Hogwarts Lion Girl
Chapter 237 Meeting in Knockturn Alley
Harry and the other two were still arguing and didn't notice the footsteps coming from behind them.
"Ahem." A familiar voice sounded behind them, "What are you three little brats doing hiding here?"
Harry started and turned around to find Fred and George standing behind them with teasing smiles on their faces.
"Fred! George!" Ron shouted in surprise, "Why are you here?"
"We just happened to pass by here," George said, looking curiously in the direction they were looking at. "What are you looking at? You look so engrossed in it."
"It was Malfoy," said Harry solemnly. "We saw him sneaking into the shop."
"That shop? Oh, I see. Borgin and Burke's, right?" Fred said, suddenly realizing. "That guy must have gone to buy some Dark Magic stuff again."
"Should we report him?" Ron suggested eagerly, "He definitely has bad intentions!"
"Come on, Ron," George patted Ron on the shoulder and said with a smile, "It would be strange if the Malfoy family didn't have some dark magic items. Besides, the new Minister of Magic, Scrimgeour, is busy winning people's hearts and minds now. He won't offend the Malfoy family for such a small matter."
"It's so dark!" Ron said indignantly, "The world of adults is so complicated."
Fred gave Ron a slap on the face and said with a smile, "Okay, don't think about it. Come on, let's go back to the store. We have developed some interesting gadgets. I'm sure you will like them!"
As he spoke, Fred hooked his arm around Ron's neck without saying anything and dragged him towards the store.
"Come on," George also said with a smile, "you guys should go and have a look too."
Hermione nodded, exchanged a glance with Harry, and quickly followed.
When Draco left Knockturn Alley, his steps were hurried, and his dark cloak covered most of his face, revealing only his well-defined jaw and a pair of vigilant eyes.
He kept his head down and walked through the narrow and dirty streets, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone.
Just as he was about to walk out of the dark and damp alley, a familiar figure came into his sight.
At this moment, Salina was standing at the door of a potion material store, carefully selecting the items she needed.
She was wearing a dark blue robe today, with her long black hair tied into a simple ponytail at the back of her head. A few strands of hair hung playfully on her cheeks, adding a bit of agility to her.
After discovering Salina, Draco's originally tense body relaxed slightly. He stopped, hesitated for a moment, and then walked over.
"Good students will come here too?" There was a hint of sarcasm in Draco's voice, but more of it was surprise and a hint of worry that he himself was not even aware of.
When Sharina heard the voice, she looked up and saw it was Draco. She frowned slightly, but quickly regained her composure.
"Potion ingredients don't take into account where they appear," she responded calmly, with no emotion in her tone.
"Have you finished your shopping?" Draco asked, his eyes sweeping over the shopping bag in Salina's hand.
"Basically, everything is ready." Salina answered concisely.
"Then leave quickly, it's not safe here." There was a barely perceptible concern in Draco's tone. He subconsciously wanted to reach out to pull Serena, but withdrew his hand in time.
Salina glanced at Draco. His face was full of fatigue and hidden anxiety. His eyes were flickering, as if he was avoiding something.
"Thank you for the reminder, but you shouldn't stay too long." After saying that, Salina turned and left.
Draco looked at Salina's departing back and smiled self-deprecatingly. His smile was full of bitterness and helplessness.
He reached out and grasped his arm, where the Death Eater's mark still hurt slightly, as if reminding him of his responsibilities and the darkness he was about to face.
"I am already a person wandering in the darkness, and this is where I should be." Draco murmured in a low voice, his tone full of pain and struggle.
……
The Hogwarts Express was speeding on the way back to school. The carriage was filled with laughter, but Harry's heart was shrouded in a haze.
Recalling the gloomy and evasive look on Draco's face when he met him in Knockturn Alley, Harry felt vaguely uneasy.
He told Ron and Hermione his guess, "I think Draco is very likely to have joined the Death Eaters."
Ron and Hermione both found it incredible after hearing Harry's analysis.
"Draco? Don't be ridiculous, Harry! How could he?" Ron couldn't help but retort.
Hermione agreed, "Yeah, Harry, aren't you overthinking this?"
Harry knew that his idea was a bit bold, after all, he had no solid evidence.
But the uneasy feeling in his heart lingered.
In order to confirm his guess, he decided to go to Draco to ask him clearly.
He took out the invisibility cloak from the suitcase, put it on, and quietly walked out of the car.
Goyle and Crabbe were vividly describing the "adventures" they had during the summer vacation. Their exaggerated tones and funny expressions made people around them laugh.
Draco leaned against the wall of the carriage bored, sipping pumpkin juice intermittently, and did not comment on their boasting.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the box on the luggage rack seemed to move.
He calmly put down the cup in his hand, glanced around inconspicuously, and after confirming that no one noticed this detail, he turned his head to Goyle and Crabbe pretending to be nonchalant and continued to listen to those absurd stories.
The Hogwarts Express slowly pulled into the platform. The noisy carriage gradually quieted down and the students began to pack their luggage, preparing for the new semester.
Draco deliberately dawdled until he and the slight movement on the luggage rack were the only ones left in the carriage, then he stood up slowly.
He looked around cautiously, making sure that all other students had left and only a few pieces of luggage were left in the empty carriage. Only then did he walk to the door with confidence and look outside.
After making sure that the corridor was empty, he quickly closed the carriage door and gently pulled the bolt.
He turned around, his eyes were sharp, a sneer appeared on the corner of his mouth, and the wand in his hand had quietly slipped out of his sleeve.
Without any hesitation, he whispered the spell: "Rictusempra!"
A petrification spell, accompanied by a sharp gust of wind, shot straight at the slightly trembling shadow on the luggage rack.
With a dull thud, a figure fell from the luggage rack and landed heavily on the ground.
Draco walked forward calmly, bent down, and pulled off Harry's invisibility cloak, revealing his face which looked a little funny because of shock.
