Reborn Daughter: The Young Lady Wants to Make a Trouble

Duke Li followed his servant to the edge of the forest. With every step he took, his heart suddenly became uneasy. For some reason, he suddenly felt a little irritable and nervous, as if something was wrong.

He tried to push these thoughts aside, but every few seconds he would think of them. He tried to focus on the footsteps of the servants who were guiding him to the location they mentioned.

As King Li bent down and approached the girl, the uneasy feeling came back. He frowned and put the thought aside.

King Li took a breath and prepared himself for what he was about to see. But he never in a million years thought he would witness what he saw. As he pulled the leaf back, he felt his breath catch in his throat. His eyes were wide and his hands were shaking.

He was greeted by a girl with closed eyes, bloody eyelids, pale blue lips and pale skin. But that wasn't the most surprising thing about her. It was her resemblance to his daughter.

The servants nearby all gasped. Some covered their mouths in surprise, and everyone showed the same surprised expression. They also saw the similarities between this girl and their young lady.

"MM-Minghua?" He trembled as he called out his daughter's taboo name. He never dared to mention this name in front of his wife, for fear of further hurting this woman.

"No, no... this is impossible." She was pronounced dead. I watched her lifeless body being buried with my own eyes! Li Gong told himself.

He felt as if he were going mad. Was this the result of bitter remorse? Was it that his eyes deceived him?

Duke Li looked up and saw the surprised and shocked expressions on the faces of his ministers. He realized that he was not the only one who saw this striking resemblance.

"Master Li, the girl is still breathing!" A servant shouted immediately. With a trembling finger, he pointed at Xueyue's chest. It barely moved, but upon closer inspection, her breathing was steady and slow.

King Li looked at the dried blood, which flowed from his forehead to his face, and then to the bruises all over his face. He didn't know what happened to the girl, but as long as he looked at her, he guessed that the girl must have done something wrong. Being beaten like this, he couldn't help but wonder what she had done.

"Take her back to the manor and call the best doctor in the Fourth Town immediately!" Duke Li ordered his subjects.

Hearing the master's stern voice, the servants immediately recovered from their shock and started working. Several servants ran to Lanbei City to ask for the best doctor in the city, and the other servants carefully carried Xueyue back to the Li Mansion.

The whole time, King Li bit his nails nervously. He didn't know what he would say to his wife when she brought the girl home, but he hoped she would have a good reaction to the girl.

The worst outcome is to send the unconscious girl out of the Li Mansion...but the best response is that Princess Li allows the girl to stay in the Li Mansion. How much the girl looks like their daughter Li Minghua, he hopes that the girl can make his wife happy.

"Doctor Yu, how is her condition?" King Li asked the frail old man in front of him.

I've done everything I could to heal the girl, and only time will tell when she will wake up." Doctor Yu explained to Li Gong as he began to pack up his materials.

"Try to have a servant drip this down her throat three times a day. These bandages need to be changed every two days." Doctor Yu placed all the medicines and bandages on the polished wooden table beside him.

"Judging from the bruises and blows to her head, she was most likely beaten severely. It's a miracle that she survived such a severe blow to the head," said Dr. Yu as he closed the wooden basket containing the material.

"Luckily, someone covered her body with thick leaves. If not, the heavy rain the night before would have caused her hypothermia, which would have been fatal." Doctor Yu said to Mr. Li, who was listening attentively to the old man in front of him.

King Li's eyes fell on the girl's clean face. The blood on her face had been washed away, and although her soft features were covered with some ugly bruises, she was obviously a very beautiful girl... perhaps more beautiful than his precious daughter.

Seeing her unconscious, he felt uneasy in his stomach. King Li asked in a low voice: "When will she wake up?"

King Li sighed heavily, his shoulders drooping. He walked over to the girl and carefully sat down beside the bed. After observing Xueyue's face for a few seconds, his heart suddenly tightened when he saw the resemblance between the unconscious girl and his daughter Li Minghua.

King Li gritted his teeth and forced himself out the door. Strolling along the open corridor and taking in the vast gardens and huge pond of the manor, Duke Li prepared to tell his wife the amazing news.
