Chapter 4 Ollivander's Wand Shop

Wright watched as Hagrid and Harry were led into the vault by a goblin.

Recalling the original plot, the gold coins piled up like a mountain, that scene was simply enviable!

As Light's thoughts were scattered, he suddenly remembered that Quirrell, who was possessed by Voldemort, appeared in the Leaky Cauldron.

Is he planning to storm Gringotts in the near future to prepare for the Sorcerer's Stone?

Thinking of this, Wright looked around with greater interest, while also wondering whether the Philosopher's Stone could provide him with milestone points.

"Wright, we've finished getting our stuff. Hagrid's waiting at the door for us to go over and do our shopping together."

Harry's voice woke up Wright, who was beginning to become dazed from waiting.

After coming to his senses, Wright agreed and walked towards Hagrid at the door.

Hagrid saw the two of them coming together and began to speak: "The first thing to become a wizard is to get a wand. This is also the most important thing for us to come here."

As he spoke, he led the two of them to a shop. The shop had an old and small storefront, and there was a magic wand placed on a cushion in the window at the door.

A sign above the door reads "Olivanders, Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C."

Hagrid pushed open the door and walked in. The doorbell rang, and Wright and Harry also walked in with the crisp sound of the doorbell.

The space inside the store is not big. Apart from the counter and a bench, the rest are thousands of long and narrow cardboard boxes containing magic wands. The boxes on the shelves are piled all the way to the ceiling, as if they have not been properly taken care of.

At this time, a white-haired old man came out silently from behind the shelf. In the dim store, the old man seemed to be glowing faintly, as if he was the only light source in the store.

When Hagrid saw his boss appear, he said in a loud voice: "We are here to buy wands. Both of us are freshmen at Hogwarts."

After saying that, he introduced to Harry and Wright: "This is the owner of the wand shop, Mr. Ollivander." He introduced the owner to Wright and the others.

Ollivander looked at Harry and Wright, who were almost squeezed into a ball by Hagrid, and said, "Hagrid, you wait at the door first! I will pick out suitable wands for them."

Hagrid had no objection, bent down and went out.

With Hagrid out, Light and Harry didn't have to be squeezed together.

Then the two of them greeted Ollivander: "Hello, sir. I'm Wright Ruggs."

"Hello, I'm Harry Potter"

Ollivander nodded and said, "So who of you will go first?"

Harry glanced at Wright anxiously, and Wright said, "I'll go first."

Ollivander couldn't help but smile when he saw this scene and said, "Then let Mr. Rags go first! Don't worry, there's no danger."

"Come on, put your hands up." Following Ollivander's command, the tape measure in his pocket automatically flew to Wright and began various measurements.

First the arm length, leg length and waist length were measured, and later even the distance between the eyes and the distance from the neck to the top of the head were measured.

After the data was measured, Ollivander began to ask: "Which is your dominant hand?"

"Right hand."

"Try this one!" A box flew over.

"Eleven and two-thirds inches, the shaft is walnut, and the heart is made of unicorn hair."

As soon as Wright touched the wand, Ollivander snatched it back.

"This one isn't!"

"Then try this! The body of the Whomping Willow, the core of the Dragon's Heartstring."

Light took the wand and waved it like in the movies, and a burst of sparks flew from the top of the wand.

"Absolutely not. This one is not allowed either."

This time, the magic wand emitted a wave of light that turned the counter into a dark mass.

"What about this one? The shaft is made of cedar wood, and the tail hair is made of Yeqi."

Wright took the wand and swung it again, and with a bang, the wand flew away.

After trying five or six wands, some didn't react much while others reacted too much, and some were basically suitable but there was always a feeling that the magic power was not flowing smoothly.

Light could feel that his magic wasn't a good match for these wands.

Although he tried many times, Ollivander did not get tired at all, as if he was doing what made him happiest.

And Harry, who was standing next to him, didn't feel bored at all after seeing all kinds of crackling stunts.

I tried several more wands, but still couldn't find the right one.

Ollivander seemed to have never seen such a difficult wizard before, and he took out the wand with even more interest.

Suddenly, the stone tablet in my mind vibrated and a message came.

"Complete the mileage 'Exclusive Magic Wand' and add 1 mileage point."

At the same time as the message came, a box that had just flown in caught Light's attention. He could clearly feel something was different before he saw the wand.

Ollivander opened the box and began to introduce: "The shaft is made of ebony, and the core is made of the giant's Achilles tendon. It is twelve inches long."

Wright took the magic wand and felt that the magic power was flowing very smoothly. With another light wave, colorful light shot out from the magic wand and illuminated the store.

Ollivander also smiled when he saw this.

"It seems that you two are a good match. The owners of ebony wands that I have seen are generally very determined, have pure thoughts, and have their own will."

“I hope you can grow from each other and don’t let each other down.”

"It sounds so much like a marriage." Wright was speechless.

Harry was also excited when he saw this and said, "Great, congratulations to you, Wright. What about me! What about me!"

Ollivander smiled and said, "Now let's get started!"

Wright walked aside and watched Harry go through the process. Just like in the original book, Harry also got his own twin wands made of 'Phoenix tail feathers'.

Ollivander looked from the lightning scar on Harry's head to the wand in his hand.

I began to sigh: "Maybe this is fate!"

Harry, on the other hand, had a confused look on his face, while Wright calmly watched a scene from the original book.

"So, the total city benefit is 50 Galleons! Pay it all or separately?" Ollivander said with a smile.

"Let's pay separately!" Harry, who originally wanted to pay together, didn't say anything more after hearing Wright's request.

He walked out of the shop with Harry, holding his own ebony wand. Hagrid was standing at the door, as if he had never left.

When Hagrid saw the two of them coming out, he asked hurriedly, "Have you bought the right wands? Then we'll go buy other things next."

Hagrid took Harry and Wright to Madam Malkin's Robe Shop, where school uniforms were custom made.

Hagrid is still waiting at the door

Wright frowned when he saw the price of customized school uniforms. He originally felt that he had a lot of scholarships, but now it seems that it is not enough!

After Harry took the measurements, he saw that Light hadn't measured his size and asked, "What's wrong with Light? Don't you want to buy a school uniform?"

Wright smiled and shook his head. "I'd better buy a second-hand one! I don't have much money."

Harry suddenly said, "I can pay for you. I'm quite rich."

Seeing Harry's seriousness, Wright patted Harry on the shoulder and said, "Thank you very much, but I have my own ideas!"

Seeing this, Harry had no choice but to give up.
