Li Xueyue tried not to think about Madam Ge Beining, but she felt a little uncomfortable. She couldn't determine the specific problem. It was hard to explain. While she was lost in thought about Madam Ge Beining's identity, Li Xueyue almost bumped into someone.

"Be careful, Princess Li." A concerned voice reached out to support her.

Li Xueyue raised her head. She was a little surprised to see Lu Tianbi. The last time she saw Lu Tianbi was on her wedding night.

"Are you okay?" Lu Tianbi asked, not knowing what distracted the princess. Fortunately, she reacted early, otherwise there would have been an unexpected collision.

"Oh, yes, I was just thinking about one thing." Li Xueyue said.

Lu Tianbi nodded in response. She looked around, searching for an irritating face. To her relief, no one saw it. What happened to Xu Jiaqi? Seeing the princess's embarrassment, Lu Tianbi no longer had to guess.

"So, Princess, what's going on in your mind?" Lu Tianbi asked politely. "Maybe I can help you."

Li Xueyue hesitated. Although Lu Tianbi was always friendly and kind, she was still one of Yu Zhen's friends. If Li Xueyue asked a palace maid casually, would he look down on her?

Seeing the obvious unwillingness on the princess' pale face, Lu Tianbi smiled knowingly.

"Don't worry, Princess. My lips are sealed."

Lu Tianbi wanted to know what was so urgent that it needed to be kept secret. But then again, Princess Li seemed to be the kind of person who thought too much about everything. She had witnessed such things more than once, and they all happened in the forest behind the Li family manor.

"Today, I met the queen." Li Xueyue finally said. "I met a new maid, her name is Ge Beining."

Lu Tianbi's eyes were full of understanding. There was no doubt that the princess was frightened by Ge Beining. Who wouldn't be? She was one of the most beautiful women in the capital. To deny her beauty was to deceive oneself.

Many men courted Miss Ge Bening, but none of them succeeded. But she did not reject them outright, but provided them with legitimate excuses. But Lu Tianbi never knew the real reason.

"Yes, she is the only child of the late Madam Jing." Lu Tianbi said. "Because Madam Jing is the Queen's closest friend, there is no doubt that Madam Ge Beining is favored by the Queen."

"And there was a moment—" Lu Tianbi interrupted herself. No, it's better not to mention this part.

"In any case," she said, clearing her throat. "It's best not to offend Mrs. Ge Beining. She has a way with words."

Li Xueyue nodded. "I thought I was the only one who noticed..."

Lu Tianbi's smile softened with sympathy. It was hard for her not to tell the truth, especially to someone as defenseless as the princess.

The princess should learn about the cruel reality of the palace. But then again, this would put too much pressure on her.

"Once," Li Xueyue said. She decided not to beat around the bush.

"Is Madam Ge Bening interested in the prince?" Li Xueyue asserted.

Lu Tianbi's smile disappeared. This was not a question she needed to answer. "Perhaps it would be better to ask His Royal Highness the Crown Prince."

Li Xueyue didn't even need to say anything more. The answer was clear. It seemed that the real opponent of the palace had already stood up. Xu Jiaqi and the other palace maids were just bait.

“My guess was wrong,” Li Xueyue said with a smile. After noticing that the atmosphere was becoming too awkward for her liking, she waved her hand to stop the live broadcast.

"No offense, Princess Li, don't worry." Lu Tianbi said immediately. She didn't want to upset the princess in any way. God knows the prince will kill that person.

"Besides, Princess Li." Lu Tianbi said. "The prince's attention is only on you. As long as he only has eyes for you, it doesn't matter who likes him."

Lu Tianbi's words went in one ear and out the other. Li Xueyue knew this very well, but she was still a little worried. She was not worried that someone else would take Yu Zhen away.

Li Xueyue just wanted to spend the rest of her life in peace and stability in the palace. The only way to do that was to remove all the weeds that stood in the way.

"This is not my concern, but thank you for your advice." Li Xueyue smiled gratefully and turned her head to the side.

"It's late," she said. "I don't want to distract you."

Lu Tianbi regretted her words a little. She had already made an assumption. She nodded nervously and bowed.

"See you next time, Princess Li."

After meeting Lu Tianbi, Li Xueyue decided to return to her estate. She wanted a quiet place to gather her thoughts and write down her ideas for the improvements to Hanjian. Eventually, she returned to her bedroom and continued to jot down her thoughts.

Li Xueyue was so engrossed that she didn't notice the setting sun or the maids running around in the corridor.

Everyone was desperate and in a hurry. They were trying to find the Crown Princess who hadn't shown up all afternoon.

"And it's done!" Li Xueyue held up the parchment and breathed a sigh of relief.

While she worked, the servants standing at the door breathed a sigh of relief. They had been standing for a while and were eager to stretch their legs.

"It's been so long..." she muttered.

Li Xueyue rubbed her sore shoulders and stretched her neck.

The maids saw that the princess was exhausted and rushed forward. They began to massage her tired shoulders, their eyes widening with shock. There were so many knots in the princess' muscles!

"It feels so good." Li Xueyue praised. Her body relaxed. She sighed again, enjoying the maids' magical fingers.

The people in the corridor had been panicking until someone noticed the light coming from the Crown Princess's manor. Not long after, a servant ran back to report to the Crown Prince.

"Please fill the teapot." Li Xueyue ordered an idle maid.

The maid bowed in response.

"As you wish, Princess," she said. The maid quietly slipped out of the door to carry out the Princess's orders.

Meanwhile, Li Xueyue leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. She succumbed to the pleasant feeling of the massage. It was desperately needed. The maid even massaged her hands and fingers.

Although there were quite a few servants in the Li Mansion, none of them thought of giving Li Xueyue a massage. Of course, they had no reason to do so. She was still young and didn't really need it.

Li Xueyue had kept her eyes closed when the door opened. She debated whether to fall asleep on the spot. But the tea would be wasted, wouldn’t it?

"Put it on the table." Li Xueyue instructed the maid.

"Get out," he demanded.

The cold voice made Li Xueyue's eyes snap open. The massage stopped, just like the rest of the world. Standing at the door of the bedroom was Yu Zhen. His lips were pursed and his brows were furrowed. His eyes were burning.

It didn’t take a genius to figure out the obvious—the prince was furious.
