Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 141 A Little Accident at the Banquet

As the banquet progressed, the atmosphere in the hall became more dreamy and mysterious.

The power of magic flowed quietly, and the huge golden chandelier above the head seemed to be given life, slowly rotating and casting a dazzling light.

The jumping candle flames seemed as agile as elves, changing into all kinds of wonderful patterns, embellishing the sky blue dome like a dream.

Ghosts also joined the feast. They floated lightly from the ceiling and demonstrated difficult flying skills in mid-air. They were like a group of graceful dancers, quickly shuttling around the huge circular restaurant.

Afterwards, they gathered together, whispering, as if judging the evening's dishes and guests.

The atmosphere of the dinner became more and more lively, and everyone talked about holiday plans and exchanged learning experiences with each other.

Sharina listened quietly, occasionally interjecting a word or two. She found that the students of Beauxbatons didn't seem to be very interested in Quidditch, but instead had a great passion for ancient runes and alchemy.

Just as Salina and the girl sitting next to her were discussing Nicolas Flamel's latest alchemy paper, the door of the banquet hall was slowly pushed open, and several house-elves grunted and pushed a huge multi-layered cake into the banquet hall.

The cake was decorated with gorgeous magic fireworks, and colorful sparks sprayed out, like fireworks blooming in the night sky, making the entire banquet hall look particularly dreamy.

"Wow!" Gabrielle couldn't help but exclaim, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Furong rarely showed some little girl's attitude and stared at the huge cake curiously. The magic fireworks on the cake seemed to have attracted her attention, making her temporarily forget to maintain her perfect demeanor.

However, just as everyone was looking forward to enjoying the cake, an accident happened.

The originally gorgeous magic fireworks suddenly went out of control for some reason. They were supposed to cheerfully spray out tiny sparks, but instead they sprayed out dangerous flames, which ran rampant among the crowd like fire snakes, causing a commotion.

Screams and exclamations rang out one after another, and students stood up and hid, and the scene suddenly became chaotic.

"Damn it! Which idiot designed the fireworks!" Madame Maxime's face turned pale, and her powerful magic fluctuations made the air around her stagnate.

However, before she could make a move, a figure reacted faster than her.

Salina stood up almost subconsciously. Without even thinking about it, the wand in her hand was already pointing at the running "fire snakes".

Those "fire snakes" that were originally baring their fangs and claws were instantly frozen in mid-air after being exposed to Salina's spell, and then turned into sparks powerlessly and dissipated into the air.

The banquet hall suddenly fell silent, and everyone looked in surprise at the girl who had stood up amid the chaos.

A hint of approval flashed in Madame Maxime's deep eyes. She nodded slightly and turned her gaze to Nicolas Flamel beside her.

Nick Lemay pushed the half-moon glasses on his nose, and a gratified smile appeared on his old face. It was obvious that they were deeply impressed by Selina's courage and wit.

There was a sudden buzz of discussion in the banquet hall, as if hundreds of bees were suddenly startled. Salina could even feel that the temperature in the center of the venue had risen by several degrees.

The students of Beauxbatons gathered around, expressing their amazement and curiosity.

"Merlin's beard! How did you do that? I didn't even see your movements clearly!" A boy with fluffy red hair said in an exaggerated tone with his eyes wide open.

"Your control over spells is amazing! It's as precise as a textbook!" A girl wearing a pearl necklace looked at Salina with admiration, as if she was a legendary witch from the history of magic.

There were also a few boys who were eager to challenge Salina to a magic competition. They waved their wands, trying to attract her attention.

Surrounded by this sudden enthusiasm, Salina was a little overwhelmed and clutched the wand in her hand.

"Okay, everyone, please stay calm!" Madame Maxime's loud voice was like an invisible barrier, isolating the surrounding noise.

This lady is a student at Hogwarts, her name is Salina, and she is our distinguished guest tonight."

After hearing Madame Maxime's introduction, the students around gradually quieted down, but their eyes were still full of curiosity and inquiry when they looked at Salina.

When Furong saw this scene, she frowned slightly. She gracefully pushed through the crowd, walked to Salina, and protected her behind her without leaving any trace.

"Ignore them." Furong whispered to Salina.

"Let's go and get some fresh air in the garden." Gabrielle also squeezed next to Salina, took her arm intimately, and said excitedly: "Salina, you haven't told me what you learned in Hogwarts! Is it really as magical as described in the books?"

Serena gave Fleur a grateful look and followed her and Gabrielle out of the noisy banquet hall.

The garden outside the castle was bathed in bright moonlight, and the air was filled with a light floral scent, which was completely different from the rich food aroma in the banquet hall.

"You did a great job just now, Salina." Furong said to Salina while admiring the night view in the garden, with a hint of praise in her tone. "You are very strong and brave."

"I just did what I should do." Salina said modestly.

"But you should be more careful next time." Furong suddenly changed the subject and her tone became serious. "Some boys are not good people. They may have other purposes when they approach you."

Salina was stunned for a moment, then smiled and nodded.

"I see, Fleur, thank you for reminding me."

"Oh, sister, don't worry!" Gabrielle said with a smile, "Salina is so powerful, who dares to bully her!"

Fleur shook her head helplessly and pinched Gabrielle's nose lovingly.

"You, all you can do is make sarcastic remarks."

Gabrielle stuck out her tongue and turned to look at Serena, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Salina, you haven't told me what magic you learned in Hogwarts! Can you show it to me?"

Salina hesitated, "Is this okay here?"

"No problem! Salina, just show me! Please, please!" Gabrielle shook Salina's arm, her blue eyes flashing with anticipation, as if she would burst into tears the next second if Salina refused.

Salina looked at Furong helplessly, who was looking at them with a smile.

"Don't embarrass Salina, Gabrielle." Fleur said softly, but there was a hint of encouragement in her tone, "But, Salina, if you are willing, can you show it to us? We are all very curious."

It was hard to refuse such a kind offer, so Salina had to agree. She took a deep breath and calmed herself down.

Under the moonlight, her expression became focused and serious, as if everything around her ceased to exist. Only the wand in her hand was her only connection with the magical world.

"Expecto Patronum!"

As the spell was recited, a silver-white mist gushed out from the tip of Salina's wand, swirling in the air and gradually condensing into a clear shape.

It was a white ferret with fur as smooth as silk.

It jumps and spins lightly in the moonlight, like a silver lightning across the night sky, or like a soft feather floating in the breeze.

Fleur and Gabrielle were stunned.

They had never seen such a beautiful and lively patronus, and for a moment they even forgot to breathe.

The unicorn stayed in the air for a moment, then gracefully dissipated into the air, leaving only a faint silver light that flashed a few times in the air before disappearing.

"Wow! It's so beautiful! Salina, what kind of animal is this?" Gabrielle excitedly grabbed Salina's hand and asked impatiently.

Salina was amused by her innocence and patiently explained: "This is my patronus, it's a ferret."

"Hey...Salina, is the Patronus Charm difficult? I heard that this spell is very powerful and one of the most effective spells against Dementors." Gabrielle said excitedly, her eyes full of curiosity and yearning.

"That's right." Salina nodded and continued, "The Patronus is a very powerful magic. It is formed by memories of happiness and hope, and can resist the attacks of Dementors."
