Li Xueyue sat up straight. Who wouldn't? Yu Zhen's anger was not to be taken lightly—even if it happened every day.

"Go," she ordered the maids.

Everyone rushed out of the bedroom like a flock of startled birds. The door closed behind them. The room was silent. The anger boiling on the surface overshadowed the confusion.

Li Xueyue continued to sit, not knowing what was going on. She raised her eyebrows curiously, waiting patiently for him to lose his temper with her.

"What are you thinking about?" he finally said. His voice was barely above a whisper. He was so angry that he didn't even dare to look at her.

"I-"

"You didn't even think about it, did you?"

Li Xueyue was stunned. She opened her mouth wide in shock at his words.

“Can we take this conversation back?” she said carefully. “Because I’m confused.”

Yu Zhen narrowed his eyes at her. His fingers clenched into fists. At this time, she was still sitting there like a fool. He couldn't believe that she was acting so boldly. The least she could do was to stand up and talk to him.

"Of course you are," he blurted out.

At this point, Li Xueyue's patience completely collapsed. She stood up with an angry look on her face. "Yu Zhen, what's wrong with you? You broke into my manor and scolded me with what words?"

"Your stupidity."

Li Xueyue held back her sarcasm at his words. "Being vague won't help, it will only make things more confusing."

"Let me see," he whispered, and was relieved to see there were no bruises.

Li Xueyue gritted her teeth. She finally understood how he dealt with her frustration. He must have felt the same way when she refused to get to the point quickly during their arguments.

"Is that how you treat your wife?" she retorted.

"I've been trying to finalize my idea all day so I can show it to you as soon as possible. And the first thing you do when you come in is insult me."

"No, I don't want to talk to you, get out."

"You can't make me leave the palace I own."

Li Xueyue looked up and glared at him. Oh, so he wanted to play like this. She let out a cynical laugh. It lacked humor.

She picked up the parchment and rolled it up. She shrugged, pushed past him, and headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" he growled.

Li Xueyue ignored him. She suddenly opened the door and strode out.

Before she could go out, he grabbed her shoulders and turned her around. "Don't leave me—"

"What else? You're going to punish me? Throw me in jail? Keep attacking me with your words? What will His Highness do?"

Yu Zhen was already furious. She just liked to frustrate him even more, didn't she?

Before Li Xueyue could say anything, his lips were pressed hard against hers. She tried to break free, but he forced her against him. Her breasts pressed against his chest, and he could feel all her curves.

When Yu Zhen finally released her mouth, his eyes moved to her neck. He kissed that spot, bit it, and then sucked on that spot - marking her as his.

What he didn't see during this thrilling moment: She swung her hand as she hit him in the face.

His patience failed him. He reached out to grab her, and then he saw it. Tears. Hatred. Fear.

"I've had enough." Li Xueyue hissed.

Before the tears could fall, Li Xueyue turned and walked away. She never looked back. Not even when his eyes burned a hole in her skull.

Li Xueyue continued to move forward until she reached the palace stables. The people at the scene were stunned when they saw her. She did not give them a reason.

Li Xueyue looked around the stables. "Black Moon," she called out. Suddenly, a rumbling sound was heard.

Heiyue became restless when he heard his master's voice. He was resting and chewing hay lazily, but his heart skipped a beat when he heard her voice. It had been a few days since he last saw her.

"Here you go," Li Xueyue said, trying her best to suppress the anger that was about to show in her voice.

“You live a very luxurious life,” Li Xueyue commented, noting the size of her stable and its ample resources.

"Princess, your hands!" a servant pleaded after seeing her pick up the heavy saddle.

"No need," Li Xueyue said. She covered Heiyue's back with a blanket and adjusted the saddle for him.

Li Xueyue led the horse out of the stable, ignoring the curious and worried looks of the servants. Dusk was approaching. What was the Crown Princess doing here so late? Where was she going?

Before anyone could protest, Li Xueyue had already mounted the horse. It was difficult to do so because her legs were entangled in her long skirt. But she managed to climb up.

"Let's go," she said, and Black Moon began to jog.

Soon the horse was out of the stable, eager to feel the grass on his hooves. Every day, he was taken out for exercise, but nothing could compare to the stimulation his master gave him.

Li Xueyue urged Heiyue to walk faster. Eventually, his slow walk turned into a jog, and then a sprint. She galloped until the palace became a blur.
