, I could create such a world!"
"Power can indeed change the world, but the perfect world you want does not exist." The voice said with a sigh.
"Why?" Rocot demanded.
"Because this world is imperfect, it is full of sin, pain and death. If you want to create a perfect world, you must destroy the current world and create a new world," the voice explained.
