Learn magic in Harry Potter

Chapter 3 Diagon Alley

When Wright received the message, he reacted instantly. He became alert in his heart but remained expressionless.

While Light was secretly on guard against the Dark Lord.

At this time, a pungent smell of garlic came, and as the young man with a large bandage wrapped around his head approached, the smell became stronger.

Hagrid didn't know whether he smelled or saw the man, but he smiled and greeted him, "Professor Quirrell, long time no see."

Professor Quirrell, with a bandage wrapped around his head, greeted Hagrid in a low voice.

Then he stared at Harry and stammered with excitement: "Harry... Potter, it's nice to meet you."

Harry looked at this strange man and replied a little nervously: "Me too, Professor. Nice to meet you!"

Wright couldn't help curling his lips when he saw this scene, and thought a little greedily: "Why don't you give me a milestone for the first meeting between the Savior and the Dark Lord!"

Thinking of this, Wright suddenly had an idea and took the initiative to greet Qi Luo:

"Hello, Professor. My name is Wright Ruggs." He was about to shake hands with Quirrell.

Seeing this, Quirrell rubbed his hands, then rubbed his black robe and shook hands with Wright, as if he was afraid of something.

The stone tablet also sent a message at this time: "Completed mileage 'Contact with the Dark Lord' mileage point plus 1."

After shaking hands with the smiling Wright, Quirrell continued to stutter, "I am... your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher this year..."

Seeing that Quirrell wanted to say something else, Hagrid interrupted him and said, "I'm sorry, Professor. Let's talk about this after school starts. We're in a hurry right now."

Quirrell, who was interrupted, hurriedly replied: "Okay, you guys go ahead and do your work. See you when school starts. I'll be leaving first." After saying that, he turned and left.

Seeing this, Harry pulled Wright over and asked in a worried voice, "Wright, this professor is so weird! I don't think it's good. Are all the teachers in magic schools so weird?"

Seeing Harry's worry, Wright said nonchalantly, "No, it's just that Professor Quirrell is like this."

Then he suddenly thought of Snape who would always embarrass Harry and then changed his words: "I don't know either. I'm just a freshman."

While Harry and Wright were talking, Hagrid took out a small flower umbrella from somewhere and said to them:

"The entrance to Diagon Alley is right here. Wizards and witches basically buy things here. To enter Diagon Alley, you need to touch these bricks in a specific order, like this."

After saying that, he tapped the wall a few times with the small flower umbrella. The wall made a 'creaking' sound and suddenly caved in, then folded and turned into an arched door.

Hagrid took the lead and passed through the arched door first.

Light and Harry followed and walked through the door. Light was completely shocked even though he was mentally prepared.

A long street about four or five meters wide appeared before our eyes, with cobblestones laid evenly on the ground.

On both sides are all kinds of weird and wonderful shops, and the display windows are filled with all kinds of strange things.

Wizards in wizard robes walked the streets and went into stores to shop, while owls and crows flew around in the sky.

While Wright was still in shock, another message came from the stone tablet.

"Completed the mileage 'The Beginning of the Magical World', mileage point increased by 1."

Wright also came back to his senses.

At this time, the leader Hagrid said in a deep voice: "We need to go to Gringotts to get money first. We still have a lot of things to buy."

After saying that, he pulled the zipper, and Harry, who had not yet come to his senses, walked forward.

Wright followed closely behind, but his eyes moved around with his head, as if he couldn't see enough.

Follow Hagrid to the fork in the road. On the opposite side of the road is a tall white building.

Hagrid pointed with his thumb at the white building and said, "That's Gringotts. It's the wizards' bank and also the safest place besides Hogwarts."

After saying that, Hagrid took Wright and Harry into Gringotts.

The main door of Gringotts was a shining bronze door. On both sides of the door stood goblin guards wearing uniforms with scarlet trims, staring at everyone entering and leaving with vigilant eyes.

Continuing forward is a silver-white gate with large, eye-catching characters engraved on it.

"Come in, stranger. But beware of the consequences of greed.

Those who blindly demand and gain without working for it will be severely punished.

If you want to take any wealth from our underground vault that does not belong to you.

You have been warned, thief! Beware of the danger that may come to you instead of treasure."

Hagrid took Harry and Wright to a tall marble hall. A huge chandelier hung in the center of the hall. Four huge stone pillars supported this magnificent hall.

Dozens of goblins sat on high stools that were completely inconsistent with their heights, handling business behind a long counter.

I saw so many strange creatures that were only half a person's height, with long and pointed ears and glasses that seemed to be protruding, but they wore ties and suits and looked like human beings.

Knowing that these goblin-like creatures were goblins, Light, a staff member of Gringotts, looked around with great interest.

Harry pulled Hagrid and whispered, "What are these?"

"It's a goblin, a clever but cunning magical creature." Hagrid answered Harry in a low voice, which he thought was heard even by Wright who was looking around.

Then Hagrid called Harry and asked him to wait a moment, and took Wright to the counter to start applying for the scholarship.

Hagrid and Wright walked up to a goblin whose skin was still wrinkled and was counting coins.

Hagrid's massive bulk blocked out the light, and shadows obscured the goblin.

Sensing someone coming, the goblin looked up and saw Hagrid. Perhaps it was because Hagrid's tall body was too intimidating, but Wright trembled when he saw the goblin.

But this goblin was very professional. He was only startled for a moment before quickly returning to work and asked in a sharp voice, "Hello, what business do you want to handle?"

Hagrid lowered his voice and put the documents on the long cabinet and said, "I have made an appointment. I am applying for a student loan at Hogwarts. The applicant is "Wright Ruggles."

The fairy quickly checked the information and confirmed it, then put it away. He took out another document and said to Wright:

"Okay, confirmed that it's me. Please sign here." The goblin handling the business pointed to the bottom of the parchment.

After signing his name and confirming that there were no problems, Wright received an interest-free student loan jointly provided by the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts.

After Hagrid saw Wright finish his business and get the money, he said to Wright:

"Harry's process for getting the money is different than yours. You wait here for us and we'll go purchase the items once we're done."

After saying that, he waved to Harry and asked him to come over to do business.

Wright said it was no problem, and watched them go to the vault belonging to the 'Porter Family'.
