Reborn Daughter: The Young Lady Wants to Make a Trouble

When a young woman stepped out of the huge Li carriage accompanied by the capital's notorious twins, whispers spread like fire.

"Oh my god, who is that person?"

"Does any noble have a daughter like this?"

The mothers carefully gave each other permission behind their fans, their eyes never leaving the large carriage that could accommodate ten people.

Meanwhile, the daughters whispered with curiosity and a hint of menace. They were unsure whether the young woman was a useful chess piece or a knight keeping them from getting to the twins.

"Xiaoyue, let me help you down." Seeing her staring at the small steps in front of the carriage, Li Wenmin said, trying not to smile.

"There are stairs for a reason," Li Chenyang pointed out, but he offered her a helping hand. Her brother rolled his eyes, a smug smile on his face, and Xueyue politely refused his hand and stepped out of the carriage on her own.

"Thank you," she said desperately.

"Don't thank people who didn't do anything." Li Chenyang shook his head at her naivety and walked over to his parents who got off the carriage first. He was sulking because she no longer needed his help.

Li Wenmin's shoulders shook with laughter, but he stopped laughing when he saw how many pairs of eyes were fixed on Xueyue. She was too busy observing the colorful tents and beautiful decorations in the sky to notice those eyes.

Li Wenmin approached Xueyue and helped her button up the traditional knotted shawl. He hesitated about throwing something to cover her face, but he knew she would throw a punch at him if he did. Slowly but surely, over the past two years, her lively side had finally emerged.

He wasn't sure whether he should laugh or cry at her antics.

King Li Chenyang also noticed the inquiring eyes focused on them. He cleared his throat, and in an instant, the guards surrounded Xueyue. They were like a thick barrier, surrounding her and preventing others from looking at her for even a second.

"Child, stay away from us. If you want to leave, take your guards with you." King Li Chenyang said to her calmly, and she nodded immediately.

"All right," she responded, turning her gaze from the colorful tassels hanging in the air to the solemn Duke, who smiled a little in recognition.

"Let's go to the tent now," he said, and then turned to his wife with a warm smile. "It's warm in there. I had the servants clean the charcoal before we got here."

Duchess Li Qixing glanced at the fully armed guards around Xueyue. She snorted, "I think the guards are unnecessary. They are there to keep her out of sight of her suitors."

"Ok."

“Great.”

The twins responded at the same time, much to their mother's dismay. The Duchess opened her mouth to reply, but the Duke pulled her away.

Li Wenmin and Li Chenyang followed behind them as if nothing had happened. Although it was not obvious, they were protecting Xueyue and not letting her be discovered.

However, Xueyue didn't notice at all the heavy and curious gazes focused on her. She continued to look around curiously, but because of the human barrier, she couldn't see much.

As they watched them disappear into the distance, the crowd's whispers began to rise again.

"Do you think she is the famous daughter of Master Li and the princess who has been hiding for many years?"

An old woman shook her head slowly. "This young woman only looks like the Duke. There is not a trace of the Duchess on her face. It is said that their daughter Minghua looks amazingly like her parents, in more ways than one."

“Well, as you age, your appearance changes,” someone tried to argue, but was ignored by another excited mother.

"Should we introduce our son to Princess Li and that young woman? They can give birth to such a beautiful child!"

The old woman from before hummed. "That's impossible. Have you seen her? It would be a miracle if she didn't have a fiancé."

Li Wenmin's eyes became serious when he heard the whispers in his ears. He frowned and pulled Xueyue closer to him, even though she was squeezed between the twins.

Together they walked towards the velvet-lined navy tent that was closest to the royal golden tent.

All of the tents were arranged in a slightly curved formation, but they were spread out sufficiently to allow each family to have enough privacy before heading to the play area to keep an eye on their children.

The closer the tent is to the royal family, the richer and more powerful these families are. To the right of the royal golden tent is the Li family, and to the left of the golden tent is the Wen family.

As Xue Yue approached the tent, she finally heard the whispering. She noticed that many of the nobles looked at her with curious and shy eyes as they talked to each other. When they noticed her gaze, they quickly looked away.

"Why are they staring?"

"Because they are nosy and it has nothing to do with your life, just ignore them." Li Chenyang replied immediately and led her into the tent, where warmth immediately enveloped her.

Lord Li Chenyang and Duchess Li Qixing went to meet the royal family first. Normally, parents would bring their children with them, but Lord Li didn't want to attract the children's attention. So, they decided to let the children introduce themselves later.

"Turn on the heating, it's not hot enough." Li Wenmin nodded to the servants in the big tent. There was a furnace, a polished table, and enough chairs to accommodate the entire Li family.

"This will warm you up faster." Wenmin doted on her and put two freshly baked big buns in her hands.

Xueyue stared at Baozi and suddenly felt embarrassed.

If she ate like a glutton, wouldn't that be unladylike and inappropriate? Most noble ladies were supposed to eat in small bites. But Xueyue sat there like a lost bunny, holding two huge buns in her hands.

Under everyone's gaze, she hesitated and took a bite of the bun reluctantly.

Li Wenmin turned his head to look at the servant, and the servant immediately pulled down the curtain of the tent.

"Eat as usual and ignore other people's looks." Li Wenmin patted her head and grabbed a bun and stuffed it into his mouth, indicating that he didn't care about their public image.

Xueyue soon ate as usual.

Li Chenyang watched her eat and finally smiled. She returned to normal and her shoulders finally relaxed a little.

“I’ll be right back.” Li Chenyang nodded to Li Wenmin before walking out of the tent. The moment he did so, he attracted the attention of all the women.

Li Chenyang went to the archery range to check his sentry post and equipment. As he was about to walk back, he smelled the familiar aroma of glutinous rice balls[1]. He followed the scent and saw several servants carrying trays filled with bowls of piping hot glutinous rice balls, walking towards the tents.

Just as he approached the servant to get the bowl, a group of girls came towards him. The strong smell of perfume immediately floated into his nose, and his lips drooped.

"Greetings, Second Young Master Li." Ning Huabing, the "leader" of the group of girls, stepped forward and bowed gracefully.

Li Chenyang snorted, and Ning Huabing raised her head. He was polite, but the look in his eyes when he looked at her was closed.
