Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 113 Percy's Notes

Wood watched Salina leave the court. The afterglow of the setting sun shone on her, outlining a golden silhouette.

He saw her gently lift the strands of hair by her ears, and the familiar faint floral scent seemed to linger around his nose again.

He couldn't help but raise his hand and feel the remaining warmth in his palm, which was the warmth of her waist, soft and warm.

He remembered the panicked look in her eyes when she fell, the soft touch of her chest when she touched him in panic, and the pleasant light floral scent on her body.

The heartbeat roared in his ears, again and again, vibrating his eardrums and his soul.

"Merlin, what's wrong with me?" Wood patted his hot cheeks, trying to calm himself down.

Sharina returned to Gryffindor Tower and pushed open the door of the common room. A warm breath hit her face. The crackling fire dispelled the evening chill, baking the room and exuding a faint wood aroma.

Students were chatting or reading in groups of three or four. The sound of laughter and the turning of pages mixed together, creating a relaxed and pleasant scene.

Salina slowed down her pace and walked across the room. As she passed the window, she saw a familiar figure.

Percy was sitting in an armchair by the window, the sunlight shining through the glass window onto his body, giving him a golden halo.

He held a thick book in his hand, his slender fingers gently stroking the pages, his brows slightly furrowed, his deep eyes fixed on the pages, he seemed to be concentrating on the contents of the book and did not notice Salina's arrival at all.

"Hey, Percy." Serena called softly.

Percy looked up and saw that it was Salina. A gentle smile immediately appeared on his tense face: "Salina, are you done with your training?"

"Yeah." Salina responded and leaned the flying broom casually against the wall. "What book are you reading? So serious." She asked curiously, her eyes sweeping over the book in Percy's hand.

Percy: "Oh, it's a book about regime change at the Ministry of Magic. I've been researching that lately."

"Change of regime in the Ministry of Magic?" Salina frowned slightly. "That sounds really complicated."

Percy: "It's a bit difficult, but very interesting," he smiled and closed the book. "By the way, I've found the answer to the potion question you asked me last time."

"Really?" Salina's eyes lit up, her attention was diverted instantly, and she couldn't wait to sit down in the chair opposite Percy.

Percy reached out and took out a notebook from the pile of books behind him. His fingertips accidentally touched the back of Salina's hand. The warm and soft touch made his heart tremble slightly.

He pulled out his notebook and handed it to Salina. There was a faint smell of parchment and ink mixed with her unique faint floral scent...

"Look," Percy cleared his throat, trying to hide his inner turmoil, "Professor Snape said in class that if you want to prepare... the antidote, you must..."

As he spoke, he flipped open his notes, his slender fingers sliding gently across the yellowed pages, searching for relevant paragraphs.

Salina listened attentively, her black hair falling beside her cheeks, contrasting with her fair skin, emitting a faint luster.

He couldn't help but move his eyes away from his notes and look at Salina's delicate profile. Her eyelashes were long and curled, trembling slightly with her breathing, like a dancing butterfly.

Percy's voice was low and magnetic, and Serena was fascinated by it. Unconsciously, the distance between them was getting closer and closer, so close that he could feel Serena's warm breath spraying on his ears.

"Percy?" Salina suddenly called him, and Percy realized that he was staring at Salina's lips intently.

He hurriedly moved his eyes away from Salina's lips, but accidentally fell into Salina's clear eyes.

Time seemed to stand still at this moment. Percy's heart was beating wildly in his chest and he could clearly hear the sound of his blood flowing.

Percy moved unconsciously, wanting to move back a little, but was afraid of disturbing Salina.

He felt his heart beating rapidly, and it was beating against his eardrums like a drum.

Salina's eyes were clear and focused, shining like stars in the night sky, making his face flush with warmth.

He wasn't sure if he was too close, or if the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room was burning too brightly, because a hot breath filled his chest.

"So, the step you mentioned is to add the dragon Asakusa immediately after stirring the crucible three times?" Salina asked, pointing to the sketch in Percy's notebook.

"Yes, but not ordinary stirring," Percy cleared his throat, trying to make his voice sound normal, and pushed the potion notebook closer to Salina, "Look here, the notebook says to do it like this..."

He took a deep breath, mustered up the courage to reach out his hand, gently held Salina's wrist, and his fingertips inadvertently touched her smooth skin.

Salina's hand trembled slightly, but she did not struggle. Instead, she obediently let Percy guide her. Under his guidance, her slender index finger moved slowly on the table, circle after circle, outlining a complex spiral pattern.

Percy felt his face getting even hotter. Serena's fingers were soft and warm, as if carrying a trace of electricity, making his already panicked heartbeat even more intense.

"You look nervous, Percy." Salina suddenly asked softly, her voice as soft as a feather brushing against his ears, making Percy feel as if his heart skipped a beat.

He felt his cheeks getting hot and subconsciously wanted to avoid Salina's gaze, so he hurriedly looked away, but his eyes fell on the jumping fire. The flickering firelight reflected Salina's fair skin, as if it was coated with a layer of golden halo.

"Maybe the fireplace is too hot." Percy looked away awkwardly, trying to hide his panic.

Serena gently closed Percy's notebook with a crisp sound. "Thank you, Percy, you explained it very clearly. I think I understand it now."

As she spoke, she raised her head and gave Percy a bright smile. Dimples appeared shallowly on her cheeks. Percy seemed to smell a faint floral fragrance, like a dewy rose on a summer morning.

"Then I'll go back to the dormitory first. See you tomorrow." Serena said, reaching out to hug the thick potion notebook to her chest, then stood up. Only then did Percy notice that Serena was only half a head shorter than him.

Salina turned and walked towards the exit of the Gryffindor common room, her hair drawing a graceful arc in the air, and then disappeared behind the door.

Outside the window, silver moonlight poured in through the window of the Gryffindor common room, illuminating the withering pot of mimosa on the windowsill especially brightly.

Percy looked out the window. In the night sky, a full moon was rising slowly. The stars around it seemed exceptionally bright, like sparkling diamonds.

Salina's every smile, every move, now appeared in his mind, just like the moonlight, clear and bright.

He seemed to be possessed, constantly recalling the feeling of Salina's slender fingers sliding across his palm and the faint floral scent on her body.
