Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 236 Tracking Draco

The next day, the sun was shining brightly. Harry, Ron and Hermione went to Diagon Alley together, ready to visit the magic shop opened by Fred and George.

This once bustling street now looks particularly deserted and desolate. Most of the shops on both sides have their doors closed, and the doors and windows are covered with dust. Only the magical slogans and decorations of the past can be vaguely seen.

The shadow of Voldemort loomed over the wizarding world, and the once bustling Diagon Alley was not immune. Many shops were forced to close due to poor business.

As Harry and the other two walked along, they saw only a few shops still open, and there were very few customers.

In sharp contrast to the bleak scene around it, Fred and George's magic shop is still brightly lit, and the window is filled with all kinds of strange and bizarre magic props, attracting the attention of passing wizards.

Walking into Fred and George's magic shop, Harry looked around and found that there were a wide variety of goods.

With the new decoration and refreshed layout, it does look more attractive than last year.

The shelves were filled with all kinds of strange magic props, colorful lights were flashing constantly, and the air was filled with all kinds of strange smells, but Fred and George were nowhere to be seen.

Harry nudged Ron next to him with his elbow and asked, "Ron, where are your brothers?"

Ron shrugged and answered blankly: "I don't know either. I'm not familiar with this place."

Hearing Ron's nonchalant answer, Hermione couldn't help but frown, with a hint of reproach in her tone: "Don't you care about your family at all?"

Ron suddenly felt wronged and annoyed. His face flushed and he defended himself, "Is this also my fault?"

At the same time, deep in Knockturn Alley, the back door of a dilapidated alchemy shop quietly opened.

Salina flashed out, her dark purple cloak drawing an elegant arc in the dim light.

She looked back and saw Fred and George walking out of the door. They had their hoods pulled low, covering most of their faces.

Salina walked quickly to the shadow of the street corner, followed closely by Fred and George. The three of them kept their distance tacitly to avoid attracting unnecessary attention.

Salina tilted her head slightly and said in a low voice, "Your new invention works very well. Terrence wrote back to me and said that the product is in short supply in the United States."

Fred reached out and pulled his hood back, revealing a wry smile. "This is the first time I get so many gold galleons and I'm not happy."

George sighed, "Me too."

There was a hint of apology in Salina's eyes, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have involved you."

"No, no, no, I don't mean to blame you." Fred waved his hands quickly.

"This was our own choice, and you actually helped us a lot," George added.

Serena smiled gratefully.

At this moment, Fred slapped his head suddenly as if he suddenly remembered something, "Oh! I almost forgot, our stupid brother seemed to say that he wanted to visit the store today."

"Oh, I forgot too. What time is it now?" George asked quickly.

Fred took out his pocket watch and took a look. "They should be here by now."

"I hope that guy didn't mess with my furnishings." George said with a hint of worry in his tone.

"Don't worry, that idiot shouldn't be able to crack the password we set." Fred smiled and comforted.

"Hahahaha, you're right." George also laughed.

"Then we'll go first." Fred said, patting George on the shoulder.

"See you later," George responded.

On the other side, Harry's eyes accidentally swept across the window and saw Draco walking stealthily past the store.

Draco walked in a hurry and looked back from time to time with a panicked look, which aroused Harry's great suspicion.

He pulled Ron's sleeve, motioned him to look out the window, and said in a low voice: "Look, isn't that Malfoy? What is he trying to do sneakily?"

Ron followed Harry's gaze and couldn't help but frowned. "This guy definitely has bad intentions. Let's follow him and see."

Having said that, he couldn't wait to rush out the door.

Hermione grabbed him and scolded him in a low voice: "Don't be impulsive! If you follow him out like this, you will be discovered!"

Ron was stunned for a moment, then he reacted and scratched his head embarrassedly.

Harry rolled his eyes and suggested, "Let's go out the back door and follow him secretly."

Hermione and Ron both agreed, and the three of them quietly slipped out the back door.

Draco walked very fast, and Harry and the others had to work hard to keep up with him.

Draco turned many corners in Knockturn Alley and finally walked into a shop called Borgin's Blog.

Harry had been to this shop before and knew that it specialized in selling items related to the Dark Arts.

Why would Draco come to such a place? Harry was even more confused.

In order not to alert the enemy, Harry and the others did not rush into the store. Instead, they climbed onto the roof opposite the store and observed Draco's every move through the window.

Draco was seen standing in a corner, stroking a strange cabinet with a focused expression. There were many strange symbols carved on the surface of the cabinet, which exuded a gloomy atmosphere.

"What is he doing?" Ron asked in a low voice, his tone full of confusion and curiosity as he watched Draco's every move.

"I don't know either," Harry shook his head, frowning, and lowered his voice, "Maybe he's buying dark magic items."

Ron took a breath, his tone full of disgust and worry: "He must be trying to do something evil. Should we report him?"

A trace of hesitation flashed across Harry's face: "Go to the Ministry of Magic? But the new Minister Scrimgeour is not familiar with us. Will he trust us?"

"You can go find my brother Percy," Ron's eyes lit up, "He seems to have been promoted recently, so he should have some power. Although my father said that he succeeded by taking sides in speculation..."

Ron was interrupted by Hermione before he finished speaking. She frowned and retorted in a serious tone: "That's not Percy's fault. The Ministry of Magic is like a battlefield without the smoke of gunpowder. It's not that easy to take sides. What's more, Percy is very capable."

Ron curled his lips, with a hint of dissatisfaction in his tone: "Okay, I know you know a lot, so there's no need to emphasize it."

Hermione ignored Ron's sarcasm and said to herself, "I'm just preparing to enter the Ministry of Magic. After all, understanding some of the workings of the Ministry of Magic will be very helpful in the future."

"What? You're going to join the Ministry of Magic?" Harry's eyes widened in surprise. It was the first time he heard Hermione think of this.

"This is just one of my plans," Hermione said as a matter of course, "Don't you have any plans for the future? We are already in the sixth grade and will graduate soon. We have to plan for the future."

Ron exclaimed exaggeratedly: "Oh my God, have you eaten up that much time? Graduation? That's still a long time in the future, isn't it too early to think about it now?"

"It's really hard to communicate with people like you," Hermione rolled her eyes, her tone full of helplessness and disappointment, "You only know how to eat and eat, without any long-term plans."

"Alright, alright, you two," Harry hurriedly came out to smooth things over as he saw the two men were about to quarrel again, "Now is not the time to quarrel, let's focus on Malfoy first and see what he wants to do."

"That's right, she's the one who's always looking for trouble," Ron muttered softly, obviously still upset about what Hermione had just said.

"I'm just correcting your mistake!" Hermione hit back without showing any weakness.
