Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 117 Colin's Invitation

The next morning, the Forbidden Forest outside Hogwarts Castle was faintly visible in the morning mist, and the sky in the distance was dyed a dreamy pink and purple by the morning glow. The sun shone through the window lattice and filled the entire dormitory. Salina's mood was as bright as the weather.

At this moment, the door of the common room was pushed open with a bang. Salina was startled and the quill in her hand left a long ink mark on the parchment.

She looked up and saw Colin's small round face with freckles squeezed in through the crack in the door. His golden hair was disheveled and his face was full of excitement.

Colin was breathing heavily, his chest heaving violently, obviously from running all the way here.

His eyes sparkled, as if he had discovered some treasure, and he couldn't wait to share it with Salina: "Salina! The weather is so nice today, do you want to go to Hagrid's Hut to take some pictures of the scenery?"

He said, waving the camera in his hand excitedly, "I bought a new camera, it's super cool!"

Salina wanted to refuse. After all, she would rather take advantage of the good weather to read quietly in the dormitory. But when she saw Colin's expectant eyes, which were sparkling with watery light, she couldn't bear to reject his kindness, so she put down the quill in her hand, nodded gently and agreed.

Along the way, Colin waved his arms excitedly and talked incessantly to Selina about his new camera, from aperture to shutter, from focal length to depth of field, and he wanted to show her all the functions.

Salina stopped from time to time, carefully observing the camera in Colin's hand, nodding, smiling, and nodding in agreement in a gentle voice.

"Look, this camera has a special function. It can take portrait photos, which makes people look particularly beautiful!" Colin said, his cheeks slightly flushed, and he secretly glanced at Salina.

"Really? Can you take a few pictures for me later?" Salina didn't notice Colin's abnormality and just asked with a smile.

"Of course!" Colin was so excited that he almost threw the camera away. He quickly adjusted his breathing and tried to make himself look more natural.

When they arrived near Hagrid's Hut, the bright sunshine happened to shine on the open space at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, creating dappled patterns of light and shadow.

Smoke was rising from Hagrid's crooked little house, making it look particularly cozy in the sunshine.

Not far away, a large pumpkin field was bathed in golden sunlight. The round pumpkins lay lazily on the ground, as if enjoying the leisure time in the afternoon.

A few Bowtruckles jumped among the branches at the edge of the forbidden forest, making "clucking" sounds, adding a touch of vitality to the quiet scenery.

"Wow, it's so beautiful here! It's a photography paradise!" Colin couldn't help but exclaimed. He took a deep breath, as if he wanted to breathe all the fresh and sweet air into his lungs.

He raised his camera excitedly, and in the sunlight, his eyes sparkled with excitement, like a child who had discovered a treasure.

He quickly adjusted the focus and aperture to capture the charming scenery in his camera.

Salina watched quietly from the side, sometimes amused by Colin's funny actions, sometimes attracted by the beautiful scenery before her.

"Salina, come here quickly, I'll take some pictures for you!" Colin waved to Salina with a shy blush on his face.

Hearing the voice, Salina turned around and saw Colin standing in a sunny open space, holding a camera in his hand, looking at her expectantly.

She smiled softly, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and walked towards Colin with a brisk pace.

The soft grass swayed gently with her steps, and several colorful butterflies danced around her, as if attracted by her fragrance.

Salina walked to the position designated by Colin, with her back to the Forbidden Forest. The golden sunlight cast a soft halo on her. The breeze blew her long hair, making her look like an elf in the forest.

"Smile!" Colin's voice trembled slightly because of nervousness. Salina looked at the camera, and Colin's cheeks flushed with shyness.

Hearing Colin's words, Salina couldn't help but laugh, revealing her white teeth and shallow dimples.

The sunlight shines on her face like crystal clear pearls.

Colin's index finger gently pressed on the shutter, and he felt his heartbeat echoing in his ears like thunder.

He took a deep breath, tried to calm his excitement, and then gently pressed the shutter.

With a "click", Salina's sweet smile was captured in the camera.

"Wow! So beautiful!" Colin couldn't help but exclaim as he looked at the photos on the camera screen.

In the photo, Salina is bathed in golden sunlight, with a faint smile on her lips, looking beautiful and charming.

He couldn't help but hold his breath, and his heartbeat quickened, as if he wanted to store all the beauty of Salina at that moment into his heart.

"Really? Let me see!" Salina's curiosity was aroused when she heard Colin's admiration. She raised her feet, brought with her a burst of fragrance, and walked lightly to Colin's side, leaning forward slightly, wanting to see the photo.

Salina's approach made Colin's heart beat faster. He smelled a faint scent like gardenia, which came from Salina.

He felt his cheeks burning, and his hand holding the camera tightened unconsciously, his knuckles turning white.

He hurriedly hid the camera behind him, his eyes avoiding, not daring to look into Salina's clear eyes.

"No, there's nothing to see..." Colin's voice sounded dry, as if something was stuck in his throat.

"My skills are not very good yet, so I can't take good pictures. Let me take a few more for you!" He tried hard to force a smile, but that smile was uglier than crying.

"What's wrong? Why don't you let me see?" Salina noticed that Colin was acting strangely and became even more curious.

She reached out for the camera with a smile, and her slender fingers accidentally touched Colin's warm fingertips. Colin retracted his hand as if he had been electrocuted, but because he was too nervous, he used too much force, and the camera slipped out of his hand and drew an arc in the air.

Colin screamed and subconsciously reached out to grab it, but he caught nothing and watched the camera fall onto the grass...

Colin was quick to jump and protect the camera. The camera hit his chest and he groaned. Salina was startled by his sudden action and screamed. She subconsciously reached out to pull him, trying to steady his body, but because of her unstable center of gravity, she was dragged down to the grass with him.

Salina felt the world spinning in front of her eyes, and she could hear the rustling sound of grass leaves mixed with Colin's rapid breathing.

When she came to her senses, she found herself lying on Colin. The faint scent of grass mixed with the fresh breath of a young boy enveloped her, while Colin was holding the camera tightly. The distance between the two was terrifyingly close.

When Colin realized that Salina was so close to him that he could almost hear her breathing, his face turned red to the tips of his ears.

He felt his heartbeat like a drum, deafening. Selina's hair gently brushed across his cheek, bringing a tingling sensation that made him close his eyes.

Salina felt Colin's chest heaving violently, and her breathing became rapid. Her nostrils were filled with the scent of grass and soil, mixed with the unique smell of a young boy.

She thought she had suffocated the child and quickly propped herself up and climbed up.

"Colin, are you okay?" Salina reached out and pulled Colin up, with a hint of panic and worry in her tone.

Colin blushed and shook his head, "It's okay, I'm fine..." He looked down at the camera in his arms, "The camera is fine too..."

He raised his head, looked at Salina with flickering eyes, and asked stutteringly, "Are you...are you okay too..."

Seeing him at a loss, Salina couldn't help laughing, "Of course I'm fine, you don't have to worry."

Then Salina posed for a few more photos and asked Colin to take a few photos. The sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves, casting mottled shadows and falling on her bright smile.

Colin still didn't let Salina see the photos. He fiddled with the camera, lowered his head and said that he would wait until the photos were developed before showing them to Salina.

Salina looked at Colin's slightly red cheeks and thought that he looked shy and cute, so she smiled and nodded in agreement, just like coaxing a child.
