Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 112 Wood's Special Training

"See? You need to be faster and more decisive!" Wood jumped off the broom and walked to Salina. His breathing was a little rapid, and his warm breath gently sprayed on Salina's ears when he spoke, making her feel inexplicably nervous.

"Try it again!" Wood said, throwing the Quaffle to Salina, his eyes full of encouragement.

Sharina took a deep breath and focused her attention on the ball in front of her. She told herself not to be nervous and to keep Wood's words in mind.

After trying again and again and failing again and again, beads of sweat appeared on Salina's forehead, but she did not give up.

She constantly adjusted her breathing and rhythm, trying hard to apply the techniques Wood taught her to actual combat.

"Great, that's it!" Wood's voice sounded in her ears. Salina looked up and found Wood rushing towards her on a broom.

This time, Selina did not rush to intercept as before, but patiently observed Wood's movements, waiting for the best time to shoot.

Suddenly, Salina noticed a hint of hesitation in Wood's eyes. She immediately realized that this was his habitual offensive move and also her chance to break through!

"Now!" Salina said in her heart, she accelerated suddenly and rushed towards Wood's right side.

Wood obviously did not expect Selina to suddenly accelerate. By the time he reacted, Selina had bypassed his defense and came to the front of the goal.

"Beautiful!" Wood couldn't help but exclaim.

Sharina ignored Wood's praise. She flicked her wrist and shot the Quaffle accurately into the goal.

"Great, Salina!" Cheers from Ginny and others came from a distance.

Salina raised her head and met Wood's gaze.

There was a gleam of appreciation and approval in his eyes, and the corners of his mouth were slightly raised, outlining a charming arc.

The afterglow of the setting sun fell on the court, making the two figures look particularly slender.

……

The early morning sun shines through the windows of Hogwarts Castle and falls onto the Quidditch field, casting a golden glow on the green grass.

Sharina arrived at the stadium early and started her day's Quidditch training.

Since joining the Gryffindor team, Captain Wood has developed a strict training plan for her. In addition to training with other players every day, she also has to undergo individual intensive training.

Salina took a deep breath, and the fresh air refreshed her.

She stretched her muscles and started today's warm-up training.

Running, jumping, stretching... every movement is done seriously and attentively.

"Salina, are you ready?" Wood's voice came from a distance, breaking the silence of the court.

Salina looked in the direction of the voice and saw Captain Wood, wearing the Gryffindor uniform and holding a broom, striding towards her.

The morning sun shone on him, adding a touch of softness to his angular face.

"Ready." Salina responded, her eyes full of anticipation and excitement.

Wood nodded and threw the broom in his hand to Sharina.

"Salina, your pitching power is good, but the angle needs to be more tricky. You need to learn to utilize every corner of the court." Wood instructed Salina while demonstrating to her.

He rode on a broom like a nimble eagle, drawing graceful arcs in the air.

Every dive, every pitch, was filled with power and beauty.

"Hey, what are you daydreaming about?" Wood noticed that Sharina was absent-minded and couldn't help but joked, "I don't want you to forget to pitch during the game because you're so engrossed in watching me."

"Sorry..." Salina's cheeks instantly became hot. She lowered her head hurriedly, trying to hide her embarrassment. "I was just observing your movements and learning your techniques."

"Really?" Wood raised his eyebrows, a sly light flashed in his eyes, "Well, let's practice it in real combat and show me how much you have learned."

After saying that, Wood rode his broom to the goal and got ready for defense. "Come on, let me see what you can do."

Salina took a deep breath and tried to calm her accelerated heartbeat.

She rode on her broom, staring closely at Wood, trying to find a hole in his defense.

However, Wood was like an insurmountable mountain. No matter from which angle Sharina attacked, he could always predict her route in advance and easily resolve her attack.

After several attacks were resolved, Salina couldn't help feeling discouraged. She bit her lip and decided to change her tactics.

"Trying to trick me with a fake move?" Wood seemed to see through Salina's thoughts, and a playful arc appeared on the corner of his mouth. "Do you think I will be fooled so easily?"

Sharina ignored Wood's provocation. She took a deep breath and focused all her attention on the ball in front of her.

She suddenly accelerated and rushed towards Wood's right side. Just as she was about to approach the goal, she suddenly turned her wrist and made a fake move to throw the ball to the left.

"I've been fooled!" Salina was secretly delighted and was about to throw the ball to the right, but suddenly she felt her broom was hit by something and her whole body lost balance.

"Ah!" Salina screamed and fell off the broom.

At the critical moment, a strong arm grabbed her waist in time and held her tightly in his arms.

"Be careful, don't get hurt." Wood's concerned voice sounded in his ears, with a hint of imperceptible tenderness.

Salina raised her head and met Wood's deep eyes.

There were twinkling stars in his eyes, reflecting her figure, as if there were only the two of them left in the whole world.

When their eyes met, time seemed to stand still. Salina could clearly feel Wood's warm breath spraying on her cheeks, making her already hot cheeks even hotter.

"I, I'm fine..." Salina hurriedly pushed Wood away, trying to distance themselves from each other, but accidentally touched his strong chest, which made her even more flustered and her speech began to stutter.

"Why is your face so red? Are you feeling unwell?" Looking at Salina's flustered look, Wood couldn't help but reach out to touch her forehead, but she dodged him fiercely.

"I, I'm really fine! I just...just..." Salina explained incoherently, but she didn't know how to explain her strangeness at the moment.

"Just what?" Wood looked at Salina's flustered look, the smile on his face became more obvious, and a playful light flashed in his eyes.

Salina was stunned for a moment, and suddenly asked softly, "Captain, did you do this on purpose?"

She took a small step forward tentatively, her nose filled with the faint minty scent of Wood.

He raised his head slightly, and stared at Wood closely, trying to catch the slightest change in expression on his face. His focused look seemed to see through Wood.

Wood's cheeks flushed, and he coughed lightly, his Adam's apple unconsciously moving up and down, trying to hide his discomfort. He slowly loosened his arms around Salina, pretending to be calm and turned his face away, as if he didn't want her to see his current appearance.

"That's all for today's training. You can go back." Wood's voice sounded a little hoarse, as if he was trying to hide some emotion.

He turned his back to Salina and lowered his eyes. His thick eyelashes cast a shadow on his eye sockets, hiding the emotions surging in his eyes.

The slender fingers tightly grasped the broom, the knuckles shone a little white, as if trying to restrain something.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his disordered breathing, and did not look back.

Selina stared at Wood's back for a long time, hesitated for a moment, and finally turned around and left the training ground with light steps.

The breeze blew her ponytail, brushing against her blushing cheeks and against Wood's heart.
